Wow. That sounded like an advertisement. Lol.
We saw an exodus in October after ask the admin was cancelled and "Lanzer" made the announcement. It was pretty crazy seeing screenshots of different sites that had Gaia refugees all over the newbie forums for a couple months.
I have no intentions or interest in another avatar forum. I've been with Gaia for ten years and invested a lot of time, and money in the past. If it all end here I'll be spending muuuch less time on the computer all around. This one is it for me , I'd hate to say goodbye to my home. heart
When holidays came around each year, Gaia was always part of it and I looked forward to it like a little kid. If this site shuts down I know I'll find myself thinking what the Gaia event would have been like that year. I already miss my MCs, I used to get them every month.

My only use for other avatar sites would be to witness the movement of the Gaian diaspora after this site goes down for good. If that day ever comes, we'll see the rest of the Internet mourn over the death of Gaia Online.

I've seen him around. I don't talk to him much but he has a point.
Trust me guys, Solia is awesome. It's a great community there and I have met many amazing people, and I actually like it better than Gaia. Give it a try before dismissing it.

Before you say that I should go on, I did. You can Google my username and my Solian account profile does pop up, though I haven't been on since the day I joined that site
I'm not going back, not after that
Kingdom of Knuffel gave me a warmer welcome, and they're slow from losing members themselves
Disinterest or something in their case

When I browsed the Solia forums as a lurker, I came across a hangout thread for ex-Gaians, with fate as one of the hosts of the thread (as Namea). I haven't seen Solia staff commenting about Gaia issues, however. Menewsha, on the other hand, had an admin and a few mods openly discuss on the forums about Gaia's problems (together with one of Gaia's former mods). They even used one of the NPCs to talk about Gaian refugees. I don't have much to say about the others, though.

Maybe you came across some bad apples? only one person said him and that was a fellow Gaian The overall response I got was "go back to your lame background Syndrone" Yeah, people were complaining about the background And the avis, I don't like the proportions Would you like me to bring up the rant on my dA about it?

Wow I see hadn't had pm like that but was mentioned another site went there five mins then came back, been part of Gaia since 07 and feels like home either way is hard place to leave I still like gaia but ignore most annoucements

When Gaia goes, I will not be joining another avatar community. I've registered for a few, but I just don't have the interest that drew me to Gaia in the first place.
And from time to time I feel that is seriously waning too.

This looks like a plug to get referrals and some kind of bonus for them on Solia.
I'll weigh in with my two cents, however:
I didn't enjoy Solia at all. I don't care for the proportions of the avis, nor the clothing, nor the people I've seen there. It was not very welcoming for me at all, and aside from the art crowd, it feels like being the new kid walking into a high school lunchroom: Everybody stares at you, but quickly turn away to return to conversations about themselves.
Recolor is pretty nifty, but extremely boring. There are a ton of people from Gaia there, and their avis and items are by far the best I've seen, but their games are glitchy and it's hard (and boring) to earn bits (gold).
As for Gaia, I've completely lost interest due to Gaia being run by people that don't care about their members. -shrug-
