Once upon a dream
Effy sat in front of a large but cracked and filthy vanity that was littered with makeup. She gently dabbed a sponge dipped in pale foundation against her right eye, trying to conceal a bruise her lovely ring master had left last night after he scolded her for messing up one of her parts during rehearsal. A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she tried to make it disappear as best as she could but a bit of the bruise still showed through. Shrugging it off, Effy continued to put on the rest of her makeup. fake eyelashes, mascara, eyeliner, the whole lot. She made it look beautiful and theatric. Smiling slight at her work, the girl stood from the seat and made her way out of the dressing tent. She was wearing her costume along with black oxford heels, strolling along the path, observing her coworkers setting up the side shows before the main events. She stared at the cats that held the treats given to customers. Popcorn, cotton candy, etc. It made her stomach rumble. She sighed as she made her towards the main tent, to rehearse her act.
