Pepper, a month old German Shepherd/Wolf hybrid, was with her mother/father (Wasn't sure which you were going to play.) was in her owner's home, her mother/father's owner was at work but knew his pet would be able to care for Pepper on their own. Pepper was the only surviving puppy of this litter since her other siblings were too sick to survive outside of the womb. Pepper however was a fighter and fought off the disease, even though she was the smallest of all of them, meaning she was the runt of the litter. She was currently sleeping cuddled up to her mommy/daddy. Pepper had odd coloring since she was white with Black patches of fur on her little body but she was really beautiful and sweet. One of the sweetest hybrids one would ever meet.

► Bullet ◄

Bullet, was a wolf that had been captured from the wild and brought in to dog fights. Eventually he was rescued by his current owner who had a Shepherd, that became his lover. The two had a litter of pups together but sadly all but one died to illness. The surviving pup, Pepper, was curled up against him as the two lay in one of the dog beds. Pepper meant the world to him, just like he had been, Pepper was a runt. Now though, Bullet was only about an inch smaller than most wolves. His ears twitch a bit hearing something outside but ignored it, it was hard for him to adjust to this new life style, but he did his best for his Lovers sake, and now, for Pepper.

Sandy, Bullet's mate, was on the other side of Pepper sleeping with her family. It had been about an hour and a half since Pepper fell asleep, so she would wake up at any time. As Pepper woke up, she buried her face in Bullet's side as she didn't want to wake up yet. Sandy woke up hearing something outside as well. She went to the window seeing someone trying to break into the house. She started growling before she went to warn Bullet. "Wake up love. Someone's trying to break in." She said in dog language as she heard the door opening.

Hearing what Sandy said about someone trying to break in, Bullet gently nudged Pepper a bit before standing up. "You stay with Pepper, I can handle it." he said giving a small lick on Sandy's head. Heading over to the door a growl in his throat, Bullet let out a vicious bark as the door started to open and he took a fighting stance. If the man still insisted on entering, Bullet wouldn't hesitate to attack the man.

The man who was breaking in was after pepper since he was their owner's supposed friend. He'd been hatching this plan ever since Pepper was born. He would have to get passed bullet though but he had a gun if necessary. As he entered the door, he pulled out a steak, knowing all dogs loved meat. He tossed it over in another direction watching bullet from under his mask as he then saw Sandy moving Pepper to a hiding place. Pepper was shaking as they moved from their warm bed. Poor Pepper was so scared that she couldn't help but whimper a bit. Sandy placed her down and said "Go under the bed and don't come out until we say so sweetie." as she pushed Pepper under the bed as the man came into the house and started looking around.

Bullet ignored the meat that the man had thrown, did he really think that that would work in a case like this. Bullet had been trained to kill, to protect his owner, now his family was on the line. As the man entered, Bullet recognized the scent as a man that came around a few times, one of the owners friends. Even then he knew that something wasn't right and he jumped at the man sharp teeth ready to break the mans skin. He didn't care if he was injured, it was Sandy and Pepper that worried him, if either of them got hurt... it wouldn't be a pretty sight.

Sandy started growling and barking at the man as the alarm was going off in the background. Eventually the man ran away without Pepper and swore to himself he'd get that pup one way or the other. Sandy went right to Bullet and said "Are you okay love? You hurt at all?" She said licking his wound gently as she did when he first arrived. Pepper poked her head out and ran to her parents crying. Sandy nuzzled Pepper and said "Shhhh it's okay little one." before she looked at Bullet with worried eyes.

Bullet watched as the man left, anger in his eyes, though that changed as Sandy came over since he didn't want to cause anymore worry. Looking at Sandy he nuzzled her head lighting when she licked his scar "Yeah I'm fine, what about you two?" he asked with concern glancing down at Pepper for a moment. The last thing he wanted was to go into a state of rage, that triggered the fighter dog he had been trained to be. Even then his instinct would kick in to protect his pack, which was now his daughter and lover.

Sandy's tail wagged as she said "We're both fine." Pepper went over to Bullet and whimpered a bit saying "Dada......." as it was all she was able to say at the time. poor thing was so scared out of her mind that you could see her shaking. Luckily their owner would be home soon and would discover that the door was still open but nothing was missing and that Bullet, Sandy, and Pepper were all okay.

Bullet licked Pepper's head seeing her shaking, "It's alright, I'll always protect you." he spoke warmly to the pup. After a few minutes the door knob turned once more, Bullet's gaze quickly shifting onto it and he stood between the door and his family. The male owner Ryan, entered the home quickly going over to the noisy alarm and shutting it off before letting out a small sigh then looking at his dogs and smiling a bit, kneeling down. "Are you all, alright?" he asked, he knew the dogs couldn't actually speak, but they always seemed to understand him, they meant everything to him. They were kind and loyal and always there when he needed them.

Sandy wagged her tail at Ryan happily as she always did when he got home. Pepper went over to Ryan and barked at him knowing how much he loved to hold her. Her tail wagged as she loved playing with Ryan. Pepper was so sweet as she looked at their owner wanting to play. Sandy sat next to Bullet nuzzling her head under his.

Bullet sat down as Sandy sat next to him and gently leaned on him. It was odd, he never imagined he would have a family after he was taken from the wild he thought he would be in the dog fighting for the rest of his life. Bullet nuzzled Sandy lightly glad to have been saved and brought to such a wonderful dog.

Smiling as Pepper came over, Ryan gently rubbed Pepper's head, and picked her up. "Did you scare them away?" he said playfully. He knew that basically everyone ran at the sight of Bullet, and he couldn't really blame them. Bullet was a wolf, and the scar on his shoulder shows his past battles. Ryan placed Pepper back onto the ground, "Go get a toy. Go on." Ryan said happily. Pepper was so adorable, he always loved playing with her, always letting her win tug-a-war, or playing fetch for as long as she wanted.

Pepper quickly got her favorite tug-of-war toy and brought it to Ryan wagging her little tail as the toy dragged at her feet. She was so small compared to most puppies her age but that came from being the runt who was given a death sentence from birth and over came it. Sandy couldn't help but feel proud of their little pup. Even if all the others were stillborn, she was proud of little Pepper for being their little girl. Sandy would do anything for Bullet and Pepper. She wanted Bullet to always love his family and feel at home. She still remembered the day he came here. She loved him from the moment she saw him, though she felt the feeling wasn't mutual at first. Who would have guessed that they could have spawned such a beautiful pup. Pepper then started growling as she played with Ryan shaking her head and trying to drat away whenever he would pull back.

It had taken a while for Bullet to get use to the idea of living here, he had had thoughts of running away, but when he was brought here he wasn't in very good condition. Not only that, but he also didn't know where his pack now was. It had taken him a while to recover, and all that time Sandy had been there, kind and caring. Looking at Pepper he spoke "We've come a long way haven't we." he spoke quietly not really to anyone.

Ryan playfully tugged lightly back at the toy then let go "You got your father's strength." he said playfully. Ryan had tried teaching Bullet tug-of-war, or what any of the toys were for. It was sad to see how confused he had been, not knowing what to do with it, he would just look at it. Eventually, with help from Sandy, Bullet had figured it out and almost pulled Ryan's arm out of it's socket.

Sandy smiled hearing Bullet's comment. "I'd say you've come a very long way from when you first arrived here." She said licking his cheek happily. Pepper was now playing keep away with Ryan. Though like all puppies she ran sideways and was still getting used to her legs but was coordinated enough to run somewhat straight. She then wagged her tail with him in the play with me pose as she ran from him before she ran at him and tackled him right in the stomach to try and knock him over.
