The forest, appropriately dubbed suicide forest, was eerily beautiful. Thick moss rolled over lava rock and tree roots, and the trunks stood so close they blocked the wind. There didn't seem to be many animals that dwelled within the cracks and crevices in and among the brush, and it was quiet. Long, thin trunks twisted together in their climb towards to the canopy and the life giving sun, and they looked like the ropes that dangled forlorn and forgotten from the branches. When a body was found, the nose was cut. Loops of robe lay hidden in the leaves off the path. There were lengths of ribbon and tape that veered off into the trees, and there would always be something to find at the end. An abandoned tent, some sign of humanity, or a body. Like a gruesome prize at the bottom of the cereal bowl. A dark figure was currently strolling through the soft light that was filtering through the trees. It was late afternoon, the sun moments from setting, and ashen fingers were curled loosely around a long stretch of tape as she walked beside it through the growing gloom and thick press of trees. She had seen the body, decay having settled until they were unrecognizable. It had been lovely sight to behold, but there was work to be done, and they needed to be nearer to the path. "This place is beautiful," she offered up softly into the eerie quiet, flashing a smiling to the tall stallion that moved like a silent shadow at her back. A sound, quiet at first but growing louder, drew her attention back around and towards the path they were headed back to. It could have been a human, some depressed soul at the end of their ropes, but she didn't think so. It sounded to her like multiple sets of feet moving about. The forest was was a national park, hikers weren't unusual, but a certain intuitive tension rolled, tightening thin shoulders as she fell quiet to listen.

The very atmosphere of the place seemed to resonate with something within him, and that, combined with walking along next to his priestess had the stallion relaxed and comfortable. For a while they merely moved through the woods in companionable silence, drinking in the sights around them. He let out a small hm of agreement, nodding and then smiling back at her. "Good place for a picnic," he offered back. Their walk was interrupted by movement in the trees and without stopping he brushed his arm against hers. "I think they're trying to surround us," he mused aloud, his mood lifting even further. "Do you want to focus on them one at a time or shall we each work on individuals?" He didn't mind either way, and in a way he would enjoy having his priestess give orders on their mission. And hopefully in their new room when they got back, spirits high with their victory. It never hurt to spice things up now and again.

It was a lovely place for a picnic. The hunter's presence didn't destroy the allure of the forest in the least. If anything, it added. Soren delighted in death, and Nergui carried a uniquely strong battle lust for a mare of the sisterhood. The guardian brushed her arm, and she gave him an eager smile before a melodic, dark little laugh trickled past full lips. "I propose a game." She could see them now, white coated individuals moving through the trees with rune touched weapons glowing in the gloom. "The first to kill a hunter wins." They could begin facing off against their own targets, and join up for the third. "Loser finds themselves blinded-folded and bond upon our return home." Her voice purred out as her blade formed in her hand, and she traced the tip along the back of his thigh. "Helpless." Heterchromic eyes glowed, bright with obvious heat. "At the mercy of the other." Teeth dimpled her lower lip, an enticing, teasing gesture as the hunters circled them. She didn't have to wait for a verbal agreement to her terms to know she had his attention. Instead she flashed him a fierce little grin before charging one of their targets. Steel struck steel, clanging in the eerie quiet as she pushed the human back. They staggered, swinging their axe wildly as booted feet caught on jutting roots. The priestess took her opening, slashing through the man's shield and tearing his coat. He didn't bleed, yet, but soon. HP: 47 DMG: 6 Hunter HP: 34 singularly, 114 collectively.

((We do +1 damage for each hit~)) A game sounded interesting and he waited expectantly, wondering what sort of challenge she would set up. As she began to outline her plan his eyes widened slightly before he gave her a heated look. He should have known with his mare. It was pleasurable enough to feel her blade on him, to see her turn to face off against the one with the axe. He was distracted enough that one of the other hunters got fairly close to him, their mace skimming past him. Without a thought he backhanded them with his gauntlet, then frowned at himself. No, this was a contest that he would very much enjoy winning, he needed to focus more. Though if he lost...well that might not be such a bad thing either. "If we wait that long," he called to Neru, ideas already whirling in his head. HP: 47 Individual Hunter: 37 Collective: 111

Soren's observation had the mare laughing as she faced off against the ax wielding Hunter. She knew the wager would appeal to him. It combined two of his favorite things, her and killing humans. If she won, and she had every intention of doing so, maybe she would even slice an apple to feed to him while she had him tied up and helpless. Oh, what a fun idea. Grin widening unpleasantly, the mare charged at her opponent with a wide swipe of her saber. It took him across the chest, sending him staggering backward, and she lashed out with a wild swing of his ax as a pained cry filled the quiet forest. The third hunter came in from the side, and she caught the jabbed thrust he aimed at her with her dark blade, deflecting it before kicking the hunter away. With the first blows already underway Soren knew he needed to focus. There was more on the line here than mere human blood, but at the same time that was their mission. He could enjoy killing for the clan, and the sooner it was done, the sooner he reaped the rewards. He let the hunter get close enough to get a light blow in, but in reality he was reeling the hunter in. Now that she was close she couldn't move the mace easily enough to block his attack. His sword disappeared, the Fear holding it together momentarily dissipating as he continued to move his arm. When he summoned it again the tip was buried in her side, and with a jerk he ripped it out, reveling in her screams as blood started running down her side. A scream filled the air, and a quick glance was turned to Soren and his opponent, picking up the blood, the look on her stallion's face. It had the mare licking her lips, pulse speeding, and it was was distracting enough that one of the other two Hunters manged to slip in close enough to land a hit. That tore her back around with an angry snarl, and her hand snapped out, dark fingers closing around a pale throat and squeezing. The ax wielder gasped, hitting at her arm to break her hold, but she'd dug her nails, left her mark on him. Goddess, she wanted to choke the life out of him. The lust of battle was settling on his shoulders as well as his cloak ever did. He could barely feel the attack from the hunters, just a vague sensation of his Fear shield flexing slightly, and he was still on the hunt. His blow was not quite as powerful this time, but he landed it near the hunter's already bleeding wound, adding pain she was doubtlessly already feeling. It made him grin. Out of the corner of his eye he could see his priestess. She had not made a call for help, and he knew she could handle herself. If she needed him he would be there in an instant, but for now they could both enjoy the suffering the hunters currently felt. HP: 41 Damage: 6 Hunter (Single): 19 Hunter (Collective): 82

Help? Nergui didn't need help. At least not yet. She was a tough mare, even as the as of yet unclaimed Hunter moved in to strike along with the first. Together they managed to lad a blow, the third hunter's whip snapping hard against her back as she hopped away from the first and their ax as he swung it at her mid section. It was a stinging pain, needling, and she rounded on the other, kicking a foot into their stomach to drive them away from her before turning to slash a thin cut across her target's cheek. There was something to be said about slaughtering a human. There was another feeling entirely in making it suffer before ultimately causing it's demise. As Neru kicked away the third hunter it came at him, landing a small blow that Soren didn't even register as he continued hacking away at the huntress in front of him. She was struggling to stand now, swaying slightly as Soren momentarily moved out of reach. He wanted her to have time to realize her fate. HP: 38 Damage: 7 Hunter (Single): 12 Hunter (Collective): 74

Oh dear, it looked as though her guardian had begun to pull ahead in their little competition. Nergui slowed in her attack, eyes tracking the muscled stallion as he tore into the whip wielding female, her breath caught in her throat, pulse speeding. Hers. He was her stallion, her mate, her guardian. If she caught his attention he see the heat in mismatched eyes, the press of teeth in her lower lip. It didn't matter who walked out of these woods the victor, she would have her prize regardless. But that didn't mean she wouldn't give him a run for his money. Tearing her eyes off the stallion as a sharp sting sung through her arm, the priestess spun on her heel. Arms up, she brought her sword down on an angle to slice across the Hunter's torso from shoulder to hip. There was a cry of pain, a strained curse, and her target backpedaled, ax raised to ward off the next blow as fear began to fill the man's eyes. It was too late, they were overpowered. Three against two, and their numbers accounted for nothing. Goddess, it was coming off him in waves, and a rich, maliciously giddy laugh rang out in cruel clarity through the near silent forest. It was intoxicating watching her in action, and Soren could feel the blood pounding through his veins, excited as he watched her. He would be satisfied to do this forever. To fight by her side and to watch as she dismembered the weak cattle that they fed upon. To stand proudly by, assisting her and watching over her, guarding her back. He had made a good decision in agreeing to become her guardian. Perhaps a delayed decision, but he would not take that back either. He had needed, and still needed, the freedom and the choice. But he could feel that it would be harder and harder to leave her, and he could tell that he did not truly want to anymore. So instead he just showed off, flexing a bit unnecessarily as he wore his huntress down, toying with her now, making her bleed as much as possible. He looked entirely too much like a cat bringing home prey, flaunting it and begging for praise, but with the token resistance they were facing it was hard not to make a show of it. It was impossible not to notice Soren's flaunting. The flex of tanned muscles, the little extra flare he demonstrated as he continued on the offensive, All of it made her love him just that little bit more. Not just the stoic giant she had met so long ago, but so much more. She flashed him a quick grin before her attention had to return to her quarry. He was tiring, visibly, but with that rising fear came desperation. Now he was at his most dangerous. He charged, a wild attack that let him catch the mare's arm with his ax, but it left him open as he passed, and Nergui's blade came up under his arm, slicing upward to let his own momentum tear the wound deeper. Now he bleed, his shield finally cracking. He didn't have much time left, and Nergui could see that awful knowledge in the man's eyes. It was met with a cooled smile, mismatched eyes half lidded. Though no matter how close her own target was to the end, Soren's was nearer. She was blooding freely now, swaying on her feet as her stallion toyed with her. One solid hit wold finish her. Victory was within her guardian's grasp. He need only reach out and take it. HP: 32 DMG: 5 Hunter (Singular): 8 Hunters (Collective): 51

Her grin was all he needed, and it was time to finish the huntress off. There was something to be said about letting his priestess blindfold him, trussing him up like a present for her to unwrap. There was something else to be said about him getting to do it to her. She had dangled too tempting a prized before him, and now he took it, reaching out and ripping his armored fingers through her neck, slicing through her jugular in a spray of crimson that soaked the third hunter as he jabbed at Soren. As Soren reveled in the warm spray he barely noticed the attack, shrugging it off before turning to the priestess, eyes dark and full of promise. "I'll enjoy collecting my winnings."HP: 32 Damage: 7 Hunter (Singular): KO Hunter (Collective): 45 (I don't guess the extra damage would go to the 3rd one? IDK I'm not worried about it)
