The Annoying Marine Noob...

Now just to recap, I don't hate Marines themselves, I own a Space Wolves army after all! But I do hate players who think that because they play marines, they should automatically win.

This and the following couple of comics are based out of a gaming event Justin and I went to where we witnessed some of the worst displays of gaming spirit imaginable.

Note: If you don't get this comic, try imagining the following: A poor sport in gaming who gets upset every time something doesn't go his way, groans when his opponent rolls when, curses when he rolls bad, rolls his dice to 'un-intenionally' knock over your well painted miniatures, change rules mid game... etc etc.

Now imagine a 4 year old having a temper tantrum for not getting a lollipop.

The difference? One of them will grow up.

Yer comics are funny, no need to explain the punchline for every one of them. However, if extra explanation is needed then you might be presenting the joke in a vague or poor way, so that might be something to look at for future instalments.

Oh Kaori you're hilarious. Allow me to elaborate on why I explain the comics.

The comics are based on actual things that happen during games with friends and while I'm confident that many of the comics can stand alone no problem, I share the story because it's part of what the 40k hobby is all about: Interaction with fellow gamers.

A reason why I will not stop posting the stories: On DeviantArt where the comics are viewed in far greater number, many fellow gamers enjoy sharing their gaming experiences and discussing various things about the hobby with topics that were brought up in one way or another by the comics. Since I really enjoy being able to connect with my readers like that, I continue to share that extra blurb at the bottom of the comics. biggrin

You know, I normally have something to say about the comics... thoughts behind it... battles that inpired it or some such thing but this comic? Nope, I can't remember what spawned it. All I know is, I have NEVER been able to take the Emperor's Children / Slaanesh seriously and I'm not about to start. blaugh
