He was finally alone, and he knew he was alone because he had left strict instructions to batter anyone that came near him after he had been assaulted by a lioness who was desperately trying to overcompensate for...well...everything. He couldn't quite put his paw on it, but she certainly had something bothering her and she was so determined to hide it, or make up for it, that she was recklessly pursuing others when she shouldn't have been.
It was an incredible waste.
Yet now that he was able to relax and his wound had been dressed (again), his mood was returning to a much more pleasant one. It took more energy for him to remain furious after all; if he wanted to take offence at everything then he was going to have to focus more on trivial issues than major ones and that just didn't suit him... Thus it was with this in mind that the lion finally gave a sigh of relief and lowered his head to his paws. He could sleep again, at least that was his intention, and when he awoke he would feel refreshed.
Unfortunately, Tethys rarely had anything go to plan in his life and even as he began to drift in to the world of dreams, another entity was fully preparing to ruin his day.
