Most of there travel so far was spent in silence, potentially the awkward kind. Rin didn't see it that way. She was used to prolonged moments where no speech was ever made, it would be perhaps to him awkward? Was he trying to find something to say to her or would he be too preoccupied keeping her safe? The young woman's gaze was on the scenery not only to enjoy the view but memorize the path. One day she may make this travel on her own. Every so often her eyes would find themselves looking at him for short period of time before moving onto nature again. During one of these times she picked up on something, his shoulder and arm were moving a bit off from the rest of his body. Looking up at him she would softly speak up. "Hokage-sama is your arm bothering you?" She couldn't tell exactly what was wrong just by looking at it, but she figured it was probably strained at the least from training or missions the male had been taking.

XXXXX Ibara followed in silence for a while. He was busy watching around them he would look down at Rin from time to time and catch he glancing at him. The silence didn't really bother him much. He wasn't exactly sure what to say to the girl but when she spoke, although softly, it startled him slightly. "My arm? Oh yeah. Just a little bit." He offered a wan smile. "I hurt it learning a new technique. Quite dangerous one it was and I must use it sparingly or I could permanently damage my arm." He raised his unhurt left hand to the back of his head scratching at it for a second before dropping it and continuing to walk slightly behind the woman his gaze fixed on her for the moment he found it a little hard not to stare at times.

So she was right, his arm was damaged. "If I may," Rin said towards the man as she slowly reached for his injuries. She wasn't gonna force herself on him if he didn't want to be healed, some people liked to heal on their own, naturally. The female moved slowly for another reason, give him some notice of her colder aura so it wouldn't be as much of a shock. However he probably knew what to expect having been treated by her before. Hands on his arm she slowly and carefully probed it to avoid causing any unnecessary pain. The wound wasn't that bad but as he said if he kept stressing his arm he'd end up tearing the muscle. "Quite over did yourself didn't you?"
As she waited for him to respond, if he did for it was somewhat of a rhetorical question, she concentrated chakra into her hands. Her movements began to slightly massage key areas while embedding her chakra into the movements, focusing merely on the area around the injury, slowly easing the pain and the stress in it. Probably would not cure it completely but it would be enough to ease the pain and speed the healing process. Taking her hands away she looked up at the taller male. "Is that better?"

XXXXX The hokage listened as the girl spoke, he figured what she had said didn't exactly require an answer, it was pretty obvious he had. The hokage winced slightly at the cold and pain as she began massaging his extremely sore arm. Biting his lip as she continued before realizing that the cold helped as much as the massaging had. When Rin asked her second question he blushed slightly and nodded. "It feels much better. He flexed his fingers noting not much pain in his arm. He leaned forward and whispered in her ear. "Thank you." He stood up straight and placed his hands in his pockets. He had kept his eyes on her for too long and blushed even deeper "Sorry, we can continue now." Her hands stopped falling to her side, staying near her chest, as he whispered a thank you in her ear. The touch of his warm breathe on her cold skin made a chill run through her spine as a blush actually came to her face. Her eyes avoided any contact, pretending to look at their surroundings instead, though not before seeing his own blush on his face. The Hokage was blushing!? Was that even possible? Well... he was still human, just because he had a high status didn't make him incapable of normal things. She barely missed his apology and call to move onward, lost in her thoughts the way she was. "Oh!..." she lightly shook her head getting herself to focus again. "Why the apology?" Rin questioned as she followed again. Deep down she was cursing the fact he was probably acting off because of her bloodline. It made it so hard to really know if someone really met it or if it was just an attraction. The hokage falling for it would make things awkward, all she could do was pray he wasn't and avoid giving any undesired "hints" of some sort.

Entering familiar territory she let out a long breath. She hadn't even realized she had been holding it. You couldn't let yourself be taken in by the scenery in Konoha. It was only that. Something pretty to look at. It pulled you in a sucked the life out of you. Stretching out her arms she continued her trek back to the place she wanted to be at the least.
The trees were getting quite thick on either side of the road now. In the past, it had been difficult to appreciate just how high the foliage density in the Fire Country was, but now that Bast could go at a slightly more leisurely pace, she could enjoy the view. As she headed to the Gates of Konoha, she couldn't help but think that just taking a whole bunch of trees would be easy, and that they probably wouldn't even be missed.

It had been a while since the woman last came through this area, but it almost felt deserted, as though she could still see her footprints in the dirt of the road ahead of her. What was worse was the idea that there were no other footprints to accompany them, bringing back memories of Saraswati after the tsunami. Then she passed a couple of pedestrians and breathed a sigh of relief as she headed on toward Konoha.

As Bast made her way down the road, she had Mononoke transcribe a note to the Kazekage detailing the deal just offered by Masahiro and the information gained from him. It read, in highly regular calligraphy that looked stenciled:
"Konoha was unaware of caravan attacks in their borders. Caution advised for those traveling abroad. Heading to Takumi now. Additionally: Masahiro, the Hokage, would like to regain access to an orichalcum vein inside the Wind Country for research purposes. He's offering ships and their cargo currently located in Saraswati, plus the results of his research. If the ships are located and seized, please relocate any wood aboard to my residence, as it is mine per a personal trade agreement between myself and Konoha."
Before sending the note away, Bast came to a halt and scribbled a copy of the summoning seal that led to the Hokage's Office at the bottom of the page, with a footnote stating that responses to the Hokage's deal could be sent there. Then, she folded up the letter and Reverse Summoned it to the Kazekage's Office for Ayame to read there.
Keeping a steady pace and trudging through the snow that had accumulated near the ends of the forest, the Hokage kept a watchful eye on his students. Two were relatively lightly trained, in comparison to the newest arrival. Though, he didn't give it too much of a thought or worry. He saw the new arrival take the vanguard position and he looked to Hozuki and Klaus. They were the middle body of the group. Alone they could handle bandits, and maybe some more experienced foes, but for now he let them march ahead a little, himself stepping back a few paces to take up the rear guard position.
"It's a simple journey, shouldn't be much more than a day on the road."

Klaus would notice Hozuki scoot closer to him, but say nothing before he left the gates. On the way through the snowy forests, Klaus would refrain from speaking as he was not much the social type. Instead, he would think of new ways to apply his chakra. [1/3]

Swinging it around like a sword was one was he could use it, but it felt light, yet somewhat solid. Feeling there was another use for this jutsu, he unsheathed his scimitars, and connected the ends of the grips together. A small click would sound as he pumped chakra into the two blades, and they would be stuck together. A chakra string would then form from the tip of one blade to the other, and he would fire the lightning at a tree to their left as they passed it by. As she lead the small group her golden eyes never settled on a single. Moving from object to object she danced through the trees ahead of the others. Should anything even try to attack them she would beat them down with her fists before they touched the others.
