Whoever his host family was, they had no idea that Alaka'i wasn't a foreign exchange student from the Pacific Islands. He stood at the pier with his bags all packed and ready to go, wearing swim trunks and a tank top, knowing full-well that he was early. So, he went to the payphone. Alaka'i had studied all he could about the human world so that he would fit in seamlessly.

A smirk crossed his face when they picked up and he answered in Maori. "Ko Alaka'i tenei. Ko wawe ahau. Ka taea e haere mai koe te tiki ake i ahau?" After a pause of confusion, he spoke in clear English. "This is Alaka'i. My plane arrived early and I am here at the pier. Should I just enjoy the beach for awhile, or can you come pick me up?" He asked his host family on the other end... "I had a good trip. Long fight, but it was good... no problem. I'll be waiting." Hanging up, he looked about for something to do while he waited.

Patricia finally made it to the pier. She had come to pick up a foreign exchange student. She was excited to have another person in the house. She was glad that the boy, who's name she was still scared of saying, had made it there safely from the Pacific Islands. She walked forward, looking around for anyone who might be Alaka'i. She spotted a green-haired male who was looking around, and he didn't look like he was from around here. That must be him... She thought, starting to walk towards him. It was a little bit odd to be taking in an exchange student right after moving there, but what could she say? She loved helping people, and she was happy to take the boy in. "Hello? Are you Alaka'i?" She asked with a warm smile.

Turning at the sound of his name, his face lit up in recognition and he waved. Alaka'i made his way over to the red-headed woman. "Thank you for meeting me here. I hope it wasn't too much trouble." The woman had a kind face. "Thank you for letting me stay with you and your family. I really appreciate it."

She smiled at his politeness. "You're very welcome." She turned around and started walking towards her car. "Come on! I want you to meet my husband, and my daughter will probably be home soon as well. I hope you'll like it here." She said as she got into the car and started it, waiting for him to come in.

Alaka'i followed her lead to the car and got in on the passenger side. "I look forward to meeting them." He assured her with a smile. "What are they like?" Meeting his new family would be easier to prepare for if he knew a little about their backgrounds before meeting them.

She turned her body to look at him. "Well, my husband, MIcheal, is... how to put it, a very serious man. But, don't be intimidated by him. He's a very kind person." She explained with a smile. "My daughter is Amethyst. She'll want you to call her Amy though. She's shy at first, but don't worry. The more you get to know her, the more fun she is to be around." She turned back around to face the front, and drove off towards home.

Nodding that he understood, he watched out the window as they pulled away from the pier. "I'm not worried. My mother put enough fear into growing up to keep me from misbehaving. Now behaving is a habit." Looking back to her when she spoke of Amy, he smiled a little. "I can relate to that. You can call me Alec if Alaka'i is too difficult for you to pronounce." He offered, knowing his name was a little difficult.

-She looked at the crew, and knew then and there they were honest about the promise they had made.- "This is a new life, a way to start again. Don't give up on yourselves. You can do this!" She shouted to them. -She went to walk away when she ran into her co-captain Crimson.- "Will that suffice?"She asked as they headed off the pier the crew mates cheering behind them. -She threw a stern look in there direction and they became quiet.- *exits*

Daisy and toad had barely gotten down the pier when alot of shadows appeared out of nowhere,"Oh no whats that!", said toad freaking out as he bundled up behind the princess as she glared at the figures,"I dont know but those strange shadows aren't looking friendly... I think they mean to hurt us...", she shoved her gloved hand forward and said,"Flower circle!!", and a flower shaped circle went forward and shot towards the shadows the ones that got hit dissolved upon impact and daisy said,"They are trouble! My flower circle only hurts bad things like goomba's", she informed toad who was freaking out screaming.

BGM: Battle (Final Fantasy 1: Origins Version)

Ivo arrived at the Pier with Peach & just in time too as the Shadows soon stopped marching toward Daisy and Toad then drew their attention to Ivo and headed right towards her Peach, stay behind me! Ivo loaded her bow and fired her arrows at the 3 shadows, hitting them directly which caused them to dissolve. I'll take care of these Shadows, Peach! Get Daisy & her friend then bring them to car, and cover you! Once you find Daisy and your friend then bring them to the car, we can get back to the house! After we get back to the house, I'll look up the strange shadows on my computer! Ivo watched her back as 3 more shadows spawned in from behind her, Ivo aimed her bow at the shadows then struck them down with the arrows, causing them to fade, then Ivo provided an escort for Peach while keeping her safe from the Shadows until Ivo and Peach reached Daisy & her friend. Are you two okay? I'm Ivodora Proudmore, but you two can call me Ivo. What are your names?

Peach raced forward into the rain as her friends were being attacked from all sides by the monsters,"Daisy!!", she called out as her heels clicked recklessly on the pier; Daisy in the middle of throwing out another flower circle found herself face to face with peach,'There you are!! How you know where to find us!", asked her friend astonished as Toad ran crying to peach who picked him up like a child and quieted him down with his reckless crying,"There is this device called a tv and it showed you and toad coming out of your magic flower", she told her. As peach turned she heard ivo as her friend seemed to have defeated the current shadows,"Wow thanks!", she told her gratefully,"This is my friend Princess Daisy and this is Toad", she said holding up the small man before Ivo,"They are from my world and the toads serve me", she explained,"I have another title besides princess peach its Princess Toadstool", she explained. Daisy held out a hand to shake ivo's,"Hello there!! Its very nice to meet you! Thank you for saving peach has a mean scaly monster beast been around her?", she asked with a raised brow; Peach made an astonished worried expression,"Is bowser here?!?", she asked looking rather terrified as she looked about the place. Daisy shrugged her shoulders,"Not sure I thought he may have sent that portal to trick you and grab you up but it seems it was someone elses doing or he would be here by now..", said daisy thoughtfully.

Nice to meet you, Daisy & Toad. Anyway, we can look up those shadows, once we get back to my place. Please follow me to the car and we need to hurry before more of those shadows appear. Ivo escorted Peach, Toad and Daisy while using her practice bow and arrows to protect them from the shadows until they reached the car. Everybody, get inside the car and buckle up! Ivo helped Peach and her 2 friends into the car, buckled up then drove back back to Ivo's house where Peach, Daisy and Toad would be safe.
