Nikita pranced around the base of the rocky hill. It had been a long while since they had conquered water, and since she had successfully pushed her instinctual fear. She had taken a slight liking to swimming. Fish were just fun to catch. Nikita delighted in their shine, as well as their taste and the thought of gifting them to Riot.

Bob had taken to training them more and more and teaching them what knowledge he was gifted with. At times, Bob would take Riot out for some training alone... Nikita figured it was just an earth thing. She didn't mind and was contented to just watch or train.

While the two males were out training, Nikita would do some training of her own. She was resolved to keeping up with them, even if she had to settle for bashing rocks with her skill a but. Actually she found that that had relieved a lot of stress! And by the time the boys returned from the training, Nikita was in the best mood she could have possibly been in. She didn't mind at all. There were other things she did as well, such as practicing being stealthy or working on precision. She wanted Bob to be proud of her too.

One thing Nikita had notice over these long days past, Riot's big head and paws were seeming less and less of a strange size in proportion to his body. She had gotten taller too, quicker, more flexible... but Riot, Riot was stretching out in all directions! And not awkwardly. Though, Nikita was convinced that she was faster than he was now. She was by far -much- narrower now.

They were still cubs, but they were growing up. At least according to Bob.

"RY-RY! I found another one! This one is shiny!!" Nikita called as she looked at a pile of white stripped rocks. They glistened in the afternoon sun, it was as if white sands were caught in the rock.

Bob was lagging behind, allowing the two to run and play their games. Though, Nikita knew that he was keeping a watchful eye, just in case there was any danger.

Pink Mohawk shift and seemed to flex slightly as brown ears flicked to Nikita's calling direction. Picking up his fat head, Riot's large paws quickly shift as he they took him to Nikita's side. Curiously his head bobbed to look around the white Nahtill.

"Hey! They look like you." Riot exclaimed, and if a unseen hand stretched out and picked up the rock. The adolescent rose the hard object a bit better so they both could get a better look at it. Turning it about in the air, Riot's head tilted a little to the side, as he inspected the stone. Azure eyes slipped over to the corner of his gaze.

"But not quite, add a little red and it would be just right." The growing cub smiled gently lobbing the stone in the air a bit.

Brown tail flicked in the air, a smirk was replace on the older cub's maw. Turning his head, Riot looked over to where their protector watched. Taken in a slow breath, Riot's chest noticeably heaved. They had grown so much, Riot had taken a noticed of the changes that both of them had been experiencing. Robert had been right, though he was sure Nikita was faster then him now and a little bigger even. He had certainty taken notice to how much sleeker he coat was, and how his own paws where easier to lift now. However, all that was good; but Bob, had seemed to be worried about something as of late, or so it seemed. Sir Robert had been telling him on their talks about protection and how it was vary important.

"Hey-" Left Riot as he turned his head to look back at his friend, his maw stretched into a wide toothy smile. Blue eyes matched, beautiful crimson ones.

"Guess what..."

Before Nikita had a chance to answer, Riot's paw out stretched but before it made contact with Nikita-he quickly changed his movement to bonk her head with his own.

"You're it!" The cub quickly spouted before lopping off and up the hill of rocks.

---

A sky blue gaze peered down on the cubs, a down wind position help conceal the location of where they watched. MorningStar had been watching these three for the past few days now. Two cubs had caught his eye, one of which with horns caught his sight more then the other. The one without horns was just so...plain. He seemed to lack a special kind of potential, that and he seemed to be with the older grown B'alam more.

Hmm....

Eyes remained focus on the cubs as they interacted.

"The one with horns..." Soft compelling words left MorningStar as he spoke to his Needle; his most trusted.

"The others are of earth, let them return to it..."

"Almost like a reversed me..." Nikita admitted as she looked the rock over carefully. It was easier to do with it turning in the air like that, and when it wasn't herself having to lift it.

Crimson eyes trailed after the rock until it bounced out of sight. A gentle sigh left her law before she turned attention back to Riot.

"uph" Nikita huffed as she was knocked back a bit by Riot's swift head-tag.

"Hey!" She laughed in mid-sprint toward Riot. Her long legs stretching to their fullest with each stride. By instinct, her head lowered just slightly while her tail stuck out behind, almost as if it were her rudder.

Her eyes focused on him, just as Sir Robert had instructed her when hunting prey. Riot was a clever one, not dumb like the real pray was, but it made it a challenge. Nikita loved a good challenge.

A smile grew on her maw as she drew closer to him. It was harder to run up a hill, but she was proud of the progress.

"Yes, M'lord..." Cain responded firmly, his ears perked toward the cubs as well.

With the dreaded sun still out, he had to keep his eyes closed to prevent them from burning in the blinding light. But he knew which one Morning Star was talking about, he had observed them in the night before.

"When night falls, she will be yours." He than confirmed as his head turned toward his lord.

He shifted his wings a little before turning attention back to the playful cubs. The older adult could be heard, he was never far away from the two... he just had to wait, wait for the perfect moment. Separate them, and take what they needed.

Bob paused mid-step and looked to the tops of the cliffs. His ears flicked forward, chest puffed. The armor on his tail chimed softly as his tail swayed back and forth. Strange...

Paws dug deep into the ear, as Riot scales the hill of stone in playful evasion of his friend. His own tail curved in a upside down 'c' making a delicate arch as he bounded up the hill. Strong muscles worked like a well oiled machine, this kind of play with Nikita was often, Bob said it helped in training. for whatever that is. In the cubs mind, it was just another game...

The chase was on, but the growing cub had a few tricks up his sleeve. Seeing a boulder just before him, with a leap he bounded off it in a slant to launch him of the rock and propel him in a different direction. Back down the hill....

As the cub leap, his chest puffed as he held back his excitement Incase he couldn't quite make it past Nikita. She was quick, and no doubt was expecting him to do something, she had come to know him quite well...

It made things all the more challenging to try and get things past her. He liked that she knew him so well, and didn't want it any other way.

---

MorningStar slowly nodded his head as his trusted Needle answered him just as he knew he would. Such a loyal follower...

"Good, my faithful Needle..." MorningStar spoke, as he started to turn himself from the cliff face. It was best, just as always to leave before they where noticed-for this wasn't a instance to be known.

"Come." The leader finished, pausing only slightly so Cain could listen to his steps and follow him. Just as Cain walked for him in the Night, MorningStar lead him in the light. The tail taken would lead them out of sight to wait for the night.

"yes M'lord." Cain confirmed boldly. His large ears tuned into Morning Star's movements carefully before he turned around to follow closely.

The light may have taken his sight but he would still be alert and ready to protect his leader.

As always, Nikita had been keeping a close eye on his movements. He was good at changing the game suddenly and doing the normally unexpected. Just as he seemed to be for her, she was equally good at reading his actions and mind.

However, something caught her eye. It was briefly there and Nikita had to double check to be sure of what she saw... pink, Riot pink atop the cliff. But as she looked back on the second take, it was gone. Nikita's crimson gaze remained on the cliff just to see if whatever it was would suddenly show again.

*THUDCRACK*

The sound of thick skull meeting with thicker rock echoed within her ears and strangely behind her eyes.

Before she knew it the puffed Riot had already gained more ground than he should of. She was making this too easy for him! Another huff passed her nostrils and without second thought she raced after Riot, trying to make up for lost time.

The impact didn't phase her, it didn't even cause her head to hurt. At most it was a great frustration.

Once again her legs stretched to their fullest and mind returned to the task at hand.

Bob's brow furrowed from behind the mask. Something was not setting right in his mind. Whatever it was, he could not find any sign past the feeling in his gut.

Attention turned back to the rocky hills where Riot and NIkita were playing. Recently, since they had grown quite a bit, he had allowed them to venture a bit more past his sights. They were more capable of holding their own, but Sir Robert remained close enough still to be able to act quickly if need be.

Riot managed to bound away from the chase only to hear the loud 'crack'. Landing, Riot paused in step to look over his shoulder at Nikita-ears perked forward as eyes went a little wide. There where several thoughts that raced though the cub's thought at the time, like: That sounded like it was painful! Was she okay?!

However, seeing her unrelenting in the chase, Riot's fur couldn't help but raise in alarm, and with a hop he darted away once more. She was perfectly okay, and gaining on him!

Ears flicked down tight in the back of his head, and larger paws took lest time to grip the ground as strides turned In to bounds.

"Really Think you can catch me, Nikita!?" The cub teased, knowing full well she could. How ever, it was all in good fun.

Riot had been oblivious to the sight or feel of any on lookers, as the two of them played, as far as he was concerned-Sir Robert would protect them and he would too, if something ever came their way.

Nikita continued to be unaffected by the solid hit to the rock she took moments ago. However, she took that odd sight as an effect of hitting the rock, perhaps Riot had just moved too fast and it confused her eyes.

Her stride picked up to an almost gliding bound. This time she was sure she had a lock on him and where his fat pink hair was.

"YES!" Nikita hollered back. At the moment, her mind was a bit too focused on catching him to respond to him in a more playful manner.

She was determined to pounce him! This was her all-time favorite game, pounce the Ry-ry. Bob said she may have been a bit taller than he was now, but that wouldn't last long. She had to take advantage of this while she had it... Even if she still viewed Riot to be her equal in every way.. she just happened to be a little taller at the moment.

"ALMOST!"

Not quite, but she was catching up to him very quickly.

Riot's shorter legs tried as they might to get away from his Friend. He knew he had lost some speed looking back at Nikita making sure she was okay.

Riot let out a laugh as he felt himself loosing ground. His tail whipped around to the side and his body fallowed's suit.

Facing the charging Nikita, paws dug into the earth and puffing out his chest. The cub let out a 'roar', it was only slighty greater then it was before-but he had been practicing and it was getting better.

Bracing for impact, the cub thought it better to take the attack head on then from behind.

---

"How are your eyes, Cain." Left MorningStars maw in a soft roughness that was his normal tone. He only spoke when he knew they where out of sight and hearing range.

Walking down the hill, his pace was normal and kind to Cain's own blind strides. The leader was genuinely concerned for his follower's safety and Heath. After all, MorningStar knew what it ment to wonder around blind. To the cruel fate Milintica had left him too, he had fought against it and lived. He hope to spread this same faith, and determination with others-to fight and rebel what fate the Grandweaver had given them. These cubs, would be the first to be liberated...

Nikita charged toward Riot with all the force of the earth itself. Her head ducked downward while her arms prepared to wrap around Riot in a full on tackle. She had been slightly better about not fully headbutting him. They had already established her head was much harder than his.

The roar didn't phase her as she charged forward. Though, inwardly, she had to be very impressed at the improvement. He had been taking Bob's lesson's to heart! This one seemed a little more intimidating than the others. Nikita couldn't help but be proud to it. Riot was her best friend, she liked to share in his accomplishments.

Hind legs spring from the ground as she launched herself forward and toward Riot. Forearms begun to open wide in preparation to tackle Riot. Once agin, she was far too focused on the move to add her own roar. It was becoming more and more common for this to happen.

Cain followed Morning Star without a hint of mistrust. Each step he took did not waver one bit. His leader would not bring any harm to him, unless it was necessary.

"My eyes are as well as they can be in the light, M'lord." Cain responded with his deep yes sincere tone. "I am grateful for your guidance."

Or else he would surely be dead. Morning Star had saved him from death after he had crashed upon the sun's first light. He had no idea the agony it would cause to his eyes, nor the fact it would take his sight away. Only at dark could he see anything. That was the way he was woven into existence. Cruel, but Cain was determined to use it to the glory of the one who saved him.

As Nikita leapt at him, Riot's large paws flexed and gripped the earth under him. His growing rock body braced it's self stubbornly.

As Nikita's paws wrapped around hums, Riot's head tilted downward wanting to absorb the impact as much as he could. He may have been tackled but he was fighting being taken down, trying to be a bolder-like the one she had just rammed against. Though, thinking about it she did recover quickly, and was unfazed.

Scary.

Oh well, the cub braced for impact.

---

"You are truly a faithful servant, Cain." Left MorningStar in a quite but firm tone. "It is a pity, the Weaver would forsake, but never fear I will never leave you Cain. You have so much more potential then what you where left to." The leader went on you explain Cain's worth, a worth the Grand weaver had not 'seen'.

Such a cruel creator.

But he however was a good leader and saw the worth in others. The potential that could be used.

Walking down the hill, a soft breath released the light B'alam, as he turned his head to their 'camp'. Starting his pace once more, he traveled in the needed direction.

The bigger, adult b'alam might be a problem-but it was nothing to distract and divide ones attention.

Nikita may have been taller and more slender than Riot was, but she was not as steady. Her hind paws dug into the ground while her entire frame pushed forward and leaned from side to side. No matter which way she tried to toss him it seemed impossible to move him. He was becoming more and more like a boulder.

At least she had the speed and occasionally a good pounce. A gentle laughing-huff passed her nostrils as she tried with every ounce of her being to get him to tip to one side.

"You're getting heavy" she playfully grunted in-between huffs.

Her tail whipped around while her head tucked inward. Despite having trouble, she resisted using her head. This was a test of pushing and shoving, not head-butting. It had already been determined that she could easily win that one.

"You have my trust... There is not an ounce of doubt within my blood." Cain affirmed his loyalty boldly.

There was no room for doubt, and despite his constant show of loyalty, he never felt it could be enough to show Morning Star his appreciation. Where the weaver was cruel, Morning Star was compassionate and caring. It was Morning Star that saved his life and continued to look out for his wellbeing. Cain continued to vow to protect him and gather whatever it was he needed. That would only be a mere fraction of what he could do in payment for his life.

As Nikita impacted Riot, it was like slamming into a wall-for a quick moment.

"Yeah, it's my fat head." The cub grunted back, trying to be stubborn with holding his ground, but as the Nahtill was keen to rock back and forth...Riot's footing slipped. His tail whipped around wildly trying to keep his balance.

To no avail.

The cub was taken down in a wave a shock and a fit of laughter. Dark paws wrapped around Nikita as he tried to roll back, hoping to gain momentum to push her off to the side. Though, however he knew it was unlikely. She had a height advantage....

---

"Good, Cain. It will serve you well." MorningStar spoke knowing he wouldn't ever need to ever doubt his needle. He had saved the poor lost soul, and he wasn't going to throw him away like the Grand weaver had plan to do so.

When the Sunsets MorningSar will have another soul to take care of and groom for a great purpose.
