I was looking up Mikey on Wikipedea, and it said that durring the recording of TBP, he had an emotional breakdown that caused him to leave the band temporarilly.
Did anyone know about this?
If so, does anyone know the rest of the story?

It said in the SE that someone had to leave, but it didnt say who. It did however, say in the nwe AP that Mikey was super depressed, and had to leave the house for a while. This is also why he got the eye surgery and cut/dyed his hair, to "get rid of" the person he had been during that time.

'S quite sad with Mikey, depression is hard on everyone. Seems to be going through the family, though I hope he's able to recover quickly before any permanent damage is done.

i read that mikey left for ahile and gerard was in a depression and the band almost fell apart. mikey came back and then gerard got better and then they continued making the album. gerard's depression actually inspired gerard to write sleep. he used to have dreams and nitemares and had trouble sleeping and thats what the beginning of sleep in atlking about.

Yep.
So is the Sharpest Lives, about his drug addiction, and alcoholism. He feels that he's past it enough to write about it.

Give me a shot to remember And you can take all the pain away from me
You're probably not going to get much more information about the subject besides the article in AP. Gerard wanted to avoid talking about who had to leave as much as possible so I'm surprised that made it public at all ((though I had a feeling it was Mikey because of how hard Gerard took it)).
Yes, he was depressed for what seems like a very long time before recording The Black Parade and staying in The Paramour set him over the edge. But he's better now so I don't think we have anything to worry about.
A kiss and I will surrender The sharpest lives are the deadliest to lead

Yes, Mikey had an emotional breakdown, and he actually ended up going away for a few days to think it over, which cause the rest of the band to almost split up. Mikey had decided to drop out, but the rest of them tried to keep his spirit up, and eventually he ended joining back up. The reason for his emotional breakdown is because he was getting married soon, Gerard was having the worst tremors during the night and would scream, and Mikey would severly feel his pain, he felt that they weren't going to get anywhere with the new album, and etc, etc. MCR are still together, and Mikey said he never wanted to make the mistake again of quitting, because he knew the band would need him.
Hope that helped. <3
