Have you ever read a fanfiction for a pairing that you hated and fell in love with it?
I absolutely love the fanfic, "Unthinkable Thoughts," by Adian Lynch on ff.net.
It's a Harry/Draco fic, and I highly reccommend it.
But the thing is, I don't usually like Draco/Harry. At all. But I LOVED this fic.
Have you ever come across such a well-written slash story it didn't matter the characters involved?

I can't exactly remember the title and author of the fic, but I know that it was Axel/Riku (from the Kingdom Hearts games).
Normally, I'm a staunch "Axel goes with Roxas and Riku goes with Sora and that's that" kind of girl, but...
Dangit, the delicious angst was too much to resist. I adored it.
Still don't like the pairing much, but that fic was lovely.

Hmm...I think there was a fanfic there somewhere...
If it counts, I usually hate people seperating my YnM boys, but some fanfics with a little experimentation...

If the author pairs up people I don't like, I don't bother reading it.

Plenty of times. I found this REALLY great Lucius/James fanfic on FF.Net (I think it got deleted tho' as it disappeared off my favorites *Was sad for a whole month*) that made me a total fan of the fandom. It was just that well done.

Lucca Ashtear If the author pairs up people I don't like, I don't bother reading it. It's the same for me. I always look for the pairings I like, and skip those that aren't.

I could never stomach the thought of Red Dwarf slash, but then I read a great series of fics on Adult Fanfiction.net that totally changed my mind. Lister/Rimmer all the way! Lol.

I kinda don't read them if the pairing doesn't seem interesting. Unless it's one of my friend's fics, and then I usually end up liking it. .::.thinks.::. Maybe that means I should start reading those pairing more? Ne?

I found a site called the fan fic vault and lots of the pairings in their Yami no Matsuei fic were things I never would have thought up in a million years like Rikugo/the count and Terezuma/Sohryu but it was all so well written that I find it hard to think of it any other way. I highly reccomend their fics to anyone whop is interested.

Can't say that I have since I don't tend to get attached to non-cannon pairings. Although I did read this Megatokyo fic once on aff.net once that disturbed the hell out of me. Ew. Ew so very much.

I used to absolutely HATE the idea of Harry/Snape, but then I read "Light on the Dark Side of Me" and it blew my mind. Whenever I've read that pairing before it either felt forced or out of character, but this story made snape's acceptance of harry and love slow enough that it wasn't OOC at all. now I'm a harry/snape fan extraordinaire!
