Has anyone else seen this OVA? There's two of them and they're very dark and gritty but oddly beautiful. Even with the whole slavery thing(PETs) and the violence(some of it implied) Is there a manga for this? Anyone know?
If you havent seen it please do....its not very graphic and has a plot(OMG!!! A PLOT!!!)) and although the art is a little dated it is still beautiful. The ending of the second and final OVA will probably make you cry.

I believe Ai no Kusabi has some novels, not manga. The novels haven't been licensed and from the short conversation Forchan and I had with the head of BeBeautiful, it doesn't look like licensed will be any time soon. >>
The art is rather nice. Iason is very pretty. ^^

I loved Ai no Kusabi... but it was upsetting at the end...
my desktop has Ri-kun on it O___o
Iason pwns, blondies pwn... and I would read the novels if I could read Japanese... but alas, I cannot. I want something from this lovely fandom to be licensed some time though

some of the novel has been translated by this one girl. ive only read a bit of it...and i forgot the link lol...
the whole plot was awesome cool i love iason. rikki was a whinning little retard who couldnt ever seem to make up his mind.

I absolutely love Ai no Kusabi. crying It's so angsty and dark and... ah.
I'm lucky to have the both OVAs on DVD. :3

I liked it a whole lot as well. It was so sad i cried like a little baby razz I really want to get my hands on the novel one day.

I liked Ai no Kusabi, especially the ending. The plot was a little confusing, but that's probably because I read a bad summary and I kept referring back to that. The art was beautiful, too.
The really creepy thing, though, is that I think I read an Inuyasha fanfic when I was like twelve that borrowed the Ai no Kusabi universe. It felt like the Twilight Zone...

i finished watching it 20 minutes ago n have been cryin eva since... IT WAS SO SAD!!!!
riki isnt whiny!! he was just confused, its GUY who should DIE!!! cuttin...bits...off his friend!!
Da sex scene in da 2nd one was so GOOD, i actually stood up and applauded!! (with a MAJOR nosebleed!!!) it was UBER-SMEXY!!
all da characters were sexy as hell, but i think da most uber-smexy guy was raoul (Iason's friend) eek heart heart eek 4laugh

Yes, I really liked the Ai no Kusabi OVA, especially the second.
I cried in the end, although I didn't expect to.
I found it to be very moving, and the plot suprised me because it was very clever.
And also, I just LOVED it each time Iason would say the word "pet".
The face expression and the voice then was so awwwww......

Has anyone here read Taming Riki by Kira Takenouchi? It's wonderful. I think there are points that surpass the original series. If you haven't read it and are an AnK fan, you should. I can't link it, because it's NC17, but there are adds for it on aff.net.
Kira is the goddess of AnK fandom.
Her original stories are pretty good too.

Ai No Kusabi is the best Yaoi anime I have seen. The only thing I didn`t get was the world they lived in. The ending was sad and beauteful
