With each swing of the paddle, Jace could feel the blood dripping down his back. After the second swing already, Jace's knees started to give way. By the fifth swing the boy was struggling to stand. The seventh swing started to blur his vision, and the ninth nearly made the boy lose consciousness entirely. When it was all over, Jace's limp body fell to the floor, blood flowing down his back in little streams and staining his white hair. He could also feel some overflowing from his lip. The boy was so out of it that he didn't even hear Xion leave. Nor did he hear anything that the man had said. All he heard was his breathing and the sound of his heart desperately trying to keep him conscious.

Xion got into his car and drove back to work. 'Knowing him..he probably won't be able to stand..' Xion thought, the sight of the bo laying on the floor, losing consciousness in his mind. He sighed softly and just closed his eyes until he was told by the driver he was back at work. 'How troublesome..'
After the sun had set, Xion got into his car and left work. The ride was a blur and all Xion remembered was the rishing trees that went by. When he reached home. He got out of the car and walked up to the door and looked for his keys to unlock it.

Jace had just finished placing dinner on the table when he heard something at the door. Xion was probably home by now since it was just around that time. And because he didn't hear the man when he left, Jace made something completely different from the leftovers. He would save those for himself later on.
But the boy, even though he could barely walk, somehow made it to the front door when the man walked in. Because he was unable to actually button his shirt, or get it on for that matter, he was wearing a plain white t-shirt that was about two sizes too big. It was hanging off his shoulders, but the boy didn't mind. If Xion had seen him shirtless, then exposed shoulders shouldn't be too bad. Unless the man was in a peeved mood that day.

Xion placed his coat jacket in the hallway before he heard footsteps. He turned his head to see Jace with a big T-shirt on and jeans. He arched an eyebrow slightly before to look into the boy's eyes with his usual cold, neutral expression. "I'm surprised to see you can walk.." He said before brushing past him and heading to the dining room. "Is dinner ready?"

Jace bowed his head slightly when Xion walked through the door. The man hadn't really expected much out of him, almost as if Xion thought that Jace was weak. Or the man thought that he had used the paddle so wickedly hard that Jace wouldn't be able to stand no matter how strong he was. "I'm surprised as well..." He whispered quietly as the man passed him and headed toward the dining room. "Dinner is served, Master." He replied as he slowly made his way to the dining room using the wall as support the entire way there.

"....." That was his response to the dinner in front of him. It was not the leftovers he asked for but somthing different entirely. Apparantly, the boy did not hear him when he was talking and Xion just sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose briefly. He said nothing as he sat down at the table and began to eat the food Jace had prepared without any comments or ridicules.

Jace immediately caught the look that Xion was giving the table, and Jace could almost figure out why. He was definitely angry about something, the way he pinched his nose indicated that he was trying to get rid of a migraine. And he only got those when he was upset. "Did I do something wrong...?" Jace whispered quietly from his usual standing position next to the man. He stayed just far enough so that he wouldn't get smacked by a flying arm, but close enough so that Xion could hear him.

Xion looked up from his food and stared at the boy who had asked him a qustion. But now, he was wondering if the man should play around with it or just give him an honest answer....Hmmmm....Decisions...Decisions.
"Would you like a list? Or just the one thing you have done right now?" He asked as he took a sip of his water. Okay, so a little bit of the playful side..But he was being serious. To an extent anyway.

Jace's eyes widened slightly. Oh yeah, he had screwed up big time. What else would make Xion say something so sarcastic? The man only used sarcasm when something was true.
"Right now?" Jace whispered quietly. He didn't want a list. That would have crushed what little self-esteem the boy did have and send him running out of the house screaming bloody murder.

"Very well. I asked you to warm the leftovers in the fridge before I left this afternoon. Instead of that, you give me a new meal. Though it was good, it was not what I asked for. I think we may have to get those ears of yours checked, they seem to be going a bit of the death side if you can't seem to hear a simple order." All of this was said in a casual manner, like the man was having a nice conversation with his a friend; though that did not go well with the chilling smile he gave to Jace as he explained what the boy did wrong as of right now.

"Ahh..." Jace murmured, his eyes widening with surprise. "I didnʻt seem to understand you... I had trouble keeping conscious after you left... I-Iʻm sorry..." He stammered quietly, taking a step back from the table. It was hard for him to believe that he hadnʻt heart that order, but it was with good reason. How did one expect somebody who was beaten to unconsciousness to hear something that he had said right after?

"It doesn't matter now.." Xion said as he got up from the table. "What done is done. At least the food was good but I do not expect this to be a habit boy." He pushed his seat into the table then looked at him for a moment then turned. "Get my pajamas on my bed. I'm going to take a shower. After that order, he left the dining room and headedfor his room for a nice long shower. He may even wash his hair; he felt very sticky. It must have been being in the sun as he was directing some movers with the new drilling tools. So washing his long hair was a must.

Jace nodded quietly before moving as fast as he could, which was pretty slow, to clear the table. Then he slowly made his way to the bedroom and lay the manʻs clothes out for him. Once he was done he sat down on the ground and leaned up against one of the many dresserʻs in the manʻs room. He was tired and his body was literally broken. There was a private hot spring somewhere down the street a ways. Perhaps Jace could go there to relax for a little bit before going to bed?

Xion got out of the shower and sighed intently. He dried his body off then wrapped a towel around his waist and headed out of the bathroom. He looked at his bed to see his nice, red pajamas then looked at the wall that Jace was laying his back against. "....If you plan to watch me dress, I suggest you leave..Go to bed boy.."

Jace turned slightly before nodding and standing up. "My apologies," he murmured quietly. Then he slowly trudged out of the room and walked toward his own. But once he got inside he simply slipped out the window and began to walk down the street, as difficult as it was. The hot spring wasnʻt too far... heʻd make it, right?
