Banner Discussion (Contest?)

Hey everyone! The guild is in need of at least one nice-looking banner, preferably more than one. In this thread, let's cover these things:

- Making banners
- Submitting artwork of your own to be used in banners
- Possibly having a banner contest with a little prize?
- Anything else related to banners
- Anything else related to making the guild look prettier

As far as the artwork being used for banners goes, feel free to dig up anything in my DA to use, if you guys want to. Just try not to go too far back to the craptastic work I had several years ago, please. xd ;

Umm... I'd donate for a banner prize too it can be gold or maybe donates, whichever rofl

What size do we need?

I'm guessing we can use a banner for the guild's front page, and a small banner for people to put in their sig?

Yeah, that would be great. whee We're looking for three kinds of banners:

- A nice, larger banner for the guild homepage
- Signature-sized banners
- A 200x40 banner for the guild registry

Any theme for the banner?

I'd be up for a shot at this, whats the average size for signature banners?

Themes? Hmm... just as long as it conveys that this is an artistic guild, I'm sure it'll be fine. Maybe some collages of art or redlines or something?

Signature banners can be anywhere from 200x40 to about 500x200, although we should probably keep them on the smaller side so people won't have to put huge obnoxious banners in their signatures if they want to advertise the guild.

I'd also encourage mentors to have personalized banners to link to their mentor threads, if they want.

and I was going to do something similar if I did rofl like do a sketch..redline.. and completion etc.

I like the idea of specific mentors banners too, that'd be neat.
