Myspace Smashing Pumpkins Tribute

On May 14, twelve bands will be posting a tributing song to the Smashing Pumpkins. Each band has chosen one song to cover to contribute to the project. The songs will then be collected onto a CD, which will be included in newsstand editions of July's Spin magazine. The issue will feature each of the bands talking about the Pumpkins' influence on them. And guess what? Are very own Panic! At The Disco is a part of the project! The songs list as followed...

Panic! at the Disco: "Tonight, Tonight"

The Academy Is ... : "Mayonaise"
Deftones: "Siva"
30 Seconds to Mars: (track TBD)
The Bravery: "Rocket"
Young Love: "1979"
The New Amsterdams: "Thirty-Three"
Test Your Reflex: "Ava Adore"
Ben Kweller: "Today"
Hawthorne Heights: "Bullet With Butterfly Wings"
Gliss: "Rhinoceros"
The Most Dangerous Race: "Signal to Noise" (not confirmed to be on the CD)

Please note that 30 Seconds to Mars haven't announced their song yet,
and I know of no Smashing Pumpkins song called "track TBD."

What do you think of the Smashing Pumpkins?
What're your thoughts on the tribute?

Actually.. I don't like Smashing Pumpkins.
I think the vocalist dude sounds scratchy all the time and his voice just.. ew. o_o
And he always sounds sick.
Well, that's just my opinion.

But the cover songs from Panic! were good.
But I don't like the originals. XD;

Their covers are always better than the originals. xD It's kind of funny. <3 I think they are very inspiring, though. Some of those music videos are OUT THERE.

I've never heard a good recording of their cover of Eleanor Rigby. Like, I heard the song in concert and stuff, but it's hard to focus when theres someone elbowing you in the boob, and someone else pushing you into the 300 pound guy in front of you. xD So...like...I don't have a judgment on that cover.

I heard it on a layout site once.. but other than that, I haven't heard it since.

I've only ever heard the Eleanor Rigby cover on youtube, and it was really crappy quality...
