OOC PLEASE READ THE META FINALE exclaim HERE exclaim BEFORE CONTINUING IN THIS THREAD!
Home. The good news is those horrible dreary tower walls are gone. Gone are the days of infinite stairs, the tower itself now a series of elevators, and even the main lobby and infirmary looks updated. It looks familiar, it looks modern. It feels comfortable, but it also means there is plenty of change to be had.
Medea seems to have retired to her usual tower spot, but in her place is a very short, stocky war horseman. He's barking instructions like nothing else, dressed in what you now recognize, thanks to your Hunter memories, are gym shorts and a t-shirt. He's yelling something about the tower challenge, and rehabilitation and a bunch of human world nonsense. Not all of it is wrong, after all, know thy enemy.
OOC gaia_crown [ WELCOME HOME: YOUR HORSEMEN CHARACTER HAS BEEN TRANSPORTED (TO THEIR UPGRADED) HOME ] gaia_crown They DO remember EVERYTHING they experienced in the meta, even the details of horseman clans, functions, weird distorted jobs as relevant to THE DUSK. Whatever you rped, you remember (keyword, RPED).
gaia_crown Feel free to drop them off here in response to the prompt/rp here a bit as well as write a post-meta solo on their thoughts/feelings/reactions on everything that happened so far.
gaia_crown As half the "cage" actually happened RIGHT ON HORSEMAN ISLAND, despite everything, or well the outside of the tower looking brand new, unfortunately, the inside needs a lot of repairs. Hope you're good with that kind of thing.
Tower Repairs gaia_crown [ The (upgraded) HORSEMAN TOWER has some key areas that will need repair! ] (You may do so in this thread and/or separate rps).
gaia_star [ First roll 1d6 to determine the damage done to your Horseman's place of living. ] (bonus: those who live in the tower may subtract 1 from their roll! Those who live outside the tower must add 1 to their roll!) 1-low to no damage 2-5 inconvenient damage 6-7 enough damage for them to spend a week or two elsewhere while it's being repaired
gaia_star [ WAR FLOOR : ] The War common floor looks fantastic, but there's also a lot that was damaged. Half the training courses are broken and will require some new creative effort into obstacle course management. The prisoner quarters are cracked, you are going to need to capture new Humans at this point. (Free free to make a prp capturing humans for the quarters if you'd like!). Most of the trees in the canopy have fallen right over and will require either creative movement or tree replanting. Bonus: +1 rp point in addition to the standard 1 rp point for meeting word req, once per character
gaia_star [ FAMINE FLOOR :] The Famine common floor is in a state of pure chaos. The specimen containers have broken, and there's just massive insects everywhere that need to be wrangled and recaged. Some of them are dead, half-squished or just husks, who could have done this to them? Bonus: +1 rp point in addition to the standard 1 rp point for meeting word req, once per character
gaia_star [ CONQUEST FLOOR : ] The Conquest Common Floor doesn't seem to be too badly beaten up. Until you realize the entire floor is covered in water. Better get a bucket, or something bigger. Some parts are so deeply covered in water, you either need to swim, get a boat, or wade through to get any progress. At this point the classrooms are unuseable. Bonus: +1 rp point in addition to the standard 1 rp point for meeting word req, once per character
gaia_star [ DEATH FLOOR : ] The Death Common Floor is now unbearably hot instead of cold. Just entering it you feel like you're in a furnace, and you can see liquid hot magma pouring occasionally through the pathways. Is this safe at all? First things first would be pushing the pillars back into place so the area isn't dripping with literal magma. Bonus: +1 rp point in addition to the standard 1 rp point for meeting word req, once per character
gaia_star In one (IC and OOC) month, the new changes will be determined by these RPs, and the bonuses will expire (RPs do not have to be complete, you may recieve bonuses as long as you've hit word reqs). After another month, you may consider the projects complete and the floors whole again.

He had no idea where he was.
The Tower was a grand and elegant place, quite modernized, the interior all shining glass and tiled floors. There were elevators that led up and down the various floors, which, he assumed, were also organized well, if the signs that were directing him were any indication.
War.
Famine.
Conquest.
Death.
He couldn't figure that out, either. Mengyao found himself being directed to one of the elevators by a confused looking person in very pristine looking clothing, and then he was up several flights and led off onto a floor that was nothing but -
- water. That was troubling.
"I think there's a flood," Mengyao said absently, lifting one foot and looking at the sodden ends of his robes. They were so outrageously overdone that it was taking way too much effort just to walk, which was perfectly ridiculous. Mengyao made his way towards the indicated way, and found himself in a room that was just as overdone as his clothing.
There was other clothing, heaped on a cart in the hallway. Mengyao peered out and snagged a few items, changed with a certain amount of relief that he was no longer looking like an overpuffed princess. The jeans were fitted and easy to move in and the long sleeved shirt was a shade of dark blue that pleased him.
Then he went back into the hall to look around more, hands raising to tie his hair back into a messy bun in the process.

The horror and the confusion bounced off of Ollie easily, both forgotten in the face of all the adventure he’d had. Perhaps most of his time, over the past weeks, had been spent as someone else – and worse, as the enemy – but it hadn’t been spent badly. Being a hunter was a different life, but many things had stayed the same. He had fought, and trained; he’d ventured out onto missions in the human world, and been faced with strange and fantastic tasks.
The uniform had been different, and the faces; the home and the teachings. Everything else, though, had been pretty much the same. So he came home with his memories, with new lessons learned. And he was glad to be back on familiar soil but he didn’t look back on it with hostility or discomfort. It had happened, and now he was home.
But home wasn’t how he’d left it. And this, more than anything else, was what started to get under his skin. The modern lines of the new tower had their appeal, but the change was startling, alarming. The mess inside was worse, rooms in disarray, as if someone had run through the place on a drafthorse. It put a little knit between his eyebrows, finally turning his homecoming a bit sour.
His own room had never been much, of course. It was a place to sleep, more than anything else, more cell than comfortable quarters. There was a bed, of course, and a dresser, though most of his clothes lay sprawled over the chair in the corner. A stuffed tiger sat crookedly in the window, one of its eyes halfway fallen off.
It wasn’t much, no, but it was all he needed. And it was all he cared about. And when he saw his own rooms a bit scuffed and scarred up, that was what finally broke through what remained of his cheerful optimism and made his careful smile fall. He went from ambling, wandering, exploring, to all of a sudden running in to poke through his meager belongings to see what remained.
When all ways said and done, his room was better off than most. Some lines scored the furniture, a memory of some wildly waved blade. The blankets were torn, a deep rent up one side. One of the windows had been popped out of its pane.
All of it repairable. But still, Ollie was mournful as he looked at the mess, still doe-eyed as he emerged out into the hall again to see what else might need his help.

What could be said of home?
Iyari hadn't a sense of the word and hadn't for some time, even predating the shattering of the mirror and the horrific experience that followed. Her body felt gross. A warrior who had been covered in blood, sweat, mud and any other assortment of things, she had gotten used to being dirty. This was nothing like that. It offended her skin layers and down to her very core, that core of rage which rather being quelled had only ignited further.
We should have done more. The bitter thought echoed.
Her hands clenched when she saw inside the tower, knowing that the events of the mirror she saw showed her all of this. Iyari didn't want to see the extend of the damage, not at all. Not like this - just knowing they had been in there and around made her angry enough. As she approached her dwelling on the War floor she lighted up to it quickly, staring at it. Aside from a few things on the shelves that had been moved, nothing seemed out of place. Except a certain fluffy pelt, nothing was dirtied either.
But it didn't feel like home. Not even without damage... it looked the same, smelled the same but it didn't feel the same. The anger wasn't going away, the ideas of the next step were always going to come back... like a throbbing wound. The Elder horsewoman stood motionless in the middle of her tree hut, staring blankly at her items and trinkets. It wasn't right what they were able to do, what had happened... were there others that thought the same? Surely there had to be, but she only knew one of those people personally.
I have to find her.
The thought pressed more angrily than the others and her wings twitched, the feathers fraying on the end and she stared back out of the door, slowly moving her hands to place the pelt back over it. The memories were still there. The memories of her, the memories of home, the memories of family. Home? The island had been more her home than anything, before any of the mess had started and before it had come to all of this. She was still searching for destruction, for war in a battle that would be never-ending, just like herself. Just like all of the horseman.
