In the books(1st and 2nd) then Kaito gets mad or defeative his head glows and here is a cross on it. Does any one know what it is?

It's a symbol that all Panthalassa members have. Whenever they are in trouble, the symbol will shine and protect the person. Although, Kaito's symbol started to glow whenever Lucia was in trouble, also. So, it's basically a symbol that he is of the Panthalassa clan and that is what protects him, also.

  well for me the sign on kaito's forehead means his true identity this mark shows he really is a powerful sea creature whom grew up in the human world it also means that his love for lucia is allowed.
