[Discussion] Close Call :v

I was reading Yaoi on the computer and the two guys were kissing shirtless. And all of a sudden, my dad appears into the room, hovering dangerously close to the screen.

I panicked so much I faltered with the mouse, trying to open another window, and his eyes swiveled to the screen and I kept thinking, Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!

He said: "Watcha reading?" surprised

I finally managed to open a new window and screamed, "NOTHING!" eek

"It's not porno, is it?" *Suspicious tone* confused

"Ew, no! Dad! I'm not a pervert!" sweatdrop

Thank God he went away, not asking any questions. That was a scary moment. gonk

Got any similar 'almost caught' stories to share?

I remember the time I left open a window of my one photobuckets and it was on a page of boys kissing. I was alone so I got up to get a drink upstairs. After a few moments of being upstairs I heard our door opening because my mother was home. I ran through the hall and almost tripped going down the stairs. When I get to the computer and closed the window the woman just kinda looked at me funny and walked away.

There probably wouldn't be a problem if she saw except she'd most likely think I was looking at porn and that wouldn't be good.

Well it happened when I was in this guild, browsing at pictures. My homophobic father came into the room and stared at the picture of I was looking at. I totally froze and he was like "That girl is kinda cute". It was close call, as I could get into big trouble for just liking boys love. sweatdrop

Hehe....my mom had to use my laptop to type up something for work (it's the only computer in the house that has word) and I was praying to any diety that may exist that she didn't open my HUGE porn file. xd It probably has everything you could think of in it: stories, yaoi, yuri, regular hentai, regular porn.... sweatdrop Good thing I locked the file. 3nodding

A long time ago, my grandparents (worse than a parent) came to visit and I didn't know I'd left out a volume of FAKE. (No claiming either of them is a girl...) My grandma picked it up and asked what I was reading. ( gonk ) I nearly had a heart attack, but she got a phone call and left the room before she had time to look inside. I've rarely been so relieved in my life.

i've been wondering about this for a while, actually (and sorry for suddenly commenting like this) but how do you lock files??? last time i tried that, i ended up locking the whole system >_<

I remember one time I was looking at a fanfic called house of love which is about my favorite slash couple Subaru/Kamui. Well anyways I was reading it and enjoying it too when all of a sudden my mom comes into the computer and startles me she tells me that she has to go onto her user name and use the computer to check her bank account well I was trying to click out of the fanfic as fast as I could but I guess not fast enough because when she was checking her account she asked me why subaru was telling kamui I think you should lie on your back . . . and draw your legs up I was so embarrased I felt like I was blushing. The only thing I could think of saying was that I didnt think she would want to read it and she agreed. After she got done checking her account I told her what yaoi and boys love was and she didnt mind at all so I was really glad that she wasnt mad or anything.

Haven't gotten any such moments to share. Had a lock on my door when I lived with my parents and my screen was facing away from the door, so I was always able to close anything - ehem - "inappropriate" before they could come in and say silly things. Moved out a year ago when I was eighteen and since then I haven't had to fear anything. Not that my parents are homophibic or anything, it'd just be a pain in the a** to have them ask about things they already know.

~I've almost been caught reading shounen-ai fanfiction and fanart a couple times, but usually I manage to close the window before they can see it. One time I had to tell my mom that Rei(Beyblade) was a girl. She seemed a bit suspicious to me, but I'm rather paranoid sweatdrop

I've almost been caught in a rather more unfortunate way before. Let's just say that my parents don't know about my bisexuality, let alone my boyfriend. : P We've had a couple close calls, but we've managed (so far) to get our clothes back on or talk our way out of it every time. : biggrin : I've gotten pretty damn lucky so far. Mom and dad think we're just best friends. twisted

My dad almost walked in right at the part where Yuki and Shuichi kiss in the first episode. It had just switched to the credits when he could see the tv. Nearly had a heart attack. sweatdrop

My mom had for some unknown reason had been badgering me for a few days, back in early Janurary. She kept questioning me about being into porn, and I denied it (afterall yaoi is kind of porn).

It was a close call, and I keep my yaoi fan books hidden anyways. I'm an adult dammit, and its none of her ******** business anyways! I suspect my bratty son is some how responsible. Oh well, he starts anymore bullshit and he'll find his sorry a** in a boot camp!

Hehe, I always have "close calls" with my parents but they usually never know because I use the "switching tabs" technique with my mozilla just in case anyone in my family just happens to enter the room.

I was watching Sensitive Pornograph (again =P) the other day and my brother just barges into my room to ask for a paperclip (geez a paperclip!!?!?!? I was pretty off guard...). The expression on his face was priceless. He probably thinks I'm some psycho by now.
