Remember, these Pae are Pae first and their cosplay counterparts second. So anything that doesn't fit our world doesn't exist and in the end, their characteristics and names can be whatever you choose- doesn't have to fit the cosplayed character.
The little bit of info we do want to retain with this character is that the rest of the Merfolk in this event - Ariel Auction and the Concept Contest Merfolk- are all his daughters. At one point he was the king of the Merfolk, but sadly his home has been destroyed by a magical, unexplainable whirlpool that scattered them and the others. They have been living at sea for who knows how long, but the 'calling' is now drawing them to the lake just in time for the party!
