cool. Any reason, though? or you were just wanting a list, and no specific reasons as to why any specific ship seems to be better than another?

The Luna Class Starship is cool. They come from the ST Titan Series. It was a fan design that won a contest. It is in the spirit of the Sovereign Class with warp nacells below the saucer section. Its on-line somewhere. The pocketbook site posted the results of the winner. It night still have it on the winner results website.

The books were pretty good too.

The nova class starships look pretty cool. There are more that I like but this is only one of them.

Depends on what for.

For blowing holes into things, the Defiant class is tops.

For utility, I think the Nova class is the most useful for its design.

For "go anywhere, do anything", the ancient Miranda class is STILL
getting regular use. Gotta admire that kind of durability.
The Excelsiors have a similar strength.

A number of ships- like the Steamrunner and the New Orleans-
are useful for what they are.
For that matter, the Danube-class runabout seems to be about the most
amazingly-successful small-ship design in the history of the Federation,
unless you need a warship. (Then it's a Defiant for you, young man...)

I have to say that the Galaxy-class is still my favorite. Not just that I grew up watching The Next Generation, but because the Galaxy-class has absolutely everything you need on a starship, everything you could ever want. Galaxy-classes have a great balance of weaponry and scientific/exploration equipment.

I am also a big fan of the Sovereign-class.

Sovereign class is classic, but quite blocky. For sheer grace, I go for Galaxy class.

!?!?!?!? What?!? I would say that the Galaxy class is far more blocky than the Soveriegn which is much sleeker with a pleasing ovular shaped saucer section as opposed to the bulky massive circular saucer of the Galaxy class and the nacelles of the Sovereign are long thin and sleek as opposed to the galaxy's short fat and (if I may say so) blocky nacelles!

My apologies but I just think that the Sovereign is infinetly superior to the galaxy in every way.

Oh? Even in regards to long term-missions, and Scientific exploration?
