Quote: Hypothermia 7-12 - You do an average job, nothing extraordinary, but passable! Repeating 1s or 2s - You didn't use enough supplies, that's rather lazy and Cricket obviously disapproves of it.
Hypothermia, it was very clear from looking at the dummy that this was the case. However Lute had to pause a moment to dig through memory and figure out what exactly the cause and treatment should be. She could recall this happened when a body lost heat faster than it could produce heat, so that meant treatment should be focusing on getting it warm. The dummies body was felt again, looking for dampness. It was then she noticed the shirt was actually wet, Lute blushed hotly as she worked to remove the shirt and drape the dummy in a blanket once the wet clothing was removed.
A little worried about using to many supplies so went stingy and only used one blanket, making sure to tuck the dummy in before moving on to another step. The temperature of the body was taken and Lute decided she should use a first-aid warm compress to help bring the temp up further. After a moment to decide she again only went with one instead of two or three even, taking a second to open the compress and squish the gel around to warm it up. When warmed the compress was placed on the back of the dummies neck.
After awhile the dummies state returned to normal and Lute felt pretty pleased with herself. This of course only lasted until after Nurse Cricket graded her. She had passed but Lute's ears were hanging low in disappointment. The nurse had called her lazy for not using enough supplies and had said the word 'passable'. Passable wasn't a word she could accept! Lute collected her things and swiftly moved out the door to collect herself.
She would come back, she would come back and do better! No better than better! Lute felt her cheeks burn as she moved away from the class room. Maybe some time in the library to study would help ease the pain of passable. Sighing the ghoul headed off in that direction, ready to brush up on some medical books for the next round of first aid class.
