There is a thread called "pale skin" in this forum [[link]]; you should read through it. It has some comments and links that would help you with your question.

I've used lemon juice on my own skin (to get rid of light tanning caused by a couple of sunburns), but I didn't notice any effect at all. The tan did fade, but no faster than it would have normally. Some of my friends have had similar experiences, and I'm not sure lemon juice does anything at all.

i know a girl that got lemon juice on her skin accidentaly...and when she went out in the sun she got a little sun burnt and the spots with lemon jucie turned purple... so i would say forget it, i would rather be tan than purple

Purple would be kind of fun, except you'd have to bathe yourself in lemon juice, and run outside naked, and it probably wouldn't be the healthiest thing anyway.

Lemon juice to become pale? XD
Never heard of that one before.

I'm super-pale anyway, (courtesy to a million bloodtests the doctors give me to see why I'm pale, only resulting in less blood and making me paler for a while anyway.) but if I wanted a more white sheen to my skin, I slap on the baby powder. It smells nice, and is hyperallegenic/skin friendly. If its good enough for a 2 month old kid, its good enough for me.

Downside: If you wear a lot of black, and you put on a lot, it might rub off and become gray smears. I'd use it only on my face.

This probably fits more into 'make-up' than actual long-term paleing effects. But if you ask me, love the skin you're in! And if you're super-desperate, become a vegan! Low iron = pale complexion.

Try loving the skin you're in.

Changing your skin if that's not what you're really unhappy about isn't going to fix anything.

So lemon juice is acidic. Acids corrode stuff, right? That doesn't sound to good for skin. I don't think It'll change the color of your skin. But who knows for sure? Not me. I've never tried it. But still, I'd advise against it.

There are some vegetables and vegan foods that have a lot of iron. But under most cases, if you completely (intentionally) drop all the iron in your diet, you'll get a bit paler. However, you'll get sick alot, feel weak, and will have a fairly low immune system.

Yes, that's called being anemic. It has not a thing to do with veganism. It can happen to non-vegans, and even non-vegetarians too. Perhaps there is a higher rate of occurances in vegans, but only cause people are stupid and are doing it wrong.

I've been pretty anemic my whole life, so I can't tell if its had an effect on my immune system/body. However, I would not suggest going iron-free fo cosmetic reasons. You could get really sick. And there is a higher occurance of anemia in "newbie" vegetarians-- dropping all your meats with no other source of iron in vegetables or grain products.
