But, allow me to explain.

For those unfamiliar with The Colbert Report, this is what goes down -- you post a list of people or things that have annoyed you recently, and you hope for them to change soon, or else you'll boycott them entirely.

Bush Bashers: We understand you hate the president, that's all well and good. WE GET IT. SHUT UP ALREADY. He may have gotten us into Iraq, but I don't think he's the cause for every last one of your problems. (This goes for people in certain neighboring countries too, when they should be concerned about their OWN politics. Ahem).

Elitists: For making me feel like an idiot for liking popular anime and games (Fullmetal Alchemist, some of Inuyasha, Bleach, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy VII and pals, etc), for liking dubbed anime over subbed anime, etc.

Yaoi fangirls: For downright scaring the crap about of me with your psychotic slash pairings that make absolutely no sense. I have no problem with sane yaoi fangirls, just ones that try to convince me that "ROY/ED IZ SOOOOO HOT U SUK 4 HATING IT@!1!1!!1!1".

Dante: I don't need to explain this one.

My mother: Oh mom, why won't you accept my anime-watching, video-gaming lifestyle? WHY?

Why is Naruto the only thing on here, you ask?

Well, it's simple.

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF NARUTO.

Yes, it'd be NICE to ignore it...but, ah, everywhere I go...

A/M/C - Threads such as "NARUTO RULZ LOL" and "I LYK SASUNARU" and "oMG OMG OMG SASOOKAY SUX I WNT HIM TO DI LOLOLOLOLOLOLPIE" absolutely plauge the place, and that's my second home on the internet, the A/M/C is. There's even been talk of making an entire subforum for Naruto, because it's gotten that out of hand -- a measure I haven't ever seen proposed for the A/M/C (for the record, no single anime series has its own subforum there).

theOtaku - "Naruto volume 546 places 1,000,000,000 on top selling list for the week!" "This week's Otaku Attraction is an AMV from Narutofan128785354386573", about the 24 episode long fight between Naruto, Gaara, Sasuke and Shino! The song featured is 'Rip my heart out and pin it on the wall with your knife of LOVE' by Thrashing Desolate Nymphs.", and other such news posts are plauged with Naruto. ANd the featured fandom? Naruto and Sasuke Wallpaper, Sakura greeting card, Shino fan art, a Kakashi x Iruka fan manga.

EVERYWHERE I GO, it's Naruto. I understand it's popular, and that's fantastic that it's getting more people into anime, but...

I HATE Naruto.

It's easily the worst anime that has ever assulted my eyes. It's the same freakign thing OVER AND OVER, Naruto and his pals find some ninaj to fight against, they spend God knows how many episodes trying to beat it, ninja is beaten, begin next arc, repeat until story is dry.

I realize the manga is more intelligent and has more depth to it. That's great. I myself like the manga, to a certain extent. But even then, I can't stand to read more than a few pages without getting horrifically bored.

I fail to see the appeal in it. THOSE KIDS ARE NOT NINJAS. Ninjas don't wear screaming orange track suits, say believe it/dattebayo every five seconds, have bright pink hair, read porn (then again, we never know), angst over EVERY last thing, and, most of all, they're supposed to be in the shadows.. I could spot one of those kids from a mile away.

For the record, I don't hate Naruto for its fandom, but they certainly ain't helping me by saying "You don't like Naruto? YOU MUST DIE." and crap such as that. I hate it because I have seen FAR better anime.

I am, however, willing to give new Naruto series - Naruto: Shippuden a chance. It follows the manga a bit closer, and chronicles the Naruto kids as teens. It looks semi-interesting, and I'm willing to give it a chance.

But, until then, following the words of Scott Rasmoomair about Inuyasha...if not somewhat improvised here...

SCREW NARUTO, SCREW KAKASHI, SCREW SAKURA, SCREW SASUKE, SCREW IRUKA, SCREW SHINO (SORRY, LIL), SCREW SHIBI, SCREW JIRIAYA, SCREW YONDAIME, SCREW GAARA, SCREW TENTEN, SCREW INO, SCREW KABUTO, SCREW ORICHIMARU, SCREW DEIDARA, SCREW ITACHI, SCREW THE ENTIRE AKATSUKI FOR THAT MATTER, THE ONLY CHARACTERS THAT SHOULD NOT BE SCREWED ARE GAI LEE, ROCK LEE, HINATA, AND TSUNADE, FOR THEY EXUDE ALL SORTS OF AWESOME. OH, AND KAKASHI AND SAKURA, NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT, BECAUSE I LIKE THEM AS A COUPLE. BUT EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD JUST JOIN THE DBZ CAST AND ANY NEW INUYASHA CHARACTERS SHOWN PAST EPISODE 50, FOR THEY ALL CONTRIBUTE TO A BAD STORYLINE, PLOT, AND ANIME.

...Phew. I had to let that out. One too many screaming Naruto fans got to me. How do I know all those characters if I hate the anime? Simple, the excess amounts of THREADS I see with them!

Religious Zealots: Do I need to explain this one? I'm atheist. I don't believe in any God, Salvation, Damnation, whatever. I believe religion to be merely a system of belief held by people who would like to think that anything they did on this earth really counted towards something higher than we can supply.

Over-Rated Japanese RPGs/Manga/Anime: Again, you should be rather familiar with this. I used to be a sucker for it, but I decided later on down the road that I didn't feel like being another wanna-be fan who could name all the anime he saw off the top of his head without at least getting an idea of other concepts of Japanese life and culture.

Nationalist Filth: You heard me. "America: Love it or Leave it"? Excuse me -- I'm not going to love this country just because you told me to. Nationalism is only one step below blind worshipping; without knowledge and being informed about what you're worshipping, you're no better than a robot who's killing people without knowing what you're doing or why you're doing it.

Uneducated Rebels: That's right. Don't claim you're the s**t because you're a rebel. Okay, you rebelled. Good for you. I'm sorry you can't accept what shithole you're living in and you can't even understand what you're pushing for. Anti-heroic people are so incredibly common around nowadays that you really have to try to go with whatever flow remains.

Humans: Misanthropes have more fun. ^_^ *thumbs up*

Rap Haters: I will defend this to the bitter end if I have to -- don't beat on rap because it produces violent culture and promotes undesired activities. Your punk rock (What? Is that uneducated rebellion?), country (You'd be surprised what those ******** drunks in the Stetsons will do when their wives cheat on them), metal (Satanism, occult, aggressive habits), Top 40 (What? Another JT song about dry humping? Paris Hilton -- I'm richer than you and I know it? What?) and other genres of "better" music are no cleaner, no more suggestive, and, most importantly, no less influential than urban music is. While there are truly inspirational songs out there that are absolutely spectacular (your Stairway to Heaven, for example), we have our rap songs as well (such as "Dear Mama" or "Rule").

The statement in response to your public ridicule was not what I was referring to as educated -- many people take swearing as a sign of low intelligence. I was referring to my choice to hotlink in the face of adversity as educated rebellion.

...If you'll notice, not one thing I put on my now-extinct "You're on notice!" board had a swear word in it.

I just know that many, or, at least, many I know, would concider an educated answer to not contain profanity, or at least, a minimum number of it.

well kudos to you for posting your own opinion, i dont really follow the series or anything, i too myself find it a bit dull, it has a great idea behind it but they used it in the wrong way, makes me think about an ep of pokemon combined with many eps of dbz
in pokemon (starting from the orange iles) its teh same thing, ash, misty, brock, and pikachu start out happy, meet someone new, get into conflict, team rocket shows up and is easially vanquished, conflict is worked out, they learn a lesson, they leave, the end, and on to the next ep which has the same theme
and in dbz they spend rediciously long ammounts of time and eps just to beat one person at times, like when they were on namick or how ever you spell it, it took goku 3-6 eps to power up his spirit bomb, which is an unnessesary ammount and 4 more to beat freiza
seriously, most anime these days are getting really angsty and dull and repetitive, prolly reflecting the lives of everyone else, you know, all these kids do today are the same things day in and day out hardly anything ever new, and they whine over just about anything.... todays society is really ******** up and in need of help

I agree, Zero, for the most part -- Pokemon got bad after the Orange Islands (I still watched until about season six, then when season seven came I just gave up). The first two seasons were pure genius.

And I hate Dragonball Z now (I used to like it some time ago, now I wonder what the heck was wrong with me), and I suspect today's Naruto fans will look back five years from now and wonder WTF the big deal was. (The original Dragon Ball series, now...THAT was good. I love it).

I myself perfer shorter, more intelligent anime, such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Elfen Lied, Trinity Blood, Eureka seveN, Evangelion, Death Note, etc. The only really long series I'm watching now is Bleach, and even then I fear of repetitiveness in the future.

yeas the ones that acutally have a deep meaning behind their story, and dont require someone yelling out everymove that they are going ot make (ie: "PIKACHU THUNDERBOLT" which anyone with any brains or ears could hear and perfectly counter it, and "KAMEHAMEHA" which again anyone could dodge it if they hear him yelling that, even a braindead baby chimp could do it) those i prefer over ones that just keep going for rateings or what ever the reason is for dragging on a show for so long is
and as for repetitiveness for bleach, i think there might be slight repetitiveness when the writer runs out of ideas but will get a great idea or two to make it interesting for the most part

The only people whom I know that are opposed to profanity and consider them to be solely for the uneducated are generally uneducated themselves (see : pretentious).
