Ground. Grass. Stone. Earth. Soil. Wind. Breeze? Smell... sounds... touch.
Words rushed into his mind, flooding his newly awakened awareness with knowledge. Limited knowledge- but knowledge. The thing under his body- ground. It was soil. Earth.Covered in a soft something- cool and light. Grass. It had a strange smell to it. Something moved through his fur, across his sleek ebony body and curled through the pockets of his wings. The dark membranes swelled then deflated as the breeze passed through. It felt natural. He wanted the feeling. He wanted more of it.
The B'alam raised his head from the ground and opened one of his wings, testing the newly discovered limb. The hooked claw tipping his wing bent then relaxed. Each of the 'fingers' moved along his wing, testing the feelings. After a few attempts his wing open and spread out.The breeze curled in the pockets of his wings, swelling between his flank and the joint in his second shoulder.
It was what he wanted. What he needed. Flight- he needed flight. He shouldn't be on the ground, the ground was... was.... what?
He shifted slightly, pulling the wing close. For the first time the B'alam's eyes moved. The gentle darkness behind his eyelids suddenly became a searing pain. Light flooded his sensitive eyes, sending waves of vertigo through his body, a surging through his skull, and a burning pain in his eyes. He hissed and brought his paws up, covering his eyes from the horrible thing. So bright... so bright. What was it?! Why did it hurt him!?

"Keep your eyes closed." Instructed from a raspy Balam's voice, he had just happened to be in the area when he laid claim to such a miraculous sight of life being woven. "I know it hurts, and how cruel of the Weaver to do this to you." MorningStar spoke softly, lowing his head close to the Darkkin. Turning his head, MorningStar took the pelt draped over himself in his maw. With a simple movement, the Tahtil placed the pelt over the darker Balam's head covering his face and sight.
This wasn't the first time he had seen a dark kin struggle with light, but to be woven In plain daylight was just as cruel as it was amazing to see another woven right in front of his sight.
MorningStar had been walking the boarder of his camp, while Cain tended to the cub in the nearby cave. They had just found such a sanctuary after their first success of liberation of a cub
"Can you find your paws and stand?" Morning star spoke, his words soft and kind, under full conviction that he was there to help such a unfortunate creature. The weaver had been just as cruel to him.

The B'alam bared his teeth, it seemed a natural response, as something forgien spoke to him. Spoke? It made a sound- yes, speaking seemed right. Something was speaking to him. Someone. Someone was speaking to him. His mind slowly began to process the world around him and the words flooding through his mind. There was no reason to question the request given to him. It seemed reasonable, closing his eyes made the light dimmer, made his eyes feel much better, and took the pain away. Yes. Close his eyes. That was good.
He growled again as something touched him. Something very different from grass or earth. It was soft but heavy, it smelled differently too. It smelled... someone. It smelled of someone. Who he didn't know. There was no feeling from the thing placed over him as there was from the thing that spoke to him. Another one of himself. No...not himself. Something like himself. A B'alam. They were kin. Same kind. Same half-spirit. Same...but different. The voice knew. It understood...
It made the light go away and wrapped him in blessed darkness. The newly-woven sighed his appreciation and held still, his eyes still pressed firmly closed as he'd not been instructed to do otherwise.
Weaver? Weaver...yes. He knew that too. Something large- no form. No face. No smell or feel but real as he was, if not more so. It was a thing that shook him to the core.
Find his paws? He moved, shifting himself. There was a paw. There was another. Two more- yes. Back paws. He brought his paws out, flexing each digit before stretching. Something slid from his paws- pointed. Sharp. Yes, sharp. That was the word for them. Sharp...things. Hooks? Barbs? Claws. Yes, claws.
Stand. He knew that too. His paws met with the ground and his claws tested the earth, piercing the soil and sinking in. Shaky at first, then more fluid as he found use of his legs, the dark B'alam rose up to a stand. Sadly, it was hardly dignified. The pelt hung over his face and part of his shoulders but for the moment, it was a glorious thing. A wonderful thing. In that moment, nothing was more wonderful.

"Good." MorningStar almost seemed to purr in a coe, as the other rose to his paws and tested his claws. That was good progress, he knew how to stand right after being woven too, just like his...
"Your body is strong, but your eyes are weak and burn in the light." The other commented.
"Come." MorningStar spoke, "I will tell you more once we are out of this wretched daylight." The light b'alam added his voice full of irony, as he started to turn himself. His foot steps stopped, as we looked over to the cloaked other, making sure he was to follow. A light white tail swept behind him, in curious thought. Looking back ahead of them....
The path before them was straight and unbroken. Just after that it lead to a covering of dense trees. Something, that could provide some mercy for his newly woven brother.

Faer stood motionless for several long moments. He didn't quite know what to do with his wings. The opened up at his sides, awkward as damp rags. Move? How to move.... he had to move. He didn't want to stand here alone. It was dark here, but as he shifted slightly the darkness moved with him. The darkness had an odd smell. Familiar but different.
He reached a paw out, touched the ground and shifted himself forward. His hind leg moved, then his front paw, another back paw. Over and over- he was moving. Moving forward. Walking- yes, walking. He continued forward, his gait moving quickly from an uncertain waddle to a more fluid stride. His wings slowly pulled close to him, closing up along his sides. This felt more natural. More comfortable.
He wasn't sure of anything- least of all who this voice was or where they were they were moving towards. He just knew that he had no reason to do anything else.Laying there was getting him nowhere, laying in the sunlight was only hurting him.

“That is…what I am called.” The male answered, though there was a slight question in his tone. He gave a sigh as sweet, cool shadow fell over his form. Once his tail passed the shadows Faer settled to the ground, clinging to the pelt possessively. It offered further darkness, deeper shade. It kept the horrible light away from his sensitive eyes. It was a wonderful thing. A cool thing. He liked it… a lot.
Faer glanced up, taking in the appearance of his savior for the first time. His eyes narrowed against the sunlight just on the other side of the shade. His vision wasn’t perfect, in fact the distant sunlight still caused quite a distortion in his gaze and a slight stinging in his eyes, but compared to before he was endlessly more comfortable.
This one… he was odd. Odd? Well…different. Where Faer was black as newly spilt ink, the other was white and golden. He had no wings, instead he had what looked like a collection of shining stones on his back and a snapped twig in his head. In all… it was almost unsettling.
“You are called something too?”

MorningStar paused in his montague, an ear swilved and twitched. His maw remained closed, but a smile couldn't help but curl at the corner of it.
The Ba'lam was young, and dark-it made sense he wouldn't be attracted to light. Perhaps He was -too- young to understand a metaphor....
It caused a chuckle to leave MorningStar. Perhaps a better illistration was needed.
"Yes, you are right." The Tahtill admitted, "Forgive me for realizing you had the capability of understanding a illastration of word so soon." The Balam spoke casually, in a confusing polite tone.
"Regardless," MorningStar spoke, not taking time to glorify the 'poor' choice of word any longer. "A guiding star can still be seen in the night sky unhindered, you will know that soon enough, when night wakes form its slumber." The leader spoke with a flick of his tail, it would be easier to show him when night woke.
"What you need to know now, is I want nothing more to help you. Faer'Este." MorningStar spoke, he wouldn't take the B'alam' choice from his paw, he did however speak the truth. MorningStar wanted to help....and inturn wanted help for his own ambitious gains.

Taking to his hunches, MorningStar sat just out of the Dark Balam's corner gaze. He wanted to take care and not harm the other's sensitive eyes in a reflection of light, not that his horn could gather such a thing. Anymore.
There was a sharp flick of his tail as if to toss the memory away.
"It's a discription of words, my friend." MorningStar was gentle to let him know as a parent to a cub. Keeping in mind that Faer was still in all respects a 'infant', his tone seemed to suggest that, it was something they could talk about later or something he would understand as he 'grew'.
"Wanting to Help, is something that is as natural as a choice." MorningStar spoke in wayward words once more. "Just as what others deem what 'Harm' is." The light b'alam spoke, his tail rose and fell to the ground in thought.
"I only wish to help you in ways the Weaver refuses to." MorningStar sewn with his words.
"Didn't he not choose to harm you, with the light's Rays?" He went on, and paused accordingly to give room for thought.
"While, I inturn choose to shield your eyes from such a harmful sight?" He inquired a question that was already answered.
"I am here to help, to better what the Weaver chooses to neglect and harm." MorningStar stitched together mindful words. Knowing that is was only a matter of perception of how they lay after falling from his mouth. MorningStar, counted on Faer picking them up, in a way he threaded them to.
