I heard that Avril Lavigne is being told she ripped off a band's song with "Girlfriend?" Is this true or just a publicity stunt? I'm not real sure what to believe anymore. I mean, bands and artists should come upfront and admit they did sing someone else's song and not just scam them....

I think it's just a coincidence. I mean, have you heard the other song? I listened to it.
They're saying she copied her part that says, "Hey, hey! You, you! I don't like your girlfriend!" or whatever from their, "Hey (hey), you (you), I wanna be your boyfriend."
The songs aren't even about the same thing at all. It's totally just a coincidence. =/
