Zindel couldn't really believe what happened. The Queen, the officers-- It was unreal, though not unwelcome. He'd been offered a job by the highest of the high. If that didn't mean something, nothing would. Exiting the Queen's hive, Zindel tugged some at his scarf, looking around the area with nervous eyes as he felt himself fall back into his anxiety and nervousness. He could freak out about everything on the train ride home. Right now, he had to be wary he didn't bump into any unwanted troll. He may have just gotten an important job opportunity, but if he didn't live until the end of the night, it would all go to waste.

As far as Tamiya was concerned, cloud nine was her new hive. She floated out of the meeting block (well, relatively floated, given her size and garb) and made her way through the numerous extravagant coordidors to exit the premises. Her first order of business was, of course, to call upon Sinter. He was a no-brainer for the Queen’s cause. Frankly – she could hardly believe this thought – he and her were near equals when it came to deserving such a post. It was a shame that the Queen could not see his righteousness first-hand.

As she mused, Tamiya happened to catch a slash of something red leaving the hive. Blinking thoughts of her moirail away, Tamiya followed. Ah, yes. The dancer. Chiara’s dancer.

Her lips pursed. She had time to spare before she got home and contacted Sinter, after all. Slowly skirting up to the door, Tamiya observed him for a moment before making her decision. He was acting shifty – and the Queen certainly wasn’t forthcoming about his presence. Chiara, of course, was not one to be trusted. The dinner was evidence enough, even had Tamiya not tangled with her previously. What good could he be? But, on the other hand, the Queen was to be trusted. And Tamiya would get to the bottom of her intentions at this very moment.

The door slammed open as Tamiya rushed out of the hive. “You!” she called in Zindel’s direction.

Zindel was startled when he heard a loud slam. Flinching and turning around, searching for the trouble he could avoid, the redblood realized it was the purpleblooded juggalo from the earlier meeting. Zindel tensed. Weren't all the officers supposed to be gone already? Regina had asked him to stay a bit longer to discuss stuff, maybe she'd been held up? Or maybe she'd been waiting for him. Zindel hoped it'd been the latter. A call in his direction made his eyes widen and his pump biscuit pound in his chest. Without a single word, he turned around and continued walking. Maybe she hadn't been talking to him. Maybe there was another troll, a highblood nearby, someone else she needed that wasn't him. It couldn't possibly have referred to only him, there were a lot of people there and Zindel didn't want to die so fast.

Tamiya advanced. Perhaps the troll hadn’t heard him. Perhaps instinctively, she reached for her side. The clacking of her footwear against the grounds was sound enough to harken her motion – but the bellow that followed made it very apparent who her target was.

“YOU!” She repeated. “********. BLUSTERPANTS.” Tamiya broke into a brisk walk, or what some might consider a canter. No conversation with Tamiya could be separated from the definition of a confrontation. This one – as innocent as it was in Tamiya’s thinkpan – was no exception.

Zindel's bilesack churned. Hearing a very direct and very calling-out yell, the red blood could feel sweat building on the back of his neck. She was calling him out, she really was. Blusterpants made it obvious— he was pretty sure he was the only one with pants like his own— Unless, there were others? No, no, her eyes were trained directly on him, but Zindel didn't want to stop moving. He hated confrontation, and her moving toward him felt like the start of a very bad daymare. He continued to move quickly, throwing a glance at her direction before continuing to move away. She had to give up on talking to him sometime.

Something was wrong. Instead of turning around, or simply rushing back at her with equal vigor, the troll made no such effort to engage. He simply walked faster.

Tamiya broke into a sprint. If this troll was hard of hearing she'd simply alert him to her presence with a tap on the shoulder or simply by piledriving into him. She extended her arm, golden fingers outstretched and glistening in the moonlight.

She was running. Zindel could feel the hairs on his neck stand on edge. He was panicking now, and his movements turned into a run right before her claws could ensnare him. Zindel sped forward, almost bumping into another troll in the crowd in his efforts to stay away. He wasn't ready to die, he really wasn't.

Tamiya slowed. "Jinglefool! Turn and face me at once!" She suggested. Her festive redblood would never retreat. Why had the Queen chosen this spineless nub? Was conversation so abhorrent that he could not face it? Perhaps he should try his hand at combat. She was beginning to wear from the chase, even fueled by adrenaline.

Zindel wanted to cry. He'd always found the juggalos scary and nerve wracking since the first time he'd seen them preaching their blasphemy. He'd never bothered to care for their religion, and kept as far away from it as he could, usually. But now it was chasing after him. He froze when she told him to face her, anxiety biting at his insides-- She seemed to be tiring out, though, so maybe there was hope for him yet! Zindel pressed his lips together tightly, and kept on walking.

Tamiya's frustration mounted. Between the exhilaration of the meeting and being snubbed by this redblood, her mood was dancing dangerously on the edge of chaos. She felt a snarl curl across her face. Her focus tightened almost painfully, until there was a knot at the front of her thinkpan. She had yet to master her abilities, or even fully understand them. But there was no denying that allowing her own suffering to build would be of no help to her.

There was a simple solution, and that was to weaponize her impatience - her built up stress and embarrassment from this lowblood treating her like she didn't even exist. Despicable. Tamiya focused, and felt the pain in her mind crumple away as it met its new target.

He kept walking, long legs easily creating more distance between the two as Zindel continued to pretend he didn't hear anything. He only came to an abrupt stop when images, haunting, creepy, terrifying images flooded his mind abruptly, eyes focusing on nothing as his hands rose to clench his head. He saw pictures, images he couldn't really describe, terrifying enough to make his skin crawl and his blood run cold. He released a mangled whimper and crumpled to the ground, curling into himself, extremely silent and unmoving. He lightly shook from fear, eyes flashing purple as his mind was overridden by the thoughts overwhelming him all at once. All at once it was over, but he hadn't even noticed, still trying to piece himself back together little by little. He definitely couldn't move now.

Tamiya's mind began to clear as the last of her powers dispersed in favor of the redblood's vulnerable thinkpan. She pressed two unmarred fingers to the bridge of her nose and took a deep breath. No more running. Just friendly talking.

She straightened herself and strode to where he was crumpled on the ground. A twitch of the lip, and Tamiya cleared her throat as though the reason for Zindel's cold shoulder was merely a lack of hearing - and not existential terror.

There was no reason to be afraid, after all.

He was still curled on the ground as the last of it wore off. Zindel's eyesight blurred, body still shaking as his breathing steadied, but his mind wasn't over it just yet. It was going over it once more, trying to piece together just what had happened, where that'd come from. He hadn't noticed he was crying until the sound of a throat clearing pulled him out of his daze. Zindel looked up, startled, and immediately shrunk into himself as he stared up at the juggalo in fear. He scrambled backwards slightly, finding it only logical that she had something to do with what happened to him. "I-I'm s-s-sorry, I-I'm, I-I'm--" He was hiccuping now, breathing unsteadily and staring blankly upwards as he attempted to inch away from the purpleblood. He wanted to go.

Sniveling now. Tamiya was growing tired of all this, though his weak little face and beautiful features were intoxicating in their pitiableness. What a delightful defense mechanism. She'd seen it plenty of times, and -- as ******** would have it -- it worked on her just about every damn time.

This time at least, she had to ensure that (if not incapacitated) Zindel could not get away. Lifting up a leg, Tamiya brought down a heavy wedge geta on Zindel's front to keep him in place.
