When Lute opened the door, and then complimented her looks, Ayane couldn't have been happier. She actually had to stifle a bit of a giggle as she made her way into the monster ghoul's dorm. It was so much smaller than her own, but that was fine. She didn't mind at all. Once she was inside, she did a little twirl for Lute so she could see the outfit from all sides. She chose to ignore the second comment - as long as Lute was fine that she was there - that was all that mattered. Besides, she had to get her full opinion on her outfit.
"Really? You like it? I just threw it together today - I wasn't sure how it looked. I'm really glad that you think it looks great." She smiles at the other ghoul, gently placing her purse down on the nearest flat surface.
She had - to be honest, drawn almost all her inspiration from Lute and the way she dressed. Granted, it was a bit more flashy probably - but Ayane couldn't completely keep her personality at bay after all.
"I missed hanging out with you," she finally said after a small pause. "I totally missed your critter post because my brother is a complete jerk and decided to pay me a visit completely unannounced because he's thinking about applying here." She groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I am really hoping he does not."
She as trying NOT to complain about him - but she felt the need to vent. With that off her chest though she felt better and she moved over to Lute and snagged her hands with a grin.
"Bah! Never mind that stupid brother of mine! You wanted to hang out and have fun, so fun we shall have!" She said. "So, did you have something in mind?"

When Ayane came in Lute instantly looked around the smaller dorm. It was a pale pink in color, flower around and strings of fabric over everything. Needles for sewing here and there but otherwise it was 'clean' just unorganized. There were two chairs shaped like heels on either end of the small room, both seemed old like she had likely brought them from home but they were favorites. A small table set between them, which her friends purse was now on.
"I-i do..you look great." She blushed hotter and moved to fuss with some fabric for a moment, trying to make a presentable seat. It only now hit her that Aya had much nicer things. She felt a little embarrassed and quickly wanted to leave the room. Though as Aya started in on her brother she had to quiet a giggle. Lute was kind of an only scareling only not really, her siblings were much older so they didn't have a real connection.
"I missed...y-you too." She had missed her, it had been a pretty rough week. What with getting sick and missing the dance, she felt extra bad about that one but really dances were over crowded either way."I'm sorr-ry about your brother b-but at least you got to see him?" She giggled this time and shook her head, eyes widening slightly before settling as Aya grabbed her hands. It was a thing she was getting use to now, the touching.
"O-oh um! ..Would you like to hang out in Halloween Town-n? The holidays are coming up s-so..I like to window shop." She smiled sweetly and patted Aya's hands.

Ayane enjoyed the silence that she and Lute were able to lapse into. It wasn't the same kind of quiet that she'd experienced with her retainers back at home. That had been the expectation to not speak unless spoken to. With Lute - it was more of a sense of relaxation and calm. It wasn't that Lute didn't want to talk - or felt that she must remain silent unless Ayane spoke to her first - it was that Lute didn't feel the NEED to talk - and that was the biggest difference for Ayane and why she enjoyed the ability to walk with her friend like this so much.
She'd long since come to understand that Lute was a ghoul of few words unless it was about a subject that excited her - which was fine. She was shy and maybe a bit unsure of herself, but Ayane could work with that. The taller ghoul turned and smiled at the other, enjoying the time she had with her friend. She didn't even care if they were spotted as they walked through the halls. Let creeple talk, she had nothing to hide.
She was more than content to let Lute run the show on this play-date of theirs. Mainly because she had no idea what was around in town. Well, aside from the maul at any rate. Once they were outside though, Ayane snuggled herself a bit closer into Lute as if she was trying to steal her warmth. She wasn't quite used to the later October months here at Amityville compared to back home.
"You're warm," Ayane murmured appreciatively to the other ghoul, one hand moving up to stroke the fuzzy ear of her friend before resting against it's furry warmth. "Mmmm, I could just snuggle up to you forever out here."
She wasn't teasing her - she honestly would have been happy to just find a nice warm corner and cuddled up with her friend and just talked. But, Lute seemed so excited that they were getting to go out - so she wanted her friend to have fun. She just make a note to stick around until Lute tossed her out of her Dorm - then invite the other ghoul to just come over to Ayane's and stay the night. They should totally do a sleepover!

Lute turned unaware of what Ayane meant, at least until she was poked. With the touch it felt like her heart stopped, what, was she joking? Oh course she had to be, no one as beautiful as Ayane could take notice of her like that. And, and well besides Ayane probably didn't realize that Lute even liked girls, blame it on her daddy, or well race but it was taught early on to appreciate the female form.
And Lute did, much more than the male.
Thankfully a tongue peeked and Lute was able to breath again, brushing it off as a joke though she was now red from nose to toes. As the other ghoul pulled her in closer, she gave no resistance. Going with the motion and snuggling even a little shyly against her friend as they walked. Thoughts now invading her mind and walking a thin line, what ifs, potential maybes and then those all crashed into a slightly alarmed squeak as lips brushed against her skin, stump of a tail folding down after a furious few flicks up.
Shocked still Lute only really moved because Ayane had decided to keep walking. A little frustrated she sighed and looked up to the other ghoul, staying quiet for a moment then biting her bottom lip. "Ay-.." Soft and sweet she tried to gather the courage to ask her friend not to tease so much, because she didn't know how to respond to the flutters that were filling her chest. But that was halted when they stopped in front of a window. Looking over the clothes Lute smiled brightly knowing it was a stretch from the kimonos Ayane wore. "I-i like it too, you would look great in something..like that." Shy rosy gaze met the ground before peeking up to Ayane, ears twitching a bit. Maybe she could make something like that.

Watching the window for a bit, Ayane turned her head to smile at Lute. "Thanks, we need to find something for you that would match." She felt a thrill as they stood there, snuggled up in front of the window. She wondered if the random passers by thought they were a thing... Snuggled up together against the chill as they went window shopping. She liked the thought, it sent a thrill up her spine that she hadn't felt before.
Turning a bit she reached out and gently placed her fingers under Lute's chin, lifting it a bit so she could look deep into the other ghoul's rose colored eyes. Her own stormy-grey gaze seemed to dance with excitement and perhaps a little bit of apprehension. "Lute... I..."
Did she dare? The other ghoul was just... so... cute right that moment, that she wanted to say something - she wanted to act on her impulses and not be held back by the fear that her only friend wouldn't reciprocate. That was her biggest fear - that acting on her own desires would result in her being alone in this new place.
"I... I..." She took a deep breath, closed her eyes for a minute to steel herself, then slowly opened them again with a soft smile. "I really, really like you... Like - not just as a friend..." She felt he cheeks flush but she stumbled forward, unsure how to actually proceed. "I'm really glad to have met you, and that you've been so willing to put up with me..." She leaned in a little, gently placing her forehead against the other ghoul's.
"So uhm... If I am overstepping my bounds then I'm sorry and just forget I said anything..." She said, suddenly feeling really flustered at the thought that she might actually be upsetting Lute with her confession. She gave the other ghoul a quick, if somewhat awkward, peck on the lips, before slowly pulling back and looking down, her cheeks flushed.

Matching outfits? Hm. She could probably make something that would match them, though Ayane didn't look like a pink to her. Maybe a red for her, then a lighter shade of red for herself. She would have to find more fabric, made the thrift store had some for cheap. Lute started to think, not noticing anything at the moment so the touch to her chin startled her slightly. Hands moved up to touch the one that turned her up to meet the other ghoul's gaze. A thump and her heart was in throat, stuck there as Ayane seemed to fumble on words and thoughts.
What, what was happening?!
"Ayane?" The ghouls name came out as a soft hesistant almost whisper. Clearly her friend was struggling with something and the more she waited to spell it out, the more nervous Lute got. The more nervous she got the worse her mind raced with what ifs, what if she had noticed the way Lute watched her, what if that creeped her out, what she was tired of being friends with her. What if being a monster was really bad for their friendship, bad enough to have creeple picking on her!?
All of those things were nothing compared to what fell from those plump lips though, that, that had Lute floored. Her heart hammered against her chest at the confession, mind spun to try and latch around the idea. Then it came that sudden rush of dizziness as Ayane leaned forward and was inches from her lips before a kiss took what little breath Lute had left.
"I- you- ..." The blood red ghoul suddenly went pale and fell like a sack of rotten potatoes against Ayane.

Of the many, many possible reactions Ayane had been prepared for - the one that occurred was one of the few that didn't make the list. As the other ghoul crumpled into her, she gasped suddenly and caught her as best she could, doing her best to move the thankfully smaller and lighter ghoul out of the sidewalk proper and gently lower her so that she could sit slightly against the building - right under the window they had been looking at prior. Then she knelt down - not minding at all what the sidewalk might be doing to her stockings, and with a single thought, summoned the fan that bore her personal seal.
Opening the fan, she began to gently flutter it with quick skillful strokes to get more air on the other ghoul. "Lute, are you alright?" She asked gently, voice wavering and cracking a little with concern.
She'd given the poor ghoul such a shock she'd killed her! Wiping at her eyes with her free hand and trying to hold back the frantic tears that were starting to well up in her eyes, she was doing her best to try and stay calm in a situation that warranted perhaps more than a fair bit of panic.
"Lute, please be okay - I'm so sorry I didn't mean to shock you... I'm such a jacking idiot I swear if she's okay I'll devote my life to making her happy oh... please by all that is unholy..." Ayane wasn't even aware she was rambling out loud at this point she was so distraught and worked up.

She could hear the broken call of her name, though the words beyond that were lost. As quick burst of air hit, it only took a few moments before rosy eyes were blinked open again. Foggy and trying to focus on where she had ended up, clearly this wasn't the first time this had happened if one couldn't gather from lack of panic. Though unlike the other times nothing really hurt, typically she would have hit something, which resulted in ninety percent of the bruises that showed up.
After a moment to compose Lute was blushing yet again, staring up at Ayane nervously. She felt like such a jacking idiot, hands instantly went up to hide her face, pulling two floppy ears up to help cover more of it. Muttering out around hands, ear and hair, she apologize, "I-i'm ...so..sorry." Lute was confused, she felt that miserable feeling her anxiety brought but the tingle of happiness the confession had sparked.

"No, no, no, don't be sorry!" Ayane said as she snapped the fan shut and placed it beside the monster ghoul was was currently trying to curl up into a ball in front of her. She wrapped her arms tight around the other ghoul, pulling her into a tight embrace even as her lips found the nearest exposed skin they could, pressing against it with a gentle kiss. "I am just glad you are okay..." She murmured before she slowly disengaged.
Then she gently moved her hands to the other ghouls, slowly trying to pry them away from her ears so she could stop hiding. "Please, don't hide from me, Lute."
"I-I didn't mean to make you upset, I should be the one who is sorry. I was being foolish and I spoke out of turn. I should have known better than to think that you might be... into a ghoul like me." She felt her cheeks color and looked down.
"But I meant what I said and I'm too proud to back down from it. I really, really like you lute - and I want you to be mine." Hers and only hers, but she wasn't about to spring that little bit of information on the other ghoul just yet.
"You're so cute and pretty and..." She took a deep breath and composed herself. "I have so much fun when you're around I... don't want it to ever end. I have grown quite fond of you Lute - and I often think of being closer with you than I could with a friend... I need you."
She felt a bit vulnerable throwing that out there - waiting for the other ghoul to crush her dreams under her hooves.
