A mansion rises from the still and silent Forest. The trees are morphed and twisted in order to make room for the large building. A fog surrounds the mansion, but there is light coming from inside as well as the giggles and chuckles of children. No one knows why this mansion appeared nor can they explained the creepy atmosphere created this mansion. It looks old with dark color themes painting the walls. This is no ordinary mansion...its a spooky mansion!
In front of the mansion, at the bottom of the stairs, stands a maid with red hair and a giant pair of glasses. She carries a pleasant smile on her face. She bows to the children who have come to see the mansion. "Hello boys and girls, you're in for a surprise. Will you receive a treat? Or will you receive a trick? Only your luck will let you know. Be careful in there, they like to play...most of the time." She smiles at them once more and steps a side to let the children enter, at their own risk.
Welcome to the Spooky Mansion! This place will only be opened for the Halloween Event and it is your chance to catch some pretty cool Pokemon. However, you must be careful and lucky in order to land on your desired Pokemon.
Rules - You may only enter the mansion with one Pokemon from your team. Once you have chosen your Pokemon, you will not be allowed to use or switch to another Pokemon. You can enter alone or enter with another student. Entering the mansion with another student allows you to receive help out of traps or even help in battles, meaning that you do not have to do a punishment post(post without a roll) like you originally would have if you go alone and do not have a partner. There is also no limit on how many people can be in a group. For every post you make in this thread (excluding battle posts), roll ONE 10-sided dice and depending on where you land, the following will occur:
1) Pumpkaboo appears (catchable) 2) Pokémon is Paralyze by a skeleton jumping out at you! (cured if Partner rubs your back, otherwise you cannot roll a dice for your next post) 3) Zubat/Woobat/Gligar appears (you may choose only one, catchable) 4) Attacked by a wild Houndour! (Partner can help you batt otherwise you must post one battle post, uncatchable) 5) Spinark/Joltik appears (you may choose only one, catchable) 6) Caught in spider webs! (Partner can help you escape, otherwise you cannot roll a dice for your next post) 7) Phantump appears (catchable) 8 ) Hypno and Drowzee start playing tricks on you! Hypno hypnotizes you and Drowzee puts you to sleep (you may choose either sleep or hypnotize; Partner can help you escape, otherwise you cannot roll a dice for your next post; uncatchable) 9) Haunter appears to cause mischief! (not catchable) 10) Zorua appears (catchable)
A partner can help you battle against wild Pokemon. Every person has their own roll, but nonetheless a partner can still help their friend out of jam. One last thing...there might a surprise waiting for the students brave enough to enter the mansion that is not mentioned in the rules so watch out for when the opportunity rises.
Each dice roll result is tied to the individual not to a group. If a person lands on a trap or is attacked by one of the wild not-catchable pokemon then their partner may assist them by either rescuing them from the trap or helping them battle. When a player decides to assist their friend then they are still allowed to roll a dice for their post; however, the player must assist their partner first and then react to the result of their dice roll. Sharing catchable pokemon encounters is not allowed. Every player must continue to roll a dice to encounter their desired pokemon even when they are part of a group.

ffffff↬Once Spirit Day fun was announced, Phoebe left right away to the Haunted Mansion. Rumor had it that there was some pokemon there that they could catch and she was curious. If Ichigo wanted to join her, he could try to follow her. Phoebe couldn't help but run out of the class in excitement after the two of them changed into their handmade costumes. Maybe they'd even get a prize from the costume contest later! Right now, however, her main focus was getting a new pokemon on her team.
After getting a little lost, Phoebe managed to find the correct location. It was scary looking on the outside, and she was getting nervous about how scary it would inside. At the bottom of the stairs was a woman, dressed as a maid, who was greeting the visitors of the mansion. There also seemed to be some rules about the mansion as well. One of them being only one pokemon out of their ball. Phoebe looked down to Rosie in her bag, and decided quickly that it would be Fireball who went in with her. The poor bud pokemon looked terrified of the building! She withdrew her back into her pokeball before going up the stairs with Fireball. "Let's do this," she said to him with a smile. He smiled back, 'Char!'
The front door opened with a creak, and Phoebe peered into the manor. Taking in a small breath, she went inside and looked around. She was certainly feeling creeped out by the decorations. A part of her wondered if it was like this year-around or just during Spirit Day. Phoebe hoped it was the latter, as the idea of this place being so terrifying all year just scared her a little more. She let Fireball take the lead, as his tail would hopefully give them a bit more light. Though, it'd also be nice if he scared away some of the more mischievous pokemon away.

ffffff↬Pheobe wasn't looking where she was going, and walked right into a giant web! She let out a scream, which startled Fireball, and quickly tried to get it all off of her. The feeling of the web sticking to her was absolutely making her skin crawl. Pulling and throwing it off, Phoebe was out of breath by the time she thought she got it all off. Then, she felt something on her back, and the hysteria continued. Fireball quickly tried to move his tail for her to see what it was on her, but it seemed that there was nothing. The movement she felt was just because she was so terrified due to the event.
After taking a few deep breaths, she nodded to her pokemon in thanks. Phoebe sat down for a moment to regain herself, having become a little tired from the hysteria. 'Char,' Fireball said with a point back towards the door. Phoebe just shook her head and got back up, "I'm going back just because of little scare. We can do this!" He seemed confident with her statement, and moved to continue down the hall. She was quick to follow.

ffffff↬As the two continued on their path, Phoebe heard a familiar sound. It was one she sometimes heard at night while back home in Kanto. Looking around, she spotted the pokemon. Zubat had not seen them, and she honestly didn't want to go after it. The no eyes part tended to creep her out a little, though she had no ill thoughts towards the Zubat. It was just she wanted to leave the creepy feelings behind at the mansion when she left. While she wanted to maybe have one in the future, it would take a bit of time for her to adjust to the idea before catching one.
Carefully motioning to Fireball, Phoebe pointed towards another hallway. The two carefully moved away from the bat pokemon before it could locate them. There was a moment when Phoebe thought it had noticed them, but it seemed much more interested in the scrap of food it had found instead. A part of her wondered where the food had came from, but she soon shook the thought off. Knowing her luck, she'd run into another web if she got too wrapped up in her thoughts.

ffffff↬Phoebe and Fireball stopped in their tracks when they heard an unfamiliar sound from the shadows. Fireball was the first to react, taking up a battle stance to protect his trainer. The two prepared for what would step out of the shadows, but never would of expected what did. It was a Charmeleon! Confused, Phoebe looked around to see if there was another trainer near by, as she doubted that this pokemon lived in the mansion. While she did that, Fireball looked with suspicious interest at the other pokemon, unsure of exactly what it was. He looked between the other pokemon and his trainer, waiting for either a command or movement. The latter came first.
The Charmeleon came closer to them, and Fireball instinctively let out an ember of fire from his mouth as a warming to the other pokemon. That's when the two saw it, the real pokemon. Just for a second, the appearance changed into that of a black and red fox pokemon she had never seen before. What confused her was how it took Fireball's form. She was sure that was something only a Ditto could do! No matter the case, the battle was about to get on. Phoebe decided that instead of knocking the pokemon out, she'd try to catch it. She felt this was a rare meeting, and even if it wasn't she wanted to befriend and learn more about this mysterious pokemon!

ffffff↬Fireball moved to get ready for the battle and Phoebe took a few steps back to give a bit of space. She had no idea what moves this pokemon could do, so she wanted to make sure Fireball had more than enough room to dodge if needed. "Okay, Fireball," Phoebe said as she pointed towards the fake Charmeleon, "start off by using Smokescreen!" Fireball opened his mouth as a ball of smoke shot out of it. When the ball touched the ground around the other pokemon, it erupted into smoke. This would hopefully make it so the other pokemon would have a harder time landing a hit on Fireball.
The fake Charmeleon tried their best to clear out the smoke before letting out an attack of their own. Their Pursuit was a success, and Fireball had to take a second to stand straight again. "Hit them with an Ember! You can do it," cheered Phoebe. With the confidence of his trainer, Fireball opened his mouth and shot out a ball of flame at the fake. It hit, but only barely. It seemed the other pokemon took the chance to move over some while Fireball was getting back onto his feet.
"Right, try using Dragon Rage," she said as she watched her pokemon. Fireball opened his mouth once again, charging up his attack. The fake, on the other hand, took this chance to use Sucker Punch. It was another hit, but Fireball grabbed the other pokemon's hand to keep them there. Dragon Rage was a direct hit to the other's body. It had enough force to knock the Charmeleon back into the smoke. "That was great, Fireball," exclaimed Phoebe as she smiled to her partner pokemon. He looked pleased with himself. Looking back towards the smoke, Phoebe was shocked to see what came out. It was the true form of the pokemon! Quickly, she got out her Pokedex and scanned them. "Zorua," she said to herself before looking at Fireball, "Let's do this!"

ffffff↬Now that Zorua had revealed her true form, Phoebe studied it more. She was small with black and red fur. There was something about her eyes that made her think that the pokemon's nature had to be mischevious. She'd almost be willing to bet that it was. The Zorua's body was that of a fox, but maybe a bit bigger. It looked to be a little under a foot shorter than Fireball, who was also inspecting his current rival in battle.
"Okay," she said after a minute, "use Ember again!" Fireball repeated what he did before, but scowled when he saw his attacked missed. It seemed the Zorua was prepared for his attack this time. She moved quickly to try and hit him again with another Pursuit, but Fireball was also prepared for the attack. He swiftly moved to the side as the pokemon came at him. "Quickly, use Scratch," Phoebe said as she watched. Fireball did as he was told and quickly connected his claws with the Zorua's body. It sent it back some again, but this time she managed to stay on her feet.
The Zorua used Sucker Punch once again and landed the hit on Fireball's stomach. The force of the move sent him back some, but not before he tried to swipe another Scratch at her in defense. It was a miss, but Phoebe praised him still, "It was a good idea, Fireball! Use Dragon Rage again." 'Char,' he said in agreement before opening his mouth to charge the attack. The Zorua saw this and tried to rush him with another Pursuit before the attack finished charging. She was a few seconds late on that, and in turn got hit straight on by the Dragon Rage. "Right on," cheered Phoebe, who was proud of Fireball's growth in battle.

ffffff↬The Zorua panted in exhaustion from the battle. Though, Fireball was almost at the same point. Pheobe nodded her head to herself, agreeing with her thoughts. She quickly looked through her bag for the empty pokeball and held it close for a second. She really hoped that the Zorua would join her team, as she was already so fascinated by the fox pokemon. Phoebe wanted nothing more than to learn more about it and become friends with her one day. With a deep breath, she tossed the pokeball at the Zorua.
The pokeball wobbled for what seemed like forever before it finally clicked. Phoebe knelt down and held Fireball close as she cheered for their victory. Quickly, she moved to grab the pokeball and held the ball close to her. "I think I'll call her.. Artemis. Do you think that'll fit her, Fireball," Pheobe asked as she stood up, looking down at him. He smiled back up at her and nodded his head. She smiled back at him, "Let's get out of here and meet her."
It took them a few minutes to find their way back out, almost running into a Haunter along the way. Phoebe was not wanting that battle, and would even carry Fireball to get out of there faster if it noticed them. They soon arrived back at the front doors of the mansion. The air outside was still cool, but bearable to Phoebe. Though, if it got any colder she'd need to get a jacket. Moving down the steps, she waved goodbye to the woman at the bottom of the stairs. On the lawn, Pheobe let out her new pokemon and scanned it again with her Pokedex for more details. She also let Rosie out to greet their new teammate. "Welcome to the team, Zorua! I hope you don't mind it if I nickname you Artemis," she said as she knelt down to them. The dark type shook her head and looked at the other two pokemon as Phoebe made sure she wasn't badly hurt.

Ava felt super cool strolling towards the party like a stealthy little Ninjask. Bug pokemon were so cool! The first thing about the scene that caught her attention, however, was a creepy looking mansion. She immediately headed towards it to check it out. The red haired woman gave off some seriously creepy vibes. Who was they? And what would they do? Only one pokemon was allowed out of their ball right now, which was fine with Ava since she only had one. There were some kids with two or even three, but Ava was looking around for some cool bug types. "I'm not scared!" Ava told the woman before making her way inside.
Fritz, on the other hand, was terrified.
The little bug was clinging onto the yellow portion of Ava's hood, a bright yellow speck on the golden fabric. Why did the always have to do the creepy or scary things first? Why couldn't they just stay at home for once? As the two were walking, something jumped out from a corridor!

A tall, bony skeleton lunged out at the two. Ava and Fritz both screamed, jumping back towards the wall. Ava gasped for air at first, though began to laugh a little. This all was a lot of fun for her, even if it meant getting scared a little. Fritz, was frozen in place, panting quietly."You good, Fritz?"she asked, scooping him into the palm of her gloved hand. The poor thing was practically frozen in fear! She sat down on the creaky, wooden floor, concerned about him. "Fritz? You ok?"She gently rubbed the top of his head with her finger. They were such opposites sometimes. While she liked being social and trying new things, he seemed very quiet and nervous about things. Why was that?
"Hey, hey, it's ok. It won't hurt you, see?" Ava stood up, poking at the realistic looking skull with her hands. It was all fake, but that was the fun of it. At least Ava saw it that way. "You're not in danger, don't worry... We can leave if you want?" As the shock wore off, Fritz began to move around a little more. He shook his tiny body, indicating the beckoning corridor before them as opposed to the door behind them. "Tik tik." (Let's just keep going.) He was regaining the feeling in his legs. Ava stood on up, letting Fritz make his way back on top of her head before walking further, though a little slower now, as to watch for what may be coming next.

Ava continued strolling through the manor. This place was super creepy. Old styled paintings of people and pokemon decorated the walls. Ava swore that she saw some of their eyes move! Were they watching? Were they ghosts? The lighting was dim, flickering from time to time. There was the odd feeling that they were being watched. A chill ran down the girl's spine as she could hear the occasional scream of what sounded like other students. This place was massive, but the walls felt almost paper thin!
Ava found herself in what seemed like an old timey office. Yuck! She really didn't enjoy being in those. Caked in dust and super quiet, plus everything smelled like super old paper. She looked over some of the books on the desk: Potions and Poisons: A Primer and The Intricacies of Raising the Dead sat out on the desk, right beside one of those quill and ink pen things. Gosh, this was a creepy place.Ava shuddered. "Let's get out of this room, Fritz..." Adjusting one of her wings, Ava made her way for one of the other entrances to this little study. She didn't want to stick around to see who these books belonged to!

Ava looked back to the books as she exited the study. Who would wanna read something like that? Not watching where she was going, Ava ran straight into a spider web! She let out a small squeal, struggling to escape the web she ended up in. After a bit of struggle, she managed to free herself, though still had web all over her. "Yuck! Fritz, did you do this?" The little bug shook in the negative. He had been on her head this whole time! "Joltik!"(Not me!) Ava, peeling pieces of web off of her, shrugged. It was a pretty large web; Fritz was so small! "Probably not... You're pretty tiny, Fritz. Plus yours get a little static-y."
The web stuck to her clothes something awful. Ava stood outside the study, taking some time to pick it off her. Not knowing where to put it, she just flicked it against the wall for the time being. It was certainly a lot better than having it all over her costume! Ninjasks didn't produce webs! She was able to get the majority of it off of her and onto the surrounding walls. There was a little that had coated her wings, blending in with the silver portions of it. "Well if that wasn't you... what made it?"That seemed to be the question. For now, Ava continued walking. Maybe they'd find the answer nearby.

Ava felt as though there were bugs crawling all over her. Or, she felt as though there were more than usual. As she reached to feel for what was on her shoulder, she only found more of that spider web, smearing it onto the floor for someone else to step in. "Who made that web?" she called out into the emptiness. She wasn't expecting to get a response, but actually did. It was nothing like what she was expecting to hear though. "Pumpka! Pumpka!" "Huh?" Ava turned down the hall to find a small little... well, Ava honestly wasn't sure exactly what it was at first. It was kinda cute.
Ava pulled out her pokedex, taking the time to scan it. She recalled she had an assignment to do with scanning pokemon outside. Honestly, she had been slacking a little, but finding every single pokemon out here was a little tough! Maybe some of these would make up for it. Apparently, this was a Pumpkaboo, the Pumpkin Pokemon. "It is said to carry... wandering spirits to the place where they belong so they can move on? Jeez, this thing is creepy." As she said that, the Pumpkaboo began to more towards her. Ava stepped back. "Ooooh no. Don't bring those spirits near me now!" Ava quickly began walking in the other direction. Whatever those spirits wanted with her, Ava was 100% not about. She went in whatever possible direction to get away from that thing.
