xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxTheme: A romantic ocean! How I do love the sunset.

Through timeless fun and aged, wanton destruction, it seemed the trio was once again back on track with nothing to lose. Gyui found herself half lidded late in the afternoon after a typical night with Goldi and some bar whore they picked up from Whiskey Peak. A little toy to play with before heading out to the next island, which was fine. The problem however, with these toys is that they never understood that when their usefulness was up they didn't get played with anymore. In other words, leave. Turning a gaze over to the woman who dared, DARED, be standing in her and Goldi's room, wearing what looked like one of GoGo's shirts caused the air to suddenly grow mildly frigid. The woman shivered, turning to see a death glare coming from the pinkette rising from her sleepy state, still nude. "What was your name? Elizabeth? Samantha? Something like that. . " Like honey her voice peaked, doing a stretch as she ushered an annoyed expression. "Come. . Sit. . " And as told, the woman walked on ever very slowly, the air growing more cold by the second. "Why're you still on our ship?"

". . Well we're sailing and, after you all destroyed Whiskey Peak, the bar I worked out was demolished so . . I'm out of a job. ."

Understandable. It did make sense. Really, it did, but GoGo wasn't on dru-meds, and she was cranky. That never meant things would end well. "I get that. Listen, go on up to the deck and when we dock, we can let you off on the next island. I'm so sorry you had to deal with all this craziness. Honestly we get so rowdy sometimes." Playing about with the girls hair, she sheepishly nodded and headed out the room, past Goldi and to the deck. As the blonde entered GoGo had already begun lining a row of pink dust and giving it a nice hard snort, causing her to lean back. "********. . I needed that. . Real bad. ." Turning her head to Goldi she'd smile, wiping the excess off her face before getting herself dressed. They had another day of chaos ensuing, so it was best that they get started. "Take your time. I'm going to take Galand and scout out the next island up ahead. . Oh, and make sure the girl gets a nice tour of things while I'm at it. Byeee~"

A twinkle of the fingers and she was out the door, heading on up to the deck as they docked. and the woman, waiting, stood as well. Plainly Gyui strolled past her, heading out onto the island as the other merely stared in confusion. "Come along." A blank and pointed response; but the evident fear that laid within her gaze grew ever more intense as they walked further and further out where only a lake lay. Still, the woman watched as GoGo stopped, turning on her heel to eye her opposite with poise and a smile. "Well I have a job for you, since you need one." Moments later, Galand and Goldi would here the screech of the woman; not nearly as pleasure filled as the night before followed by an eerie silence. The air cold, frost permeating over the island as the once desert cacti began to turn to a tundra. And out came strolling a single GoGo, a smile that was outright evil stretching as her frost did the same. "Ain't much of s**t here, but that just means nobody'll miss it."

[ It’s such a waste, having all of these people die off all the time. These women, for example, could have given birth to amazing talents in the future. But, in the end, Galand can’t very much go against either of his crewmates desires and habits as things stand. He needs them, and he knows that better than anyone. A sigh leaves his lips as he hears the screams of the woman in the distance. His large blade is hoisted over his shoulder while his legs hang from the side of a ruined tree stump. “What a waste.” he says while waiting for Gogo to stroll back up to him. His eyes slowly scans her form, taking in every detail. What a lovely body, and she has a face many men would kill just to get a peek at. And yet, somehow she wound up in the crappiest parts of the world’s darkness. Like a fruit in the garden’s of Eden. He stands up as his crewmate approaches, staring in the direction of the lake. Everything around had gone cold. Frozen like the snow cape of Drum.

“Then, let’s get started.” he’d announce, turning his back to head for civilization. An almost grim shade hangs over his face the closer he gets to the small city.

His eyes view the many graves lined up along the way, some thrown every which way, as if there was no rhyme or rhythm to the digs. And up above on the cactus shaped hills were even more. After stepping into the confines of the city, Galand pauses. He looks to-and-fro, at all the people lingering about living their everyday lives. These people live completely unaware of what’s about to take place here. A sour taste sets in his mouth, as the more he thinks, the more he remembers his past. The more he recalls that ‘she’ was born on this island… His head tilts back, and after a heavy exhale, a voice booms from his maw. “Anyone who wants to live, leave this island now! Otherwise, become one with the graves you so cherish!” Through this, many people stare in his direction, strangely aware of what he means. Was he a fool, a drunk, or maybe he’s just out seeking attention? In the end, most people ignore it, until one of their inhabitants comes running back barking about pirate flags.

Immediately, the people slowly turn back to Galand, watching him sit down with crossed legs, patiently. As his eyes open again, a dark glare pierces the hearts of the innocents, and they burst out into a panic. “It’s always like this. Every single time. People have grown too accustomed to peace, and have grown ignorant to the darkness lingering right beneath their feet. And when that darkness decides it no longer wants to remain downed and bound, it lashes out. And every time it does…” Slowly, a powerful rumbling emanates from the man as an epicenter sphere forms around his fist. “...it’s always too damn late to fight back.” His fist slams down into the ground, causes a powerful backlash of force, and with it plates of earth jut up from the ground. Fissures and gashes rip along the island’s surface. Houses crumble, the fleeing people are crushed by slags or dropped down into the abyss. A whole section of the city is wiped clean.

“Gogo, let me ask you something. What do you feel, when you see this destruction? How should one act, knowing they just killed so many people? People that had nothing to do with this? ...How many sacrifices must pile up, before this all comes to ahead?” he asks her, right in the midst of all the carnage happening around them.

Many people who die this day, with much and more left to succumb to injury or loss. It’s such a shame… So much wasted potential. ]

On her way back to her bedroom she stopped once Go Go came out with one of the tavern wenches from the night before. The other that had been with them was smart enough to have left already on a lone man, where she was headed was none of her business.

Goldi rose up a single finger to speak, but stopped herself and shrugged her shoulders. They were a volatile couple, jealousy and lusts alike plagued with an substance abuse problems; it's why they got along so well. The scarred woman decided not to question what Go Go was going to do with that woman since she'd already known; she was going to scold her later but she knew the other wasn't going to listen either way. Instead she watched Go Go snort a line, Goldi doing the same after when her dearly beloved headed back out to escort the woman off of the ship. She gave a nod of the head so Galand and Go Go could scout the island while she grabbed herself a drink or three; deciding to be a little bit late to the party.

A change of clothes was in order. She stood up and set her bottle down, removing her robe as she ruffled her already bedraggled hair. Goldi sighed, turning her head over her shoulder towards the body-sized mirror across the room. She stared long and hard, her well-toned back littered with old whip scars. Deep sapphires peered through the looking glass, one glossier than the other; exposing its artificiality to no one but herself. She'd gaze south, her body leaned to the side just enough for her to see another man-made imperfection in the form of something the polar opposite of effeminate.

A long pause. A sigh following after. In one moment her curls were golden blonde, but with a single tug and sweep of the hands across them they'd recolor into a nest of deep coral tresses. The only part of her body that she didn't find repulsive, yet it was because of her locks that she'd become just as horrid on the inside as she felt on the outside.

Goldi had the power to remove her imperfections, all but perhaps one, however, she kept them. She kept them as a constant reminder of her hatred for Atlas in its entirety. Her anger, her violence, her wild and sporadic nature. On a surface level it all appeared randomized. That Goldi was just another destructive pirate hellbent on loot and world domination. While true, there was so much more to it, so much that she couldn't yet share.

She chose to play the villain, but for how much longer could she do this?

A half bottle of whiskey rested on a bedstand across from her. A long limb stretched across and swiped it. She brought the nose to her lips and tipped it back. The tonic burned her tongue and set her throat ablaze as it was down in hasty, heavy gulps. Then came a scream from outside. A woman. A less than pleasurable one at that. Pulling the bottle away from her greedy lips she peered down its brown barrel with her one good eye and sighed from its empty contents. Until she could get her hands on more booze to drown herself with she would have to make deal with a mild intoxication. The drugs helped shake the edge off but they always made her a little more antsy than usual.

It was time for another show.

Goldi threw on some clothes, a ruffled top today, and strapped up her stomping boots. She snatched up her Captain's hat from the floor, dusted it off, and set it atop her head as she made her way out.

The motley crew of misfits had made it to Cactus Island, unfortunately there weren't really any sights to behold other than the massive frozen patch that GoGo had already created. They would have to make due with this despite there being little to no people in this dessert land. Pirates by any name would suffice, even those who crushed mountains in their wake; both literally and metaphorically. She could feel the tremors from the ship; it seemed that Galand was all riled up too. This was good.

Goldi took in a deep breath of the salty sea air again and cooed contently.

Clutching her cap she leapt from the stolen ship and onto shore where she fixed her coattails. Approaching the others from behind the amazon places a heavy but gentle paw onto GoGo's head, towering over her.
"And whut did I tell yah about killin' me tavern wenches? Yah know they're hard to keep in stock, love. We ********, sell the ones we ain't like n' keep the ones we do fer out harem. Only ones that die are the ones that talk back. Got it?" She scolded, then ruffled the woman's hair playfully given they'd gone over this a few times before; but no matter how many times she did Goldi knew that it'd never stick. "Good." She didn't wait for a response. Instead, she leaned her long body down and gave GoGo a kiss.

She wasn't sure what she was interrupting between GoGo and Galand but she'd leave them too it. Strutting off through the crowd of frightened and fleeing citizens.
"Let's make this quick, yeh? Not like any Marine folk 'er gonna show up anyway." She chortled, waving a hand around as a matter-of-factly. A stream of blackness swirled around it before she threw it out in the form of an even black sphere at a nearby building. The structure immediately imploded, devoured by the ball. She'd throw another and another all the while humming a particular yet peculiar tune to herself.

The frantic screams and cries of the people were her choir.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxTheme: A romantic ocean! How I do love the sunset.

Their usual game of chaos and destruction wasn't met with the avid face of joy GoGo was so used to from her patriots. Galand seemed almost angry by the people today, as the pinkette watched in wonderment atop a nearby wall as he displayed his power. The man had always struck her as a confusing one - in some sense, he seemed to have this ideal that this was justice. That what they were doing as pirates was the way to somehow make things right. Honestly,, as she stared to his backside, she wondered what kind of man he was before he became this wandering monstrosity. Hell, why were any of them doing any of this? For her it went back to that island - Amazon Lily, where she was born. Their laws prohibited Kuja from enjoying themselves. From seeing the world or making changes and for that reason, she'd been cast out of society. She didn't want to follow some foolish queen who didn't understand that there was more to this world than just people. No, what Gyui desired was a purpose; one that couldn't be fulfilled on an island where the people could barely think for themselves. Hell, could barely think at all.

She quickly learned that it wasn't just her people who were like that, but the world over. So many rules. So many boundaries. All that she was forced to follow because this world couldn't see the truth. That we are all simply the same and that, no matter our look, we all wanted the exact same thing. A thrill! The feeling of being alive! It was what living was all about! It was what being who you are meant - being your own person, meant! To thrive you needed to grow, but this world's laws halted movement. It all needed to be changed and with the people she'd found now, without a doubt she could see the change. In Galand. In Goldilockes. They held the power to move everything forward and she would back their ideals with everything she could, even if it killed her.

Such was their right to rule.

Hearing Goldi step up from behind her peaked a brow, listening to the much taller woman's words with a very simply smile. Oh, don't kill the whores. Right. She should be more careful to follow that rule. . maybe. "Mhm. I hear you loud and clear, Goldi-sama." A sweet sing song lul to her voice as she received a kiss, giving a maidens blush as the woman strolled off to continue with her own business. Her eyes did take to the woman's backside as she strolled off, giving her lip a bite as Galand's words broke her trance. "Eh. . .?" Quickly her head shifted, thought's coming and going, mulling over what was being said. Hm. . What did she think about it all? Well. . All this chaos? All this destruction? Perhaps she'd never put serious thought to it. "That's easy darling." Coming off her footing, a long stride over to Galand as he was about to raise another mighty fist, placing a hand over it as it glowed bright with his mighty power. How she loved seeing his strength in action. "This world. . was bred of chaos. Of death. Of destruction. The rise and fall of civilization is just another cycle that must be followed. It's honestly the nature of existing in this place." A hand graced his cheek, slowly turning his head to face her. "What you're doing, what we are doing, isn't wrong. We are doing the very nature of existence. Following the path set out by the ones who creates this place. Because Galand, you beautiful man you, before creation. . must come destruction. . Our actions here will give birth to a new world with a new foundation and new laws. . and you and I and Goldi. . We'll be rewarded for our actions."

A nice kiss to his lips were graced as she took a step back, hands behind her smiling and together. "These sacrifices should be grateful that we're the ones doing this and not some corrupt foundation like the marines. We are the people so we understand their plight and what better way to free them than to make it as painless as possible. . . You've done so well so far and I'm counting on you to do so much better. . " Her eyes shimmered when looking to him. Those hues of amber and mixed cyan; they held an innocence and a love. She admired his strength. His ideals. . Perhaps it wasn't wrong to love not only Goldi. . but this man as well. .

                                                            She'd never say it, however.

"We're all done for the day. . Let's move on. ." Her voice spread over the chaos and the death. Onward. They had much more to accomplish.

If it wasn't one area it was another. It seems the calm before the storm had finally ended and piracy was at an all time high. She sighed, eye twitching slightly as she had left Lily back at the base. Reports had indicated some incredibly powerful Devil Fruit abilities being used as the entire island had been raided and razed. She headed straight for Cactus Island once her business with Reverse had been finished as she choose to go alone. She didn't think Lily was ready for this and would prefer she not be endangered. And yet...She wasn't even sure herself how this would go. Regardless, she couldn't just let these pirates run about unchecked anymore. They were all getting cocky and just doing whatever they pleased. It has to stop. She had to stop it. If she couldn't then why the hell was she even a Marine in the first place!?

She spotted their ship, leading her to the same docks before dropping anchor. She could see rubble, destruction, and even ice all around as she leapt over the rail and onto the docks, running towards the middle of it all. That's when she saw only 3 lone pirates there in the immediate area. She immediately drew her pair of broadswords as she marched closer, stopping maybe 30 or so feet away from the pink haired girl and tall man. "I am Commander Scarlet, and I've come to place you all under arrest!" She declared loudly, eyes narrowing at them both. "I'll offer to let you come quietly, but I'm going to assume you decline?"

[ There was no resistance this time. It was...a one sided massacre. One too cruel to be spoken of. All around the group was screams, and the vibrations of ruin. This island was no more. A simple wasteland, with only the large cactus structures barely intact. As Galand remains seated, looking up towards the fumbling masses of plantlife, he listens intently to GoGo’s response to his questions. He never expect for her to be so clear. So disgustingly convincing. And her kiss, as if cursed to evil itself, further bound his heart to the dark cocoon surrounding it. His gaze softens, and his head lowers. “...I see. Gogo, Goldi.” he calls for them, the only people he has left in his life. His most important people.

“It’s decided. What we must do from here, while painfully cruel, simply must be done.” Silence. The screams stopped, and the collapsing structures finally quell, as does the shifting earth.

Cactus Island was no more. For what seemed like forever, he sat them with crossed legs almost admiring his work. Golden iris shift back and forth, as if searching for something. As if desperately searching for a sign of life. But there is only silence. With a sigh, he rests his hands on his knees and closes his eyes. In his meditation, he listens, and waits. In time, the sounds of footsteps draw closer. Ever closer. And once in range, his eyes open. The voice resounding from behind rings clear as day. He couldn’t possibly forget it, for she was unmistakable. “Geez. You never change do you? Ever rash, always shouting… It’s been a while, Little Bird.” he says to the new arrival, looking over his shoulder calmly. ]

To say that a few were clever enough to escape or that their survival was caused by Goldi's arrogance was a false assumption. It was by her mercy that she'd allow a handful of kids escape, maybe a mother or two when she felt like it. They had seen, experienced first hand the horrors of this world and no one had come to save them from it. They would go on to spread fear into the hearts of those gracious enough to take them in now that they'd lost everything; or they'd simply die at sea. However, she mischievous pirate knew that at least some of them would survive but not all, ensuring that they wouldn't run out of food given how many bodies were present on that small boat. How far would they go in order to survive?

All had fallen quiet. All but the hum of sizzling embers created from the rubble and debris of destroyed buildings and bone.
"Well that was ********' borin'. Yah'd think somma these folk would have a lit'l more fight in 'em, yeh?" She scoffed, irked by the common man's lack of willpower.

Goldi sat atop a pile of debris twice her height. Leaning into the cushion of a torn up couch that laid crooked atop the unstable pile of mess. A fine bottle of whiskey in her hand as she chugged its contents contently. Swiping the corner of her mouth she sighed, peering off into the distance to see another ship at shore; a Marine ship.
"Pffft. 'Bout ********' time. Sure as ******** kept us waitin'." She mumbled. Much to her displeasure, however, instead of being met with a platoon of seaman, a single redhead approached. Could it have been that she'd finally gotten drunk enough for her to just be seeing single instead of double?

"Well well well, if it isn't fancy meeting what the cat finally decided to show up! *hic*" She barked slovenly, downing the rest of the bottle, "They only sent *hic* one'a yah huh? Always knew Marines were just a bunch of corporate dog chickenshits but I *hic* almost feel bad fer yah, girl." Goldi eyed the barrel of her bottle, tossing it over her shoulder after seeing that it was void of substance. Her eyes switched from Luka to Galand once he addressed her. A crooked grin curved her lips and a brow rose, "Yah know ole Forehead over there? Well, don't let me *hic* stop yah. You have at it big fella. I know you've been itchin' fer a proper scrap, yeh? Brrreeeee-hyakyahyahyaaaa." The amazon laughed, shifting in her makeshift throne of debris.

If Goldi was requested then she'd happily oblige, but given how serious and pent up Galand seemed to be lately, she was going to leave this one to him. Either way it would be more entertaining than anything else they've done since sailing into the Grand Line.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxTheme: A romantic ocean! How I do love the sunset.

It seemed everything had been paved as thought. The world was raving and falling and with Goldi and Galand around, there was nothing to stop the oncoming swell of piracy. If they could do something like this then others would be spurred into action and with more pirates roaming the seas, the culling of these established world powers would lead to the eventual end of this terrible society. "First the World Government, then the Yonko. After that, there would be nothing to stop Galand and Goldi into changing this world into something everyone can love!" She'd squeal in thought, excitement seething off her as her steps started to take over back over towards where they docked. That was when mention of another vessel had arrived. A marine one, which meant finally someone dared to step foot against them.

A single. . lone, marine. Only one? W-Were they serious? Her face contorted, arms reaching to her side as GoGo burst into maniacal laughter. Eyes closing as she reeled back from the red head's words. Her alone was enough to stop. . them?! "GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO! GOOOOOOOOO!" Using she'd give a particular snort, but this was so funny that she couldn't contain herself. "Alright alright, I'm sorry. Let's stop this charade and bring out the rest of your force. This'll be really boring otherwise." But to no avail - this woman was actually here alone. A single person against a trio of monsters?! She could only guess the marines just didn't take them serious enough. Goldi's less than courteous response would follow suit to GoGo's own, giving a bland wave of the hand before heading towards a nice chunk of debris and plopping down. "Well it seems like Gally has your number and I wouldn't want to interrupt a meeting with old friends. Please, enjoy yourselves. I'll just wait til the cavalry arrives." In the meantime, time to bust out the old nose candy.

That oddly casual remark. That mention of how she doesn't change. That...mildly annoying nickname. The voice was a bit different but that was likely due to the lack of armor all over his head. She blinked as it took a moment (it has been a while) before her eyes turned into an even deeper glare than before. "G...Galand...!?" Her grip only got firmer on her blades as she stared at the man. "What the hell are you doing!? Killing innocent people like this!? Leveling homes!? Is this what Ran would want!? Does he even know!? He's alive you know, I let him out myself a year ago!" She shouted at him, appalled by his actions as she quickly glanced to the other two pirates present. They were both females, one was quite inebriated that the b***h could barely say a proper figure of speech. Though from what was said, it seems that the two ladies were more than happy to let the man fight Luka by himself. She was fine with this actually. She wasn't entirely sure she would have been able to handle a 3v1 scenario truth be told so if she could deal with Galand alone for now, then she might be able to do this. Her eyes turned to said man, waiting for his response as her blade stayed pointed at his chest.

[ It truly has been a long time. A whole year since his recover. Since he resurfacing back onto the sea again. He fully turns his body around now, giving Luka his undivided attention. He hoists his greatsword over head and casually spins it overhead two cycles before slamming it into the ground to his right--the hilt pointed towards Luka. As she starts barking at him, same as before, he crosses his arms, giving the infuriated woman a snide smirk out of sheer arrogance. But then those words slip from her lips. Those dagger piercing words he never thought he’d hear for the rest of his time on this blue planet. A vein slowly crawls up his forward while his brows furrow into a frown. “What you just said… Are you telling the truth? That guy is still alive?!” he roars towards the end. But after only a second pause, he shakes his head calmly. “No. You aint one to joke about stuff like that. Too straight laced. I’ll deal with that later…” He looks at the blade pointed to his chest, and then back to Luka’s eyes.

With that, he sits himself back down with crossed legs. He’d look to Luka, and motion for her to take a seat as well. If she wants to know that badly, he’d just tell her. “Freedom. If you’re asking me why I’m doing this, it’s for freedom. I warned you before, but the World Government is evil, Little Bird. You might be convinced, sitting in your pretty little office, receiving praise and saving a few lives here or there. But that’s to keep you in check. To stop you from learning the truth. If you met Ran, then you should know what they did to us back then. How they deceive both you, and us.” He stops there, seeing no further reason to explain. By now, Luka should have clear understanding of how evil they are. No, rather, he knows for a fact that she does. And yet, despite this, she still chooses to fight under their banner. To be their hound, and hunt down any of their problems blindly. She’s willingly following their banner, and probably didn’t even think to question them.

A grin shows up on Galand’s face as he rests his left arm over the same side knee. “Poor little bird. I warned you, and it’s to be sure Ran warned you. Yet here you are, dancing to the tug of the World’s strings. But Luka…” he casually starts to raise his right arm up, staring the woman dead in the face. “...there aint no strings on me. I’m free. And so, the question remains… Why are YOU here.” ]

It would seem that they haven't managed to run into one another over the course of the past year. She supposed it could be expected. The world was indeed a vast place. She sighed softly as he accepted her words for truth before sitting down in thought. He then began to speak of 'freedom' and his excuses for doing what he has done here. Her eye twitched at the response, even as he started to question her, mentioning that which Ran had already told her about before. He then stood, speaking and challenging her directly as she sighed, her left blade raised at him as she quickly switched her right blade into a reverse grip, blade pointed up behind herself with her arm down.

"Freedom....You dare...speak of this being freedom!? You are instilling fear, killing innocents, destroying homes...This isn't freedom Galand and you know damn well that's bullshit!" Her left arm shook as she became angrier at him, even as she kept it pointed at him. "Ran has already told me everything and I am not as blind as I once was. However, that does not mean I'll be condoning this sort of behavior. I am well aware of how the World Government acts in the shadows, but that is not something I can stop. Simply leaving them won't change anything. I told you before that I'll rip it apart from the inside if I must and that's exactly what I intend to do." She spoke, less shouting, but still firmly as she talked to him, recalling when she promised to him back in Lyneel that she would make herself Fleet Admiral to reach this goal. She was making progress, slowly but surely, her rank had increased several times since last they spoke.

"Call me a lapdog all you want, but my goal shall not change. I'll reform the Marines myself, undo the crimes they have committed and destroy every underground organization they own!" She lowered her sword for a moment as she sighed, looking at him with less rage in her eyes, calming herself as her emotions were soothed. "I don't know what has possessed you to think that killing people that have nothing to do with any of this is a good idea, or helps the problem in the least...But I'll ask you this now...As a man that served under my brother...and someone I know has a good heart deep down....Will you surrender peacefully and atone for this horrid sin? I don't want to fight you here...but what you are doing only makes things worse for everyone and if I must be the one to bring you to your senses then I will not hold back."

[ Galand remains seated. He only looks to Luka with a straight face, letting her speak every word thoroughly. He’d listen. He’d apply the same logic Ran would speak to the other members of Eden’s Dove whenever they’d fall to their emotions. Hear. Feel. Think. The more Luka spoke, it felt like a crisp breeze passed by his body. A warmth he all too well remembers. Innocence. He wouldn’t dissuade her from her path, he wouldn’t call her a fool, he wouldn’t break her resolve. Not yet. What she is right now, the path she’s chosen for herself? He needs her that way. With a soft nod of the head, Galand exhales. He finally stands himself up, and goes to wind his right arm counter clockwise, it hovering over the hilt of his greatsword.

“You know, Luka. I decided. Before, I hesitated. Didn’t know what to think of you. But in the end, I decided to place my faith in you and yours. To believe in your resolve to change things from your end.” Galand crouches, and bounces back up, repeating the pattern a few times to stretch his legs.

“You’re beautiful, strong, and you’re determined to serve your resolves. THAT is why I decided for you to be a light. Cause if there is a great darkness, there will be need for an even greater light to banish it, and save the sea in the end.” He reaches out and grabs the hilt of his greatsword, partially unsheathing it with his right hand. His smirk from earlier returns, and his body would almost seem to emanate his will to fight. “Show me how far you’ve come, Light of Justice. And you damn well better be at your best, cause there ain't nobody here to save your hide… And that, Little Bird, will cost you.” He’d fully unsheath the greatsword now, wielding it backhanded, pointing behind him. In his head, he can only think of one single thing. This is gonna be fun. ]

Luka looked at him, hoping that he would not make her do this, not arrest a man that her only remaining family had once fought beside so long ago. He spoke to her and went on about trusting her. He wanted her to become a light for justice itself. As if he was deliberately trying to set her up for greatness, almost like it was back in Lyneel. Yet...it seems he was still going to stick to his own path of darkness. If no other reason than to simply oppose her and the light he wanted her to become. It's like he was playing the bad guy just so she could become a greater hero. She sighed softly, shaking her head as he rose to face her in battle. "So that's your answer then..." She closed her eyes for a moment, suddenly raising her left sword again to point at his chest, eyes opened again with renewed ferocity and focus. "Very well then. I'll strike you down myself. You want to play the bad guy so badly? To oppose this light? Then come and try to snuff it out!" She challenged him, grip tightening once again on her blades as she prepared for the worst.
