Has anyone read it or/and can give me a quick review of the story but not give away the ending?

Honestly, I didn't like it, I would tell you, but out of the hundreds of books I read, its the only one I've never finished.

Lol. The only book I've never finished is Harry Potter 5.
Ehh.. Catcher in the Rye is a little compliated. It's full of symbolism and has a lot of underlying plot that needs to be worked out as you read it.
It's worth reading though. If nothing else, just because it's referenced in a lot of texts.

Not really, I just found it purposefully confusing and misleading.
The characters were fresh when it was first written, but now that whole set up has been done to death, and there are much better examples out there of symbolism then catcher in the rye.
Like I said, I read alot of books.

What about characters, settings, the plot or reason you would get into the book at the start, is it PG13?

Catcher in the Rye is one of my favorite books.
There is a scene where the main character, Holden Caulfield, is with a prostitute but he doesn't go through with it. In fact he just wants her to sit and listen and talk.
There's cursing. But I guess if you would rate it, it's PG-13.
