Forera had been in the area.
She was getting used to visiting Busthind, especially now that she had more reason to visit the challenging terrain apart from the quiet, simple city. She normally went back and forth between the swamp and her hive, but now that most of her friends had left the swamp for their own reasons, Forera stuck around for one week a month at most, bringing more weapons and artillery from the city and helping out with repairs/perimeter checks. Right now, she was in Busthind for another reason: A tiny, stuck up tealblood she'd felt she could ******** with. He was frustrating and a little annoying, but she's somehow managed to become some sort of... Figure to look up to, in his eyes, and Forera definitely wanted to keep that going. It was funny, and Forera enjoyed having a little s**t follow her every action. Besides, he was sorta adorable.
Forera stared at the night sky, eyes distant, having just arrived near the area but decided to take a moment for herself. The sky was beautiful, especially from where she stood, but she'd been barely focused on it. Her thoughts were a tornado in her mind, things she hadn't wanted to ruminate on spinning around her mind in a whirlwind of thought. Why was thinking so troubling? Forera never liked to think, it made her overthink, and overthinking made her do (or not do) stupid things. She sighed. It'd be okay. All she needed was to punch some stuff with Deimos and show him how cool she was again, and her mind would settle.
A crackle made her tense immediately. Her eyes narrowed and Forera took a battle stance, hand reaching for her targeting middle launcher, unafraid to use it. Before she could bark out a threat, there was a low whine, familiar, but also strange. She watched as a white creature showed itself to her, eyes showing confusion, hand pulling away from her gun. What was Deimos's lusus doing there? "Yo." She murmured, slowly walking up to him with an outstretched robot hand ready to pet him before Thypion shuffled and changed his position.
It was Deimos. He looked like s**t, almost dead and exhausted beyond belief, but older now, stronger. She'd watched him age over time but now the wiggler looked a little taller, and— Footless. Forera's eyesight went blurry. What the <********> The tealblood opened her mouth before closing it, feeling a slight murmur in her head tell her to leave, right now, right there and then. He was a strong troll, he'd get over it like she did. She'd already gotten too attached, and in leaving she could disappear from his life completely. He'd survive, and she wouldn't have to deal with him. She didn't need to trouble herself with someone who didn't share the same beliefs she did.
But at the same time, she didn't want to.
He was tiny and weak and still needed a lot of teaching-to. He was dumb and frustrating and had everything he needed in life except sleep, he was privileged and took that for granted. Forera clenched her teeth. He was bleeding out. She didn't know what had happened to him, but his foot was bleeding out and Forera knew what to do. She clicked her tongue and gave him a harsh slap across the face. "Wake ******** up." She hissed, pulling off her pack and gesturing Thypion to lay him on a rock she'd been near. "Listen t'my voice. If ya can hear me, wiggle yer hand." She was harsh as she said these things, but from her pack, she pulled out a large, sharp machete, something she was going to teach him to use tonight. Well, this sure was one way to go, she guessed. "I ********' need ya awake fer this, fer ******** sake, Deimos, squeeze MY ********' HAND!"

Dull ache had filled his entire sense of being- from the slightly sharper pains of teeth digging into his back, to the pulsating feeling at the end of his right leg. Deimos was certain he'd never felt anything this awful before, and oh what he'd give to make it stop. Each step Thypion had taken was excruciating- as careful as his lusus was, he could not prevent teeth from digging in, or the fluctuation of height in both heads to stop jostling him. Where were they going? He couldn't see-- no, he couldn't open his eyes, that was it. The sounds of the forest were slowly fading- were they going into town? No one in Four Fronds would help, he was certain of that. It was a resort city, him living on the outskirts was barely acceptable.
Busthind was far, not... unberably far, but would he make it? Would he bleed out? Thypion was keeping his legs higher than his torso, but even then he swore he could feel the life draining out of him with each heartbeat.
He was starting to fade when a sharp slap to his face brought him violently back to reality. Thypion whined louder, disliking the harsh treatment that ... Perore? Yes, it was Perore, was giving him. Still, the lusus did nothing but attempt to gently lay him on the rock she had indicated. He flopped limply, unable to really do much else. He was so dizzy- so unsure of which way was up or down. The stars overhead finally gave him some sort of indication. When had he opened his eyes? The familiar whisper that had drawn him so deep into the forest was starting up in his ears again. Maybe stars really could talk.
Something more real was egging at his ears - Perore, she wanted him to move. Could he? He tried, managing to move a couple of fingers- then they were caught on her hand. Warm, in comparison to his own at the moment. He squeezed weakly, opening his mouth to say something - was that a blade? Oh, no. His voice wouldn't work, but he was very much awake, and holding on with all the strength he could muster. She was going to do something to him, he couldn't figure out what, but he didn't want any more pain.

Forera was glad he was still awake. Hell, she was glad he was still squeezing her hand tightly, even after lying about doing it on three. It was better that way. Forera dropped the machete into her pack before pulling it back on and lifting the tiny body into a princess hold and stomping her way down the rocks and towards the city below. She hoped Thypion was following-- She was covered in blood, Deimos's blood, and honestly, she looked like she was the one to harm said child. She tugged the goggles over her eyes so as to hide her blood color and was thankful to already be wearing her jacket, tugging it closed.
They were near a city, and in the city she knew a mechanic. A shitty mechanic, but it was enough for now, and it would be enough until she could get the bleeding to stop. Maybe she could wrassle Tevini into helping him when she was around again. Cerpin knew Deimos. When Tevini met him too, gained his trust, it'd be easier to break the news, right? She hoped. She charged into the city and immedeately made her way to the mechanic, gaining a couple of stares from those around her but paying them no mind. She slammed in, and the rest of it was a blur of movement and yelling. Forera would not let her little buddy fall into the same fate as her own.
nepsah SAVE YA BOI RERA, SAVE HIM!!!!
