I'd be thinner, I'd be taller Go clubbing in my collar With skin pale as a moth Dressed in black, I'd go creepin' While the normal folk are sleepin' If I only were a Goth With my hair up, I'd look fancy Like Siouxsie and the Banshees With silk or velvet cloth Dressed in boots, never sandals And the room would be lit with candles If I only were a Goth
Yes I'd wanna die From the bottom of my heart impure Would I like another clove? Well, sure And after that, we'll go listen to The Cure
I'd pretend to be a vampire Like in stories 'round the campfire I'd suck your bloody froth *sucking noise* Yes the thing I'd be best at Is impersonating Lestat If I only were a Goth
In my casket purse I'm toutin' Einsturzende Neubauten And pagan hymns to Thoth Yes the world would be depressing Over death I'd be obsessing And this corpse that I'm undressing Would be sexier, I'm guessing With my diet I'd get scurvy And I'd worship Peter Murphy If I only were a Goth -------------------------------------------------
I suppose you've heard this, then?

MortSanglant This makes number what of the Voltaire threads? Four of five at least, in the music forum alone. I posted these exact lyrics and this exact topic in the main forum a few months ago.

Isel Haha, and as you know I've been here for months.
a**.
Cut some slack, maybe? I've only been here for about two and a half, maybe three weeks. Contradictory, no? Okay, please think through what you are about to say, when you call a person a**. Number one: You stated you've been here for months. Number two: You then say you've been here for 2.5 to 3 week(s). PLEASE specify where "here" is. Simply, because, after some thinking, I was able to realize you meant "here" meant Gaia, then "here" meant Got Goth? -sigh- Which "here" is "here"?

It's called sarcasm. I was referring to the same "here", being the guild. The guy basically came in and said he posted the same thing earlier as if I was supposed to know that... I haven't been in this guild for longer than one month.
I called him an a** for that and exactly that.

I called him an a** for that and exactly that. The point Gil was making was that we prefer people to actually seek out prior threads before creating a repeat.
I can't even begin to tell you how many Voltaire, MCR, "what is goth music?" and some variant of Siouxsie and the Banshees vs. Bauhaus vs. The Curse vs. Joy Division threads there have been.
It becomes very annoying.

Okay. Enough.
He should have checked the music subforum first before making the topic. Common mistake, not the end of the world.
Making caustic comments about it isn't going to help anything though. Repeat threads happen. It's a fact of life, so instead of making this a bad thread full of negativity either stay on the original topic, or please stop.
If anything continues in the negative fashion this topic WILL be locked.
