This is copyrighted...just so you all know
Road of Sorrows
Take me down my road of sorrows And I will tarry there Beware of the spark That bursts into flame For that spark lives in me
I will be caught and wrapped up in a false world I'll dance a dance that no one can stop Pointed bare toes against cold cold white marble And the velvet will sing as it brushes the floor
Take me down my road of sorrows And I will tarry there Beware of the spark That bursts into flame For that spark lives in me
Diminutive fingers all covered in lace Pull hard at the doors of a garden quite fair Rows upon rows of the rarest of flowers But alas! The most precious is withered and dead
Take me down my road of sorrows And I will tarry there Beware of the spark That bursts into flame For that spark lives in me

It's depressing that I've had this up for 5 days and no one has any comments.

I really liked that. I love the line "and the velvet will sing as it brushes the floor." The entire piece gives me a sense of someplace forgotten yet held dear by the speaker.
