"Svana."
Kluna said the name as though she were tasting it and seeming to find it of acceptable taste she grinned. It seemed the new Warlord would be down to earth, at least for the time being, refreshing.
When Kluna received the shrug she took it for exactly what it was, there was no reason to read into it any further as all members had their own thresholds of tolerance and the expectation from her was to see that the new Warlord could handle her own - it may be simple things, but so far she was impressed. "So you've sought an audience to find out how we work?" The dark lioness was amused and gently shifted her position for better comfort. "Well, I am responsible for maintaining our stocks and supplies of various medicines - primarily the herbs. Here we also endeavor to train the youthful priestess' that come forward with even the smallest amount of interest or ability."
The thoughts of all the above were driving a wedge into her mood, where had Stylter gone, on tours he'd be there to display some of the material or blab on. She was beginning to understand just how useful her companion was.
"Of course, as you may have guessed we mend any pride member who has fallen ill or to injury. This could mean any number of things, whether it be physical or spiritual. You will hopefully be seeing a higher volume of priestess' during your reign - seeing how a number of youth are beginning to reach their adolescent years we may grow in size." That was her personal hope, sure she had little desire to train any youth, but the need of the pride out weighed that. It would be a priority to begin to sow the seeds of their work as priestesses for one day they may be in her place. There weren't many to take such a challenge just yet, but who knew.
"Is it what you expected?" Her eyes looked to Svana quizzically, unsure if she had touched all aspects of her purposes here, but hoped she had at least settled the mind of her company.

Svana listened attentivly as the High priestess spoke. She also continued to look around, examining the various and sundry supplies that were obviously on display around the cave. Of course she knew the basics of the priestesses, what they did and why, it was part of their pride culture after all, but now that she was Warlord, Svana rather suspected there was a lot more that she hadn't known and that she needed to know to be a successful leader. It wasn't all glory and gold after all, running a pride this large took work. Lots of it.
Nodding along as Kluna spoke, Svana grinned. "I know of several young lionesses who have shown an interest in your profession. No idea if they will eventually train as a priestess, but the interest is there at least." She commented. She was all for youngsters going into the non-militant ranks, though if any showed interest in being reaver, the females especially, Svana was always quick to encourage them. And would happily if not very subtally point them at the possibility of being Captain one day.
"Pretty much." She agreed readily. "I was pressent for a few of the bigger blessings and a couple of weddings, and of course I've seen my fair share for healing and predictions." It was common for a Captain to seek out a priestess for a blessing or a prediction for a viking they were planning. Svana was no exception.
But she was not here just to ask questioins and pass the time, she also had a job to do herself. "Aside from an uptake of youngsters to teach, is there anything you and your priestesses need?
