"You look tired. Get some rest." Dustynn whispered into Shirai's ear, walking away from the young boy. He silently closed the door to his room behind him, making his way slowly to the shower. Marissa was waiting outside, as if expecting him to be there. "How did you know?" Dustynn asked her.
"Lucky guess? You're not the type of guy to fall asleep covered in blood." Marissa smirked.
"I guess. Especially not the blood of this man." Dustynn hissed, taking off his jacket and shirt in the hallway. "I'm not sure if I should burn this or not." He sighed, tossing the blood soaked clothes in the wash basin to soak.
"Don't. They're nice." Marissa tried to soothe him.
"Were nice. Now they're covered in blood." Dustynn murmured.

Olan nodded and when Dustynn left the room, he laid down on the bed and closed his eyes. However, he couldn't sleep at all. It seemed that something wasn't letting him. His head began hurting and he was sure that he had been thinking too much, but he just couldn't empty his mind.
He tossed and turned in hopes of getting into a more comfortable sleeping position, but nothing made a difference. He tried to hum a lullaby to himself, but whatever song he hummed morphed into an ugly and gloomy tune. He couldn't really read, since he didn't see any nearby books. Now what? All he could do was lie down and just wait for his mind to empty itself out.

After burning his clothes in the fireplace on the ground floor, Dustynn was silently making his trek back upstairs. Lorin and Kaisin were silently playing cards and everyone else was in the living room. Except Marissa, who always slept for a full ten hours each day.
Dustynn grabbed his violin from the closet next to the washing machine, and climbed up onto the roof silently. Thinking of a song to play wasn't the hard part, it was trying to get his fingers to pull the bow across the strings. Arioso had been his mother's favorite song, and after tonight, he just couldn't bring himself to play it. But he finally did, the familiar melody floating out from the instrument and into the night.

Olan heard a beautiful melody from an instrument that sounded most like a violin. His racing mind soon calmed and the constant thoughts were put to rest. His tensed muscles relaxed and pretty soon he could hear the music fading away.
He felt ghostly arms wrapping around him, and a hand was running itself through his hair. Opening his eyes just slightly, Olan could see two familiar figures smiling at him. Before he could identify who they were, his eyes were closed by the hand of one of the figures and he lost himself to sleep.

Dustynn slowed his playing until he couldn't bring himself to pull the bow across the strings anymore. Silent tears were rolling down his face, but he made no move to wipe them away. He thought of another song, his sister's favorite song, and began to play it instead. It was more of an upbeat song, and was easier to play.
A ghostly mist surrounded the boy's feet, but Dustynn didn't notice. His eyes were closed, and his mind was elsewhere, thinking of the beautiful melody and of the notes that were being played.

Olan woke up a little while later, he wasn't sure how long it has been since he slept, but it probably wasn't for hours and hours. The moon was still up, giving off a silver ray that shined through the windows. He began to think of a song that Somu would sing to him when he had trouble sleeping. What was it again?
He heard a quiet voice behind him, and ghostly hands carressed his face. It was Somuka, humming that familiar song. Memory, was it? They had always loved watching that Cats movie and Memory was their favorite song, but Somu was the only one who could memorize it word by word. Her singing could make anyone fall peacefully asleep.

The sound of the violin stopped abruptly with a sickening 'twang' of the strings being pulled hard against the strings. The violin fell to the ground with a sickening thud, shattering the neck in two. The bow fell down the side of the building, finally breaking in half as it hit the ground.
The gentle wind blew Dustynn's soft hair gently into his eyes, but the boy didn't notice. His face was staring at the ground, his eyes shaking back and forth in fear, although his body didn't follow. He was hallucinating, it was happening more and more frequently and this is what happened.
"Stop... can't you please understand?" A young boy screamed up at his father. The baseball bat came down again on the young boy's leg, shattering the bone upon impact. The boy screamed out, but his father laughed. "You killed them. This is your punishment." His father laughed, bringing the bat down again on the boy's leg as another scream pierced the night.

There was a series of sickening sounds outside the room, and Olan shot out from the bed and left the room, ignoring the blood on the ground. What if something had happened to Dustynn? What if an intruder came in and attacked? Once finding the gang leader Olan saw him in a fearful state, as if he was having a flashback.
A violin was split in half on the ground and bits of wood scattered around the floor. The atmosphere of the place suddenly turned dark and he didn't know what to do. What can he do to calm the gang leader from whatever panic he was going through?!

The black eyes blinked once, the shaking irises ceasing. The mop of purple hair finally lifted and turned toward the presence by the door to the roof. A cold wind whipped across the almost desolated rooftop, causing Dustynn's eyes to sting slightly. But he didn't blink anymore. He silently kicked the violin off of the roof, but then sank to his knees. He couldn't support his weight anymore. It was as if his leg really were broken.
He wanted desperately to call out for Olan, to ask him to help him get back to their room, but he couldn't. His throat was closed, and he couldn't make a sound. He also didn't want Olan to think that he was weak and needed support or help. He was a gang leader, a leader of full-grown men the likes of Lorin's size and attitude. He wasn't going to let any rumor spread at the gang leader of the sector Q gang needed help from the "Cursed Olan Fluffsworth" from the twin towers incident. Hell no.

Olan hid somewhere so that Dustynn wouldn't notice him. He seemed very upset and pained, but that didn't make Olan leave his hiding spot to go help. He was sure that the gang leader wouldn't want his help after all, but he could still worry.
Somuka, now a butterfly again, flew over to where Dustynn was, hopefully unseen. Though Olan couldn't see her, he was sure that she had landed some place where she could get a closer examination. She would probably let him know if there was anything especially wrong with the gang leader. He was most likely affected by a flashback that was probably about the older Loch's abuse, and that gave Olan an acceptable reason to worry.

Dustynn noticed the butterfly flying near him, but he was too engulfed in his own problems to reach up and squish the annoying insect once and for all. How could Olan be related to that butterfly anyway?
The gang leader slowly rose to his feet, and the pain beginning to disappear. He still wasn't sure if walking was such a good idea at the moment, but he tried anyway, making sure that he walked slowly with as much grace as he could so that Olan wouldn't even court the thought of coming over to help him.

Olan watched as Dustynn rose from his spot with a kind of rocky grace. His worry began to melt away. Apparently the gang leader didn't need his help after all. His worried look was then replaced with a relieved smile.
Somuka flew back to him and landed once more on his shoulder. From how calm she currently was, Olan's guesses were confirmed. The gang leader didn't need any help. There was no need to worry anymore at the moment. Quietly, Olan snuck back to where he had entered the roof and left Dustynn on the roof.

The gang leader slid down the ladder, landing softly on the ground to retrieve the now broken bow. It was a shame, since this was his sister's instrument. But, he couldn't help it. He could only pray that his sister would understand.
The door to the living room burst open, causing many heads to turn. However, Dustynn wasn't up for any of Lorin's retorts, so he literally ran upstairs as soon as he closed the door. His shirt had a tear down the side, since he had been reckless enough to slide down the metal ladder. He slowly made his way to his room after he had cleared the stairs, silently walking in and closing the door behind him.

Olan had made it back to the room as quickly as he could, crawling back into the bed and pretending he was asleep. Somuka stayed on the desk beside him, humming the lullaby so that he may actually go to sleep.
The doors suddenly opened as Dustynn entered the room and Olan watched with his eyelids only letting in a slit of light. He didn't bother to sit up as if he just woke up, but rather he stayed where he was and tried to look as peaceful as if he was sleeping. He saw a tear on Dustynn's shirt, but he shrugged it off and ignored it. He didn't want the gang leader to know that he had been on the roof watching him and trying to make sure he was okay.

Dustynn walked over to Olan and sat down on the bed. He didn't say anything for a very, very long time; what almost seemed like forever. He knew that the boy wasn't asleep, he could hear his breathing a little bit too clearly. Plus, it was faster than that of a sleeping person.
"I know you are awake, there's no use hiding it." Dustry murmured quietly, looking straight at Somuka. "I also know that you were on the roof." He added quietly, looking down to see the boy's reaction.
