The exterior of the hive was surprisingly unassuming given the type of person Sascha Diasis was. The door, awning, and window were exactly the same as his neighbors in every direction. The sand-tattered wind chimes were the only defining feature of the hive beyond the address posted above the mail slot.
It took a minute before Sascha made it to the door. The reason for the delay was obvious. The revealed interior was so thick with junk it made one wonder where Sascha had even been standing prior to answering the door.
Sascha leaned in the threshold, occupying its entirety to the best of his ability. He was dressed rather plainly. His hair was piled on top of his head in the semblance of a bun. He had the look of a man clearly not anticipating company, much less the company he found on his doorstep. His eyes had narrowed the moment he'd opened the door and hadn't shown signs of relaxing.
"Hey... Tevini. Fancy seeing you here. At my hive." Sascha did little to hide the intense once-over he was giving Tevini. She didn't appear any more tense than usual. It was a good sign, if not odd given the nature of their... relationship.
Sascha took the envelope from Tevini and opened it immediately. The stiffness in Sascha's expression dropped immediately, though instead he just looked confused.
"A party? This is a party, right? The name makes it sound like a business conference. I know that isn't Cerpin's style, though. Public relationship..." Sascha blanched as if he'd only just noticed the quadrant suits liberally spattered across the flyer. "Wha... Wai... Wh- Why's he got you delivering this?" Sascha flapped the paper in Tevini's face. He had far more than one question, but spinning the spotlight onto Tevini was a far more comfortable option at the moment.
