Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

Since I didn't see a topic on it yet I thought I'd start one. ^.^

Our family just goes to a friends house on New Years Eve where we make dumplings and stuff. Then we stay there till 12:00. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! cool

Oh now that sounds like fun!
My family doesn't do much on the day, but when we go to SF for the annual parade we stock up on foods, stop by our favourite dim sum house, enjoy the craft fair, buy traditional outfits for picture taking. It's very enjoyable! ^.^

We have a part on new years eve and than we call our relatives and than on new year we go to watch the dragon/lion dance and than I get moola (money)

No really. xD

Well my family cleans the whole house before the new years and replace a few old things with some new stuff. >.<
After that in the morning of new years were not aloud to eat meat. =
After that we do a little Lion Dancing and freeze our butts in the cold with my cousins in China Town.
Then we go tot the temple and pray and eat some rice with veggies and thats about it.
The next day is when we all gather with the cousins and thats about it.

usually for me and my friends we go to carl's jr and eat a big wopper after watching teh parade in SF lol its been our tradition for about 3 years.. so i cant wait until our next 3nodding (chinese new year parade in SF is on March 3 so you all sould come!)

My family and I usually visit relatives' homes, eat together and just enjoy ourselves. =)

Since my parent doesn't live here, so we go to my older sister's house and have dinner there, after dinner we usually play cards until late.
