Gharbad I think it would flop just because of this: Mr. Worf, fire at will! *crazy amounts of torpedoes and phasers* Mr. Tuvok, fire at will! *fires one torpedo* No effect, Captain. they could be a science or medical vessial.

conseption_rebelry I belive we should have a show with an all Vulcan crew, a nonvulcan and two members of the crew being V'tosh ka'tur could be a point of conflict. good idea!
Steel Sterling What may make for a good or great ship may make for lousy television. I think a Vulcan science vessel is a GREAT idea. I think a SHOW about a Vulcan science vessel would have limited appeal. First of all, it would be "accessible" to a limited audience. That is, Trekkies would dig it, but the average person would not. Second of all, one of the things that makes for an interesting story is CONFLICT. That's why one rule is that the hero ends up where he DOESNT want to be. And entire crew of logical beings has little conflict- and that only where they're not so logical. So you'd have to undermine the premise after a while to make it interesting. Vulcans are most interesting when they are SUPPORTING characters, and throw the MAIN characters into sharp relief. That's why individual Vulcans can be interesting, but lots of them are only in the background-like playing that baseball game, or the like. This is a little like how my idea for a ship works fine for a ship, but if they tried to develop a series around a survey ship, you'd fall asleep watching it.
boo.

Mitra conseption_rebelry I belive we should have a show with an all Vulcan crew, a nonvulcan and two members of the crew being V'tosh ka'tur could be a point of conflict. I'll agree to that! Most likely a human as the non-vulcan member, I'd think, to make it interesting. The human ships have Vulcan science officers and what not, and in a show of good faith I think that officer exchanges would have happened a lot in the begining. A way for both sides to study the other, learn how to cooperate and become friends with their allies. And with the added V'tosh ka'tur, it would show to the human crew member that Vulcans were essentially as varied as the human race, giving them a more comfortable setting and outlook. So far, I like this idea alot! Holly Wood Producers, take note! xd I want to make it a fan series. hollywood would ruin it. I want to play the Capitan and make her anti-human.
Anyone wanna claim a part?
