The Baudelaire Orphans are
In a land filled with happiness and love
in a land filled with woe and misery
just children who are not bright enough to know what goes on in the world

From book one biggrin ear Reader,
I'm sorry to say that the book you are holding in your hands is extremely unpleasant. It tells an unhappy tale about three very unlucky children. Even though they are charming and clever, the Baudelaire siblings lead lives filled with misery and woe. From the very first page of this book when the children are at the beach and receive terrible news, continuing on through the entire story, disaster lurks at their heels. One might say they are magnets for misfortune.
In this short book alone, the three youngsters encounter a greedy and repulsive villian, itchy clothing, a disastrous fire, a plot to steal their fortune, and cold porridge for breakfast.
It is my sad duty to write down these unpleasant tales, but there is nothing stopping you from putting this book down at once and read something happy, if you prefer that sort of thing.
With all due respect,

Lemony Snicket

I've never read the books, but the movie was interesting.

I will admit that the books are a little...young I guees. The language isn't the best, but I love them. I think they are funny and interesting and mysterious too. I'm waiting for the last one to come out!

The movie would be good if you HADN'T read the books. If so, then it seems horrible in comparison, at least, that's my opinion.

I love the series. I think the books are the right age for 4th grade through sixth. I like it because it teaches vocabulary and I have used the first book in my reading class. I read up through book 8 and I have up through 12. I like the series. Violet is my favorite. Also, I saw the movie and I liked it despite that it didn't folloew precisely the books.

Tell me, would you sort of consider this series as fantasy?

Well, maybe. Like, all these weird creatures come from the imagination of Lemony Snicket don't they?

What creatures?

I think those reptiles real;ly exdist. I( think the author is juist taking what he knows and making an interesting story.
