Ujana was no stranger to sparring matches with the Alkidike. As a child she had played with hybrids often enough to get a taste of their physical prowess, more so in her teenage years when she was actually able to go toe to toe with them. And now that she was an adult, one who was dating one of their kind, no less, Ujana sought out every opportunity to prove herself an equal match to the alkdike; maybe even a little tougher.

She'd found Mnyiri on the outskirts of a Jauhar settlement, and stopped the hybrid on her way out of town. It had been easy enough to con the stranger into a match; she'd talked of expanding her skill set, something that Ujana could admire. Of course she hadn't expected to battle the other woman while she rode a radaku, but it wasn't as if it were out of the realm of possibility. Her own girlfriend rode a snaptrotter, after all, but while Matlal was powerful on land he had his disadvantages.

She was used to Snappers, but Ujana didn't know what to expect here. She swung her mighty hammer in a wide arch, hoping to exploit a weakness of Mnyiri's, but while her strike hit, Ujana's blow ultimately carried little strength behind it.

Mnyiri was an idiot.

The plan had been to stay on the road long enough to get to a place far enough into earthling territory to make contact with friends, and see if they were alright. So, when she was stopped by a rather exuberant, pushy earthling woman she'd thought it might be a good chance to test herself. After all, why not? A little fight couldn't hurt?

She hadn't planned on this woman being shredded.

At the time Ujana had herself covered up with a shawl, no doubt do to the morning chill, but before the battle any unnecessary layers were shed. The leafling may have been shorter than Mnyiri, but the glint in her eye....it was downright feral.

Like a beast who had finally been unleashed.

Mnyiri was too slow to blow Ujana's attack, even with Mvua snarling and snapping at the woman. When she tried to swing one of her own it missed it's mark by such a wide margin that Mnyiri instantly felt shamed.

"Come on! Where's your fire? Your damn radaku has more bite than you do!" What kind of weak strike was that? Of course she'd known this woman wasn't the cream of the crop for warriors, it didn't take an expert to see that, but still....this was pathetic! Ujiri could have managed better than this blindfolded!

Ujana side stepped it easily and shifted her stance. Her legs widened out, body squatting before springing up in the slightest when her opponent got close. She slammed the hammer into another strike, this one crashing on the alkidike's firm thigh.

Mnyiri shrieked.

The bone in her leg didn't break, thank the Goddess, but it buckled and the instant white hot pain gave her whole body shivers. At least it was enough to push the leafling woman away, but a spark was brought up in Mnyiri. Her fire?

"What kind of fire is worth maiming someone in a sparring match?!" Mvua was already running towards Ujana, fangs spread wide and a snarl building up in his throat. The radaku carried his mistress to their enemies side, where he sank his jaws into tanned flesh while Mnyiri drove the butt of her spear into Ujana's stomach. Hopefully it would knock the other woman out for a while, and if not....then Mnyiri was in for a heck of a ride.
