ive tried converting the heads several times and i fave cut the knees and moved them so the battle suit is crouching which can look realy cool with the right weapons and i have cut the arms at the joint and made them straight which looks realy cool with the broad side suit's rail guns mountid together in the hands instead of the shoulders

How about converting some XV8s for some recon duties. I feel it may be interesting to have one that has a radar dome on the top with a few extra antennas, additional sensors and two modified drones with it. Color scheme might be some shades of gray.

I was working on some conversions of the battle suits resemble the Landmates from Shirow's Appleseed. I took the railguns from the Broadside, cut off the 'rail' parts and used the back half as a base for a 'rifle'. (Yes, I suck at explaning things)
I'll post some picks once I'm done with my exams.

has any one thought about trying to use some eldar bits to modify the suits? like the tanks have some curvy bits that look like they could be used to replace the the feet on the suit

I dont know eldar parts very well. Though I have always found it fun and interesting to add Tyranid 'war trophies' to models. It adds flair and a hardened veteran feel to them when you add some compat damage to. For combat damage just make some gouges in the model with a modeling knife/drill and the paint a black base and silver overtop. I have done that to a few models and regardless of wetehr its messy or not I find it turns out fairly well.
