tab The Luna duchess had a busy day, and she was struggling to clear her mind. She stood outside, the moon full as she sat on a bench and was watching the night sky. She had just sent a message to her daughter, the tail end of the light emanating in the sky as it slowly disappeared. She held a warm cup of tea in her hands as she relaxed. She knew Bree wouldn't be awake at this time of night, and she too probably should go to bed but she didn't feel like it quite yet. A thought crossed her mind and she stood, the long back of the dress brushing against her legs as she headed into the school. She had finished her drink, stopping by the kitchen where she washed the cup herself, setting it on the drying rack and headed towards the library. She had met the librarian prior and he seemed very kind, not minding her nightly visits as she found being surrounded by books quite comforting.
tab As she carefully pushed the doors open to the library, she walked in and towards the non-fiction section. She was looking for specific books tonight, and she was on a mission to find the correct one. She walked over to the section about Luna, her finger out as she gently brushed it against the titles, reading them as she did. Occasionally she had to tilt her head to read the title, causing her blonde hair to fall over one shoulder. A soft hum was heard as she hummed the Lunar lullaby she'd sing to Bree, her mind running back to her child. She found the books she wanted fairly quickly and even an additional one that might help with her task. With a total of three in her arms she made her way over to a table, illuminated by the moon coming in through the large glass window near it. She set them down, brushing her hands smoothly underneath her to fold the dress under her as she folded her ankles under the chair, leaning forward on the table as she opened one of the books.
tab She had worries about the state of her home, and was taking this time to do research and see what she could find out before her own father gave his input. She loved her parents dearly, but she also didn't agree with some of his opinions about certain things. How to handle parenting being one good example. She had been wary of sending her daughter off to school but when she was offered the chance to come to this academy she sought the opportunity. She didn't want to be home, alone and forced to listen to her father's ramblings about what she should believe in, not when she could be here making wonderful new memories and potential allies. Well, that is, should it ever come out where they were from. She knew there was a rule against it, and she nearly had slipped up a couple of times herself, but she caught it before it was too late. She didn't want to be in trouble with the headmistress after all.
tab As an hour passed, she finished reading the needed information in the first book, having moved on to the second one. The moon now higher in the sky as she leaned forward onto her arm, her head supported by her hand as she read on the Luna fairytales that she was told not only as child but she told her own child. A faint smile flickering across her expression as she recalled her princess and her dream-scape world. She wanted to be more in tune with what might occur next, wanting to be prepared to assist as she was needed, although she had yet to see her princess since it happened.
tab Charlene enjoyed the silence, her eyes locked to the book in front of her as she tapped her other hand against the table. Her voice carrying through the library as she hummed a tune that had been stuck in her head for days. It was nothing in particular, just a song she thought of while reading the fairytales.
