[Graduation Dungeon] Shun and Mitsu [FIN]

How long had it been since Shun first arrived to the school? A time when he didn't believe in friends. Didn't know love. A time before hunters and when he had both eyes in tact. Technically, it had only been about three years. It's felt longer.

The Reaper let out a breath as he walked on into the room. Pausing just beyond the threshold, he turned to look towards Mitsu. Were they ready for this step? Maybe. Maybe not. But it was something they were going to need to take sooner or later. He wanted to be able to keep her safe from all the terrors that the world's been throwing at them. Hunters. Legacies. Anything. This felt like a good step to take in terms of pushing for that.

"Ready?" he asked quietly. He wasn't sure what to expect from this exam. He hadn't really heard of much regarding it. The fact that it was called a dungeon was... curious to say in the least. He had been training hard as of late. Perhaps that will help with this excursion.  

[Inu-Mitsu]

In a way it felt like this day had come too soon. Three years wasn't a lot of time but considering the things they had gone through in those three short years it was enough to account for a lifetime of experience. Mitsu supposed there would never be a point in her life when she wouldn't be learning, this was just another step in the process. A milestone. Tilting her head slightly she took in the reaper beside her and gave him a soft smile. There was no other person she would rather go through this milestone with.

"As ready as I will ever be."

Shun reached for her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze, then venturing further in. He found himself in a circular room. Beyond that, he could hear something big and metallic. Reflexively, he summoned out his daggers and stepped forth in front of Mitsu.

The large knight like creature had soon appeared before them.

"I should have figured a fight would be involved," he uttered under his breath. Crouching down, he watched the knight carefully, then bolted forth to attack.

"Let's take it down," he hissed as he stabbed into the creature before getting knocked aside by the haft of the lance.

[Inu-Mitsu]

Squeezing her reaper's hand in return Mitsu headed toward the circular room as well. While Shun was on the lookout for danger though, Mitsu's eyes caught something just beyond the knight in question. Their goal was in sight but just out of reach and as Shun stepped in front of her Mitsu sighed slightly and stepped to the side to stand beside him. This wasn't something he could protect her from, she had to put in her own effort. "When is there never a fight?" Really, when had there ever not been a fight?

Nodding to her reaper she waited for his cue and just as Shun lunged forward Mitsu did the same, her claws at the ready. There was a sharp noise as her claws bit into armor but before she could retreat the knight had spun and batted her away with his javelin.

"Are you alright?"

Shun rolled onto the ground, then pushed himself back to his feet with a grunt.

"Yes. I'm fine. You?" he shot at her, taking note that she had been bashed away as well. While it seemed to have its attention on the werewolf, the reaper went to move around to try and flank it. He managed to get behind, in which he quickly sunk his blades into a gap within its armor. The knight quickly retaliated by butting the end of its weapon into his abdomen.

[Inu-Mitsu]

There was a swift nod, though Mitsu was mainly focused on trying to keep the knight's attention. Though as soon as Shun attack she did the same, leaping toward his legs trying to aim for the joints hoping to take him down. She managed to get in an decent slice at his knees but once again before she could move she found the end of his javelin sweeping toward her.

Mitsu tried to duck out of the way but the tip of the weapon smacked her against the face and threw her back, stumbling to catch her balance. Once she had regained her equilibrium she wiped at her cheek with the back of her hand, red eyes focused on the knight. There was a determination that couldn't be mistaken. She would not fail in this task.

The strike caused Shun to stagger back a bit. It didn't hurt much, but it did put him off balance for the time being. Letting out a breath, he lashed out at the knight soon after it struck his fiance again.

"Lay off of her already," he hissed sharply as he struck his blades deeply into the knight's side. It seemed like the creature was getting ready to back off.

"Just a little more..."

[Inu-Mitsu]

Yes, just a little more. Mitsu could feel the end drawing near. With another hit to the knight she leaped back taking a bit of damage. It was minor but she didn't want to take much more.

Following Mitsu's lead, Shun rushed in in, ready to finish off the knight. The creature blocked his initial advance, before hurling him off to the side.

"Shun!" Mitsu reached out toward her fiance, almost instinctively willing him to be okay. She knew better, Shun was tougher than that but it made her no less worried.

Turning toward the knight she hoped to keep his attention and made another attack but instead she missed her target completely and was pushed away like a rag doll.

"I'm fine," Shun grunted out as he pushed himself up to his feet. Shaking his head, he let out a breath and turned towards the knight. It looked like it was up in a defensive position now.

"Che.."

Not letting that deter him, he rushed ahead. The lance caught him in the shoulder, grazing past, but he still managed to strike the armored creature.

[Inu-Mitsu]

It was good to hear he was fine, though Mitsu also had to remind herself that Shun often lied about his condition. Or rather what she saw as bad he saw as merely a scratch. That aside she focused on the knight again. He seemed ready to go about this all over again. Letting out a sigh she got into position. "Round two..."

She came charging at the knight again but instead of throwing a hit she swept her leg upward and caught the knight squarely in the side. Despite her strength, however, the knight barely moved and managed to grab her leg and throw her away like it was nothing.

"Yeah," Shun nodded curtly. He gritted his teeth, sidestepping the knight's initial attack. He used this opportunity to slip in and slash it across an exposed area in the armor. Though just as he did this, the knight shoved him away roughly.

"Tough b*****d isn't it?"

He looked over at Mitsu to see how she was faring.

[Inu-Mitsu]

Mitsu watched Shun get pushed back, and nodded in response. He was tough, it didn't seem like the knight was going to slow down any time soon but the determination had yet to leave Mitsu's eyes.

Planting her feet she went in for another attack. It landed solidly, just like the others, but just like the other times she was pushed aside like it was nothing.

It looked like she was fine still. Shun let out a sigh of relief at this. They both had come a long way since they first started. Feeling an extra surge of determination to see this through with her, he slipped in past the knight's defenses and struck one more time, causing it to stagger back a bit.
