Gabe laughed with him. Her chuckles dieing after a short while. She put her arms behind her and leaned back. "Poor Melody..doesn't like the water" She was talking to herself. Gabe took a deep breath and closed her eyes soaking in the sun. It felt nice on her skin...
Remembering the first time she came to the cabin she smiled. Daryn's dad had talked her into pushing him off the ock and into the water. The thought made her smile and she looked over at him thinking.

Daryn was blissfully unaware of Gabe's thoughts as he soaked up the sun. Peering into the water, he watched as the water's current shifted the sand into tiny waves. He sat and stared at it intently, leaning down closer to the surface.
"It's amazing how clear the water is."
He half muttered.

Gabe smiled nodding. "Yeah it is.." she scooted closer to him, not making a sound. Her heart stopped as she reache d out towards him slowley. "It's a shame that-" she stopped thinking he was going to look. So she took her chance.
Without hesitating she pushed him in the water making a splash. laughing. It's exactly how she got him the last time.

Daryn was suddenly shoved from the dock and went plunging into the still chilly water. Popping out of the water, he spluttered in surprise. Princess was laughing at him and he suddenly had a case of deja vu. She'd gotten him like that before! Placing his hands on the side of the dock he said.
"Ok that's it. You're so dead!"
He leapt from the water and before she could escape, picked her up and threw her over his shoulder.
"Any last words?"
He asked with a malicious laugh and stood with one foot poised over the water.

Gabe squealed. She had forgotten how strong he was. She quickly tried to squirm, but gave up. "Not the dress..i payed to much.." she was tryig to get out of his arms.

Darren simply smirked and tightened his hold on her.
"Don't worry Princess, it'll dry!"
He yelled as he leapt into the water. The added weight caused his feet to sink into the sand but he let her go and kicked free, bobbing to the surface. He was laughing.
"There see, that's not so bad. Is it?"
He said and lifted one strand of soaked, fire red hair from across her face.

"It's f-freezing!" she laughed. She honestly didn't care about the dress. Her frame was shaking from the water and adrenaline rush. But the dress being wet wasn't kind. It added wight. She kenw she should take it off....
Gabe caught her breath and started for the doc. She was still chuckling. "I look like the dead cat now." Her fiery hair was soaked and it was long as ever. It stuck to her skin as she tried to wade . She was shorter then him and didn't touch the floor as easy.

Daryn treaded water and laughed at her remark.
"No way, you're much prettier than a dead cat."
He grinned but as soon as she exited the water he was left speechless. The soggy dress clung to her curves and her hair was a dark red from the water. He gulped and felt his cheeks flush but before she could turn around and notice, he took a deep breath and plunged underwater.
He needed to get ahold of himself. He'd promised her that there would be no funny business. He groaned inwardly. Reality sucked.

Gabe anchoreed herself onto the dock and plopped down on her but. She inhaled slowley and chuckled. The dress was heavyand cold on her now. She struggled a little but pulled it off. She didn't really care now what he thought of her in a two piece. Her hair covered enough of her when it was wet. She got up ad hung the dress o the back of a patio chair. Looking over to the water then down to her dress she realized her engagment ring was missing.
Gabe started to panic then took a breath. She took it off last night. SHe had been so fustrated...she ran a hand through her hair to get it out of her face. Thats when she noticed Daryn was gone..'must be under water..' she thought.

After a short time, Daryn resurfaced and looked over to see Gabriella had taken her dress off. He almost smacked his hand to his forehead but refrained. Right before he said something he noticed her ring was gone. He thought for a moment longer and decided that if it was missing, it could stay lost.
"The water isn't so bad when you get used to it."
He said with a big smile. He looked slightly ridiculous with his dark hair plastered to his face as it was and he shook his head, causing the ends to stick out in soggy, droopy spikes. He frowned. Better than nothing.

Gabe turned to look at him and laughed. He looked like one of those troll dolls. his hair was really funny looking. She tried to keep a straight face but couldn't. "I bet it is.." She pulled her hair back and jumped off the dock and into the water. It was still cold to her..
Resurfacing she chuckled and smoothed her hair back. Without thinking twice she smoothed his hair out too. "You look like a troll doll " she smiled.

He frowned indignantly.
"Well at least I don't look like I'm from a Disney Movie Ariel."
He countered and was trying to keep up his annoyance but a smile tugged at his lips. He then noticed goosebumps on her arms.
"Are you still cold?"
He asked, a cute expression of concern appearing on his face.

Gabe snickered. "A little. At least I"m a mermaid and not a troll" she replied. SHe pulled her hands away from his hair and rubbed her arms. "I'll get used to it" she smiled.
Daryn was always the one with the corky and cute expressions. She remembered the one time he suckered his dad into letting them have the whole tub of ice cream when they were litle.

Daryn looked off to the side with a scowl and muttered.
"..not a troll.."
He said then sighed.
"Anyway Princess Ariel, what shall we do now? It's too early for lunch, your lips are going to turn blue any moment and I need an adventure!"
He made a fist and punched the air. He was happy go lucky on the outside, but really, he just wanted to sit inside, watch a movie and sulk. But he knew sulking would be a waste of time. Daryn would have loved to punch his best friends perfectly lovely fiance. Then he could truly be happy for the time being.

Gabe looked him in the eye as she backed up. "You know I know you better than that.." she turned and swam towards the dock and pulled herself up on the dock. She sat on the edge and watched him for a moment, before shivering. "Wanna watch a movie?"
She remembered how they always used to do that. Plus it looked like rain... "i'll let you pick the movie..." she started to stand up
