I read that the reason Matt got kicked out was because he was fighting with Ray(something about refusing to play a click track) and Gerard was quoted saying,"It was either Matt goes or Ray goes. We had to drop him".
I think that i'd rather have matt leave anyway,he creeps me out, and Ray is so cool, but does anyone know why they kicked matt out?or have an idea?because matt co-founded the band and everything...

rikaLeshay I read that the reason Matt got kicked out was because he was fighting with Ray(something about refusing to play a click track) and it seems like the other band members had some problems with him too but Gerard was quoted saying,"It was either Matt goes or Ray goes. We had to drop him". I think that i'd rather have matt leave anyway,he creeps me out, and Ray is so cool, but does anyone know why they kicked matt out?or have an idea? Well, like they said, Ray and Matt couldn't get along. You just absoloutely can't have two people who don't get along in a band, nothing will go right. It was either they were going to drop Ray, their lead guitarist and possibly the next Jimi Hendrix, or Matt, their drummer.
And of course they would drop Matt over Ray. whee

Yeah it was kinda that reason. Also they weren't happy with his playing anymore. Ray and Rob? Schechter went over to his house and told him he's fired. Ray and him talked alone and basicly after that Matt has no attentions to by friends again with any member from MCR. Sad yes.....but Bob kicks sooooooo much more a**! Who agrees?

Come dance with the sugar plum fairies. They said that Matt was messing up and didn't like how he played.

Yeah, Matt wasn't a very... um... reliable drummer, I guess you could say. They didn't know if he would play well or screw up, and they couldn't keep on worrying about that.

Matt ('Otter') was also unknowingly encouraging Gerard's drug and alcohol abuse. He said Matt had to go, otherwise he'd die.

All of those reasons, no one really got along when he was around...
And I also heard he was the one who burnt down their white van, but I think that's just a rumour though ...

I heard Matt would mess up or stop in the middle of a song. I saw a video in practice that Ray was recording and Matt screwed up and they had to stop because he stopped playing. Ray rules and if they kept Matt we wouldn't have My Chemical Romance/Black Parade or even Bob.
