Okay, I have been theologically adrift for some time now. I have found myself unsatisfied by the more or less "Do whatever you want" of neo-paganism/eccelctism. I can appriciate the freedoms of such a mindset, it just hasn't been working our for me.

I've decided to look into a recon instead. I have, for some time, felt at least a limited connection with the Greek pantheon and the Celtic pantheon. Granted, this is probably due to them being the two pantheons with which I am most familiar (everyone learns a bit of mythology in school, and I read some Lloyd Alexander when I was roughly the same age, and some of the chracters in his books, I later found out, were apart of the Celtic mythos).

In anyevent, I figured research might be a fairly good idea, but I have no idea where to start. I'd go to Wiki, but I've read Reagun saying that he has had issues with their take on Celtic theology before, and I wonder if similiar problems might not exsist anything that covers the Greek pantheon and their worwshipper's beliefs.

I really know very little about the true historical method of worship for people of those faiths, so I'd have little or no chance to seperate fact from fiction.

Anyone know any good sites or books that they could recomend to me?

Or other recon groups as well.
Asatru, Slavic recon, and I love some of the pre-Christian Spanish mythos.

Okay, I'll look around and see if I can't find myself an internet-ified version to start working thru. Thanks.

If you have any starting points for any of them, I would be happy to read of them as well.

A half hour later or so, and a Googling of "Celtic Annals", "King's Cylce", and "Tain" have revealed to me that even alimighty Google has some major limitations.

Next stop...book store!

So did I. Thankfully, I don't know what Gertrude Stein looks like. So I had to imagine a female Ben Stein.

Sigmund would have a field day with this one.

Ooh, that reminds me - there's a cigar store in CityWalk Universal...
