I'm having trouble with my skanking...

I just tried skanking a while ago.. And I, sadly, am having trouble.
For some reason.. I just dont feel like I'm doing it right. I've been to 2 websites with proper instructions on how to skank, but that didn't help me much.
I feel so ashamed that I am not able to do this lovely dance.. So I thought maybe you guys could give me some tips or.. something. redface

the fact is...there is no wrong way to skank. At a ska show any funny dance with energy will do. The more bizarre the better.

There really isn't a perfect skank, you just dance the dance you feel inside. If its not a cowded show and I have enuff room, i'll do the normal one,two skank step as a move my arms left to right as i skank.

If its crowded, I just dance like brak from space ghost with his thumbs in the air.

Don't be shy about how you dance, you'll look worse if you stand there not dancin. 3nodding

I felt the EXACT same way the first time I started skanking, and then I went to my first ska show, jumped in doing my crazy thing and discovered the best thing about rudies: They don't care as long as you're trying and having a good time.

I still felt like a jackass, but I've gotten better, if there's such thing in the land of ska. More or less, I just feel better in my mind doing it. Too bad there's not enough ska shows in Jersey for me to skank to. sweatdrop So I'm stuck skankin in the hall with my bro blasting music from his computer.
