As long as it doesn't look stupid on you after it's smeared, it shouldn't matter. Sometimes it makes one look creative.

It depends on what kind of look you're going for. If it clashes with what you're wearing, then yea, it would look tacky and out of place. However, if dont correctly, then it shouldn't. Even if it's not done correctly, most people would just shrug it off and think "oh, well, she probably has it that way on purpose".. so, no, not tacky. smile

Wow
Your school is, unfortuniatly, non liberal. To be suspended for how one choses to express one' self, I consider to be wrong. While rules and guidelines must be adhered to, I see no harm within your above statement.
To conclude, it is not "tacky," it is not "weird," and it is NOT "inappropriate."

Why should wearing eyeliner in one fashion opposed to another be considered inappropriate in school? I find that, as celebie said, to be a violation of one's self expression. At least you can wear eyeliner at your school. My old one allowed no make-up whatsoever.
Anyway, I do not believe that smearing eyeliner is "tacky" in anyway. I actually find smearing it to create a smoky look, which I, myself, prefer. If that is the style you prefer then so be it. Do not let others attempt to change your ways.
