Healing wounds was a difficult matter for the War horseman. While she could stitch herself up and ignore the pain, the slow recovery annoyed her since she wouldn't be able to train. Rather than succumb to the hours laying in her tent, she decided to roam the area near the tower before she settled into the trunk of a gnarled tree, under the shade of the tower.
Slowly, the dull ache of the wound on her stomach faded and she leaned back against the tree, moving her wings out as the position of the light changed, feeling relaxed against the warmth coming to her wings. It was hard to think that only hours ago she'd returned from fighting another Hunter. And failing again.... Pleasant, it wasn't. Slowly the chieftain left her thoughts, thinking back to the islands again. Peace filled her mind and she felt utterly disconnected again.
Rare as it was, she felt peaceful as she balanced herself on the high branch, closing her eyes and humming a soft war tune, though it sounded much more like a lullaby without the accompanying drums. Relaxed and content as she could be, Iyari let her mind grow quiet, not even aware of her surroundings for the moment being.

Iyari had become so settled, so quiet that she didn't hear the movement of the others' wings as they approached, nor the creaking of the branch of the tree she landed on. "!" Her eyes shot open at the words and she became quickly unbalanced, grabbing for a branch but there was a sharp, deep pain in her side and she felt herself falling, even her wings were too unstable as she fell.
"Oof!" She hit a branch. "Ah!" She hit another.
Several noises followed as she slid down through the trees, hitting branches until she fell at the bottom, her wings crumpled into her body and she glared back at the tree, but mostly felt a bruised pride. Until the other pain settled in and she hissed angrily, unable to move from her position. "Who's there?" She called, coughing once or twice, but the pain at her side nagged at her to not move yet. She couldn't tell who it was, the voice wasn't familiar at all.
What a great first impression I'm making... damn.

The pain was still sharp and she gasped a bit, looking at the other horsewoman with some skepticism, but with a grunt she relented to taking the skin to drink from it. With a few coughs she drank a bit, handing it back and she let out another gasp. The taste wasn't like she was used to, some sort of tea she figured.
"Suppose I'm lucky I wasn't more ambitious about my leisure spot." Iyari shook her head and glanced back at the other horseman. She looked different from what she was used too, it took her a few moments. "Well, I'm Iyari of War." She started, slowly sitting up and letting out another soft hiss of pain, grasping her side. Damn that Hunter. She cursed under her breath, though also to herself that she hadn't yet given herself time to rest.
And now needed help. "Who do I have to thank then...?"
