Group Class: Relay Race

In a large, enclosed track the agility instructor passes out a relay baton to each group participating in the race. The rules are simple – one troll at a time will complete a stretch of the course and pass the baton until the last member of your team passes the finish line.

Mechanics
Find partners and create a group of 2+ trolls to complete this relay race! Pick your running order first to decide who will be running and who will be standing by. When you are ready to begin, the first running troll will roll 1D10 until they reach a cumulative sum of 30. Each time they roll 1D10 their teammates can cheer them on by rolling 1D4, which adds the sum of that roll to their running comrade’s posts. Once the first troll hits 30, the next troll in line becomes the runner and the previously running troll stands by – and so on. The cheering bonus does not carry over to new running trolls once the previous troll has reached 30. Once the final troll has passed 30 the race is considered to be won and the class is passed.

"They have a second part if you're interested..." Deimos pointed over to the signs indicating the relay race. "If you want to really work up a sweat we could do that next, since you only need two people." He quirked a brow. Honestly he wasn't sure how well this would go down with his leg starting to ache as much as it was, but... it was good training. Pain endurance. Hell yeah.

Assuming she wanted to continue, he headed over to the relay race area and got into position. He may as well go first since she was still...not... sweating... over the sprint test. "I'll start us off, you go to the forward check point." He nodded up ahead, then started off.

Austri wanted to flip him off right there and then. Instead, she followed him to the next course— More running! She wiped some sweat off her face, gulping down the rest of her water bottle and resting near the track as he started to run. She guessed he was just naturally a slow runner, what the hell was he doing out there anyways?!? Cupping her hands around her mouth, the greenblood yelled loudly at the teen— "Get off your a** and move your legs, slowpoke~! What are you, my lusus~?!?" Not really, even her lusus was faster than him. Pretty sure.

Just for that, he intentionally slowed down. "Oh I can afford it alright." He snorted, rolling his eyes for real this time. Of course, he didn't exactly want to spend a lot of time jogging on his bad foot so the slower pace did not last long. He just hoped that the discomfort that was steadily increasing from it wasn't showing on his face as he picked up the pace. "We'll see how fast you get this done when its your turn how 'bout that?"

"Just get your a** in line and move!" Dumb tealblood. Dumb racing. Dumb!! Everything!! She watched him run, hollering and yelling for him to move, hands cupped around her mouth to amplify the sound. "I'll be real fast~ Like always!" Always, ignoring where they'd just come from. Austri glared at the other, clapping at him, as if doing such would motivate him to keep running.

Well if she was going to get that bent out of shape over it... he slowed down, mouth twisting into a smirk of self-satisfaction. It would probably bite him in the a** later but if she was gonna be this easy to rile up he just couldn't resist! "Oooh I bet you will... you were just speed racer in the last round weren't you?" His tone was absolutely laced with sarcasm. At least the slower pace was easier on his foot.

"You can be a d**k about it but it's not like it'll change anything~" Austri exclaimed, having absolutely had it with his smug sarcasm. "So just move your a** and hurry it up~!" Austri was just trying to be supportive, but her being supportive meant her being an a*****e about it. Which was generally her way of living. It usually worked, anyways.

"Fine, fine, I guess I can go a little faster." He waved a hand dismissively at her, but... true to his word, he did pick up the pace a little until he was actually making an effort at running. "You better run sooo fast when its your turn with all the s**t you've been sayin'." She wasn't far off now, just a few feet, right? How big was this track, anyway? It almost seemed like she kept getting farther away the more he jogged.

Austri found his running not up to par. I mean, before he started getting a little faster. He was almost there. But honestly, she wasn't interested in his running anymore, mostly in how close he was to her. "C'mon, pass the baton~!" Austri quickly rushed into place before reaching out for it, eyes focused and eager. She'd definitely run faster than he did.

There- almost, aallmost there... He held the baton out, and pumped his legs faster to get it within her reach. He really just wanted this part of the exercise to be over. Not that it was... bad, the whole thing, he was just tired and wanted to rest his leg. "Take it! Now you get your chance to show me how it's done." He slowed to a stop as soon as the baton was in her hand, sighing heavily. Finally. Rest time.

The minute the baton landed in the palm of her hand, Austri grabbed it and practically flew away. Her legs sped through the track like they were on fire-- Her speed was her pride, her strength her joy. She was ready for more. Deimos had nothing on her.

Okay. Maybe she really was fast- then again she had working legs, didn't she. "Woooow who knew you could move this fast! Where was that before?" Was he being sarcastic? Probably. Was he really amused that she'd practically launched herself away as soon as she grabbed the baton? Definitely.

"Up your a**!" She hissed, slowing down some because every professional runner knew how easy it was to ******** up when one was at their full strength. Austri pushed forward excitedly-- Running was one of her most favorite things to do, aside from actually exercising and training her muscles.

"Really? Is that why I finished first last round?" He actually laughed at that one. She was super easy to rile up- and it was honestly more fun to do that than it was to run. "C'mon, you're already half way there." He waved her on a little before starting to stretch out his legs a bit. No point in getting all stiff...
